@@LudietHistoria You should play it for a video, it could be a great title, IMO hardest start in the game. If you wanted to make it even harder you could make your own "achievement" 'Slesvig's Holsteins' by trying to get trading in livestock, as S.H. -> Holstien's are the main breed of Cattle used by the global dairy industry in over 150 different countries, which could be an awesome, and difficult and interesting achivement imo. Also lots of room for Cow puns.

Migrate next to Kamchadal. Rival. War to show superiority, take points. Migrate next to the others; do the same thing. keep doing this as many times as you like, stability is no issue so trucebreak all you like to get it off. Jump into Exploration Ideas, and either migrate to your starting province or colonize it; you need it for direct pacific access (All of the Kamchatka provinces have their ports on the wrong side, which messes up your colonial range. Attack your neighbors again, this time to vassalize / conquer, and get to exploring. Colonize Alaska, then colony-hop your way down the west coast of America to Mexico. Meet the Aztecs, and make nahuatl a syncretic religion with your starting Tengriism. Feel free to colonize central America and have a good laugh at the dudes standing in Panama wearing fur parkas.
You'll basically have Mexico under your thumb a few years before the Iberians show up. You might even be able to get toe the Caribbean around the same time they do depending on their RNG
don't bother with Asia; It's too much trouble for too little reward. Unless you decide to become a weird seafaring horde or something, I guess?

I strongly disagree on the Navajo one. I played as Navajo in one of my games and it is very easy to reform decades before the Europeans make landfall. The forced no-cb isn't an issue I have found and overall, not that hard

I would say Fadl is also really bad being a one province minor with 3 dev desert province and as a vassal of the Mameluks surrounded only by the Mameluks and a wasteland with generic ideas.
Optimized Fadl game plan: sit around until the Mameluks decide to integrate you.
Every other option is worse.

Mzab.. oh boi, I started a run as them and (after many failed attempts and lots of swearing) managed to fully annex and reform Morocco (Tunis got the Otto alliance sadly)
Whilst I was doing this Castille got France as a junior partner and Porto got GB as a junior partner so freaking RIP my attempt at unlikely candidate lol

For the Najvo there could be a way out of a terrible start and that is try and deliberately give away one of your provinces so that you can become a migratory tribe allowing you to migrate to a better location and also make your starting leader a general with a chance that he will die early meaning you get the chance of getting a better leader to replace him
It hurts just hearing some of those starts. Made my Grenada experience seem so much better by comparison.

Mzab is actually a lowkey good starting nation. You have the imamate so you get free claims on all your neighbors and since you are threatened by all the big Berber nations you can pretty easily get an Iberian or Mamluk alliance and steamroll the region.

It legit took me 60+ hrs of failing and reloads to do my chukchi run. It was well into the 1500s before I had finished off ming’s hat. That was my first play through ever

Byzantium Stronk is a great mod for 1.30.Byzantium won the Battle of Manzikert and this is an alternate timeline where in 1444 Byzantium has all the Ottoman territory, and cores on small nations nearby that broke from you, and has the same ideas but are now way more overpowered. You can bring back worship of the Greek-Roman Gods and get the same assimilation trait that only the Mughal Empire has in the base game. You can either restore Rome by conquering all of Italy or conquer east and restore the Empire of Alexander the Great. You also get a lot of events that give you army tradition and prestige by conquer former territories of the Roman Empire.
Actually once in my japan game i saw ai chukchi in the south (and they defeated all three other tribes)

There are some curious choices on that list. Burundi might be small but it is actually entirely possible to conquer all of Lake Victoria area and then expand into Congo and Zimbabwe which is really not that tough if you're an experienced player and can play your alliances properly. Dahomey likewise is not a difficult start if you can get one good ally and expand into your neighbours. I did "Where the heart is" a while ago and I was quite surprised how easy the achievement was.
That dahomei Achievement took way to much time to do, it's a really bad nation

Actually played a Siberian nation and just ran to Alaska and moved my capital. Not like a world conquest or anything but way more playable then the others on the list heh
I disagree with the Chukchi pick, you can spam superiority cb and use show strength for 300 free mana and farm mana by migrating. This way you can dev those 3 provinces up if you want and force institutions. It's a way better start than many other ones on this list. No immediate threat at all

I played mzab, actually quite easy, you play Tlemcen/Tunis/Morocco against each other then ally Spain/Portugal
Chukchi isn't that hard, no big hostile neighbors and you're close to the new world - it's no Portugal but definitely viable for a colonization run. I used it to grab the blood for the sky god achievement.
I expected to see Rostov. Chukchi at least are independent and have access to the sea

You can make a claim to attack the kongo region from the great lakes region. You still need to vasalize, but its not too bad.

I remember how fun it was playing Chavchuveny (neighboring Siberian OPM) and stealing colonialism from Europe and spawning gold on my capital as the lone Grassland province in the area. It was actually a fun challenge, as I culture converted to Jurchen and formed Manchu.

You are quite mistaken, Ludi.
Khodynt is harder than Chukchi because they do not have starting fleet, but all 4 Siberian tribe are easy to play for an above average player. No RNG (except the starting ruler), nobody can kill you, at least 2 path of expansions. Kamchadals has 3. I do not want to insult your intelligence by spelling out how to play them, but if you try it yourself, you will quickly figure it out. Hint: Feudalism is very easy to get before you have to tech up to MilTech4.
I do not think any of them deserve an honourable mention. Your number #10 is harder to play than any of them. They are only slightly harder than Ryukyu provided you are not going for 3 mountains.
Agreed, they are all quite on the same level. Also Ryukyu a lot of people say is hard, but I personally found it such an easy nation to work with xD

Avaria's not spectacular, but it's not really one of the worst. The Golden Horde and usually Circassia or Shirvan will support your independence. Get your claims on Gazikumukh, pop a free company merc squad, and start the seiges. Gazi will be allied either with Hisn Kayfa or one of the Caspian sea Persian minors; great Horde will get access and seige those while you conquer your former overlord. You are now a THREE province minor!
Golden horde will be annoyed that they got no land AND they want your land, so that alliance will break quickly. You can either hold out for the five years' truce and hope that Muscovy or Kazan wrecks them, so you can take some chunks of Great horde turf for yourself, or you can become a tributary and expand deeper into the Caucasus / North Persia. Taking Great horde land gives you an avenue for faster expansion into even more horde territory, but there's a trick; all the stuff you take from GH will be Astrakhan cores and my god those rebels are madmen. On hte other hand expanding southeast is a slog, and going west into Circassia is really not anything but map-painting.
Or, you could be a madman, take out Gazikumukh, then no CB Wallachia, and try to catapult that into a conquest of Hungary for the achievement!
Whatever you do, at least you have one of the coolest flags in the game.
Chukchi is also the easiest nation in the game to get the "Blood for the Sky God" achievement with. Granted, "easiest" because it has like, one less time it has to migrate than the other siberian minors do, but still.

With a bit of luck you can grow and reform andalusia. Your government is extremly strong (theocratic monarchy).
Restart untilt touggourt allies only djerid or Fezzan.
build to units, use the government ability to get free claims, stack wipe them before they can reach their ally. Easy three free provinces. Then ally Tunis/Morrocco ( Morocco probably better) and kill Tlemcen with them. Now you have trippled your provinces, own a coastline province (and if you didnt cheat out your ally, a decent ally to go). Potentially you can annex Granada before the Iberians do.
From then on you are good to go.
Pretty sure you will have to update this list once the next expac lands and we have all those isolated Polynesian tags to try out. Most of them look like all they have to look forward to is waiting for Japan or a European Colonizer to show up and wipe you out.
