Celebrating 50 years of Godfather! Premiering fifty years ago, on March 14, 1972, the film opened to blockbuster business and became a landmark, inspiring two film sequels, imitations, book sequels, a computer game, parodies, and more cultural references and quotable dialogue than nearly any movie of the last half-century. This wonderful music was composed by the legendary Nina Rota!
Dammit…Now I have to learn it! And I’ve just picked-up my daughter’s flute she left here when she ran away to college and got married. Never played before but I’ve been working on Bourrée to the first repeat.
The flute playing is superb as always :-) It's just a little annoyance that the orchestra also plays the melody line so that the flute doesn't stand out so well (if I'm not mistaken?).

My father's favorite song, of all time. I wish I could find the music sheet to play for him. But I am Also scared I won't give the song justice.
he will appreciate you learning it for him anyway, I'm rather sure. I plan to learn it for my father, The Godfather was always his favorite movie.
i literally am doing a gcse music composition and i just had it pointed out to me it sounds like the godfather theme and i cannot do this rn
