Stat Expectations On Caleb Williams: What's Realistic?!?

- We've never had an offense like this before
Pair that up with a Top 5 Defense
Why would we shy away from Caleb having an amazing rookie year?
What are your (stat) expectations? We know all that matters is winning, but the stats obviously help that...

love your enthusiasm
needs to be REAL close to 4k.
4,700 passing yards 37 total TDs (passing and rushing)
Edit: haha!! I posted this before i saw your whole video!! I numbers makes sense. People gonna say he had the best year only second to mahomes. So the Mahomes comparisons are gonna go crazy and every team is gonna look for this type of QB
Nice work!
I dig this
You’re the go to bears channel on TH-cam, you always keep it real. We need you as bears fans man great content
Great content Adam, the possibilities are endless for this team.
I’m still tempering expectations I’ve been hurt many times before
QBPTSD
I'm embracing the greatness that's possible and not afraid of any backlash
Nevertheless the best situation we've been in should be a very exciting season this year. Chicago up BEAR DOWN 💯🐻🏈 Exciting times
🐻⬇️
The rebuild is still in progress. New key players on offense, new OC and O staff, and new DC to boot. Playoffs is realistic goal this year, but with 2025 cap and draft capital, expectations should be sky high next year.
So fun! I agree with your projections. 4700 yards and 40 tds
For those gawdy #'s to happen, the Bears O -line has to be AT WORST middle of the pack in pass protection. I am hoping that they can be somewhere in the top 7-12 range in pass pro. If they can do that and stay healthy (knock knock especially on Teven Jenkins), then watch out!
Great content Adam thanks again! Bear Down! I should have known you're a farm boy. I love the strait talk
🐻⬇️
I think what’s failed to be mentioned here is how good the defense will be. That will affect the style of football the bears play. They will be less likely to “air it out” or “run up the score” when they have such a good defense. Couple that with him being a Rookie and they will be cautious to not damage his confidence.
Also, as far as the comparison to mahomes first year numbers. Mahomes sat and learned for a year like you mentioned. He learned from a pro bowl QB. He also had Reid who might be the best offense mind in NFL history. And finally he had arguably the best WR/TE combo in nfl history. That offense was already a well oiled machine. It’s not fair to think Williams could even come close to those number, EVEN with how good of a situation he’s entering.
You're using too much logic for my hype video... This is too logical.
... But in all seriousness, Poles has even spoken several times about a "balanced attack"
I've been confused by the media on this one. The last 6 months they've been saying we need to upgrade at qb with CW to get to the SB. We add a bunch of weapons and upgrade the line and defense. Now the media is all about "well he's just a rookie, they should compete for a wild card spot". My take is anything but NFCCG or SB is a disappointment because I fully believe with the trajectory this team was on at the end of last year and the team improvements Fields would've had us winning at least 1 playoff game.
Love this! 🐻⬇️
Calebs floor in stats is 3800 yards passing, throwing 35 TDs less than 15 INTs and Fumbles. He has a better coaching staff, better play caller, better o-line and 3 times more weapons Fields had last year,.
3500-4k yards, 25-30 Tuds, 4 or 5 rushing Tuds
I appreciate the work involved in your prediction Adam. And I've seen a lot of them, all being careful to be reasonable. But just imagine what happens if he blows up the league with this stacked offense he has. Just saying....
Agreed! Which is exactly why I threw caution to the wind 🐻⬇️
I can see us playing the lions on opening day OR on thanksgiving!! We swapped running backs so there is a lot of story there and everyone wants to see caleb play on the national spotlight. Another team is the 49ers in week one on prime time. They made lions play the chiefs last year. The bears font have chiefs on schedule but the best team is 49ers
And we're the Lions of last year
The emerging team that's scary
These expectations are a little wild considering he would have to have far and away statistically the best single season in every category over any QB in Bears history, much less by a rookie... Did we forget what it's like slinging the pigskin in the elements on the lake front in November & December... maybe something to do with the fact no bears QB in history has had over 561 pass attempts/season = Cutler never over 67% CMP = Trubisky
never over 3,838 Yds = Kramer
never over 29 TDs = Kramer
That being said my stat line for CW
562 Att 68% Cmp 4,321 Yds 30 TDs 10 INTs 😅 🤞🐻⬇️
But you're comparing it to the past of poverty? He's a Lambo... Why compare him to a Hyundai?
4250 yards, 30 touchdowns, and I believe his most valuable asset will be reflected in the interception total - 9. Don’t discount his rushing abilities, they’re woefully ignored.
I think this is very realistic
Even in college he doesn't want to rush, he is very good at deciphering defenses to not have to run.
I can see him doing when needed though
That’s what I was going to say
Between baker and cj strouds rookie years
Based on _what?_ College highlights? Based on those he's not even the best prospect in recent memory. Here, take a look at th-cam.com/video/5JO1PsupF_U/w-d-xo.html. The other QB only has two total throws where slightly better ball placement _may_ have meant the receiver wouldn't get tackled right away. How many badly placed throws does Caleb have *in his highlights* over the same amount of his college career?
Over _TEN!_ The other QB is a better rusher & _FAR_ more accurate passer yet was never touted as being generational despite proving they can do all the other things Caleb can like throw on the run, 50+ air yards & at weird arm angles.
His greatness is literally a case of thinking out loud he's great, then reacting as if someone heard it from somewhere outside one's own head. He's about a half-tier weaker in every other aspect of the game than this other QB & way worse in accuracy.
& I've got more for you Bears fans. Remember that 5-game streak of improved offense where you almost swept the Bears? Remember how the plays used in it were identical to that 3-week streak in '22 where the Bears led the entire NFL in offense with Mooney & Claypool as the 2 best receivers?
This 5-game streak came on the heels of acquiring Sweat & the new DC. So Eberflus, who boasts about meddling in the offense was busy.
So it was _Getsy_ who called all those 8 great offensive games that were all better than all of the 22 Eberflus ones that Fields started.
Which proves they could win with Fields No Problem. But here's the thing: if those plays were Getsy's, this also means that Eberflus was not only the architect of that insipid "hand the ball off X3, toss a screen or slant, repeat" offense they started '22 with, he's also the fool who _cancelled_ the plays that the offense worked with. Which leaves us with 2 choices.
Either he's a micro-manager who would rather lose using His Systems or he intentionally sabotaged Fields because he wanted to be able to claim to whatever small social circle who might care that He Coached Caleb. But the thing is, Caleb is at best Fields Lite! He & Poles never looked at this footage or like most coaches & GMs who just want "their picks" in at key positions don't care! They traded the more talented QB away for less than they would have got for the less talented one!!!!
_HAAA-ha-HA-HAaaaa... enjoy your 4th or 6th-rounder.
Adam not sure if you watched it but Parkins and Spiegel had Will Hewlett on who was Brocks, Anthony Richardsons and now Calebs qb coach. Well worth a watch.
Thank you! It's on the "to do"
Took a weekend with the girls and gonna get back into it soon

We aint duckin shit this year! Great video as always my guy! Caleb is gonna throw for 4k+🐻👇
Adam Mason
You know already I do not like Williams. However, I do see him throwing for 3800-4300 yards. Breaking all of the Bears QB rookie records. All because of Odunze. That's even the INTs he going to throw. All because he is going to make rookies mistakes. The second year would be his "shook up the world" year. I am not sure of the playoffs as of this moment. If he and Odunze make greatness appear. Yeah, the Bears got their QB of the decade.
Aye' Wassup Adam 👍🏾👍🏾 l think the High expectations is there He's very Confident and he's high Calibur I don't see him hitting a What they call it a rookie wall to me it's sounds like he's well prepared but truth is stranger than fiction" Don't hold him back unleash him and let him loose, l will say We as 🐻's Fan's can only expect the unexpected So Caleb is not ducking and, We as 🐻 's Fan's are not ducking as well, He knows what's ecstate and We know what's ecstate, Which i don't think to much on his plate, Straight like that💯

Adam Statson in da buildin!
In 2014, Jay Cutler averaged 254 passing yards per game and scored 30 touchdowns in 15 games.
4,000 yards in 2024 over 17 games is 235 yards per game.
That would be a great rookie season. I don’t think a few rookie mistakes throughout the year should keep Caleb from reaching 4,000 passing yards with our roster, if he is that dude. We will see how the coaches call the games.
Justin Fields averaged 247 total yards per game last season.
Good luck.
yeah 235 is something that should be very achievable with these weapons. Honestly would be fine with 4000 26 td 8 int as a rookie
@@obvioustrollthatbaitedyou5036 That would be a great season.
Adam, are you old enough to remember Erik Kramer’s 1995 Bears Season?!
Still the record holder for passing tds and passing yards for a season.
There is a reason why we are closing in on 30 years of those 2 records still not being broken.
It’s difficult to play QB in Chicago. Especially for someone that is a warm weather guy.
Jay Cutler, who was more talented than Kramer, Could not even get Kramer’s ‘95 numbers.
Kramer basically had a
3 touchdown to 1 interception ratio that whole year.
I was a fan, but not a fan fan yet. So, no, I don't remember the 95' season, just checking out highlights and looking stuff up on it. My first teams I really remember were right at the end of the 90's and turn of 2000's
I'm going with 4709 yds, 35 TD's, 9 Int's, 65% completion.
FanDuel has Caleb set at 3400.5 yards, exactly 200 yards a game over a 17 game season. Are they projecting some injury concern? Or a major struggle?
Because that would be JF numbers, but with a stacked offense.
Why The literal F... F***... Can't you use online betting apps when you live in Nevada?!?!?
This is the worst news I've heard all day. I'd put my mortgage on that 😡🤬😡
I say about 4,300 passing yards for Caleb. 1,100 yards for Rome. Dj has 1,050. And Keenan has 1,250. Cole has 600 or more. And wherever from there. Solid prediction?
I dont think Allen plays all 17 games, think he misses 2-3 games, dj may miss 2, and Odunze misses 1. With that in mind, im thinking closer to 4100 yards.
3500 28-14 9 wins.. which is a ROTY numbers. I'd be shocked if it's more & appalled if it's less.
You'll be shocked if Caleb averages more than 206 yards per game?
Andrew Luck had 4374 with Reggie Wayne, rookie TY, Dwayne Allen and Donnie Avery.
Caleb having 3750+ if he’s healthy should be an expectation

@@Beardownsports I just want wins. Give me 10+, beat the packers and get a playoff win because I think with the haul, that would have happened this year
Love the vids as always, lots of fun. Gonna pick on you just a bit. UPDATE YOUR CALEB GRAPHIC. He wears 18 bro, not 13.
That's harder to do than you realize. Lol Bear Down
@@Beardownsports I would die laughing if I saw a really shaky, mouse-drawn fill-in of that 3 to an 8. C’mon man, next video? Please???
@@CanadianChiGuy23 that's actually harder to do than what you're asking, but I'm doing it for you
Are the current 2 trade value charts outdated?
No, Rich Hill isn't

Lets go Bears!!!
🐻⬇️
4,200 yards 34 TDs and 12 ints (just guessing)
View to like ratio just shows us how little we actually care about what we like as a society.
Why wouldn’t I!!! 🐻⬇️. F. G. B.
anything short of winning the Super Bowl next February would be a huge disappointment.
Only KC can reasonably say that. Walk before you run
@@severallemmings what about all of these Bears fan who seem to believe that Caleb Williams > Patrick Mahomes?, because if this isn't actually the case, then Poles should have simply kept Justin Fields.
@@severallemmingsRyan Poles still needs to sign former Dolphins C/G Connor Williams & also re-sign TE Marcedes Lewis. I am not worried about the defensive line, unlike some Bears fans.
Atta boy!!!
@@johnbrennan4449i would love for Mercedes Lewis to come back!! I was super pumped when he caught that TD last year
31 tds 10 12 int
It was Mahomes 2nd season.
You can't consider Mahomes 1st season as a part of a game. He played his entire "2nd" season. Do you not think he would have killed it if he were allowed to play?
@@Beardownsports just for records sake. But i do believe he would've shined year one.
Pat does not count bro. Stop moving the goalposts
Quit acting like Pat doesn't count...
Pat didn't walk into a situation this good and it's who he's compared to.
Quit shying away from us potentially having a generational QB. That's what he's referred to as.
4277
I'm saying 3200 yds have to remember hes still a rookie with great weapons but still a huge learning curve.
Generational
Blue sky floating dreams! Totally unrealistic :) Not only beating the record - shaming the record set by Luck and OC Bruce Arians :) Break the Bears record? That's within reach.
Caleb's gonna fumble - and he will throw some ugly interceptions just to see what will work in the NFL. Forget about an NFL record breaking season. That doesn't matter. Let him learn from his mistakes.
The 40 year anniversary season he will show the world his generational talent. Let him make his mistakes in his rookie season. He got weapons. But the OL is not even a top 15 ´in the league. Still a weak link.
Posible our superstar, DJ Moore will raise some concerns not being targeted enough. WR's got big egos. They're always open if you ask them. Not sure he's that excited getting both Keenan and Odunze in the WR room. Not sure he likes to share the attension he got the first season in navy blue and orange. Not sure Keenan was happy about getting Odunze.
I'm just a crazy talking dane. I could be wrong. It has happened lately 🤣
Give it time
He'll grow on you
And
There's still time to improve the line
@@Beardownsports I'm sold on Caleb. Just thinks it's unrealistic going for the rookie record set by Luck and OC Arians. The record is not important. It's setting him up for failure imo.. Playing hero ball rookie season is not the way. Then we can have the Fields vs Caleb all over again :)
I'm worried for the WR room, though. Love DJ Moore. Don't wanna lose him. Ease Odunze in. Let Dj and Keenan get their targets. Keep'em happy. Let the superstars shine and the rookies be rookies.
@@Beardownsports Btw. The 2008 Cardinals with Fitzgerald, Boldin and Breaston was the last team with a trio going over 1000 yards. Breaston by only 5 yards. Todd Haley was the OC. Big Ben had some of his best passing seasons under Haley..
Give your audiense some stats from Waldron in Seattle. What can we expect? Is it realistic being first doing what Cardinals did in 2008? Or would it be setting our new rookie QB up for failure expecting such kinda numbers or even nearby the first season working together?
@@mcb3843 easy peasey
