    This has been a concept that I've struggled with all of my life. I have a final in my criminal justice class that has to do with determining the different types of variables, and other statistical data, and after this video I was able to finally understand and it all just clicked!     Independent = what varies in the experiment
    Dependent = the effect the independent variable has

    Nah, I'm in 5th Grade AAP, and I literally DID NOT understand this-- NOT A BIT. When I watched this I thought it would just be the person speaking gibberish. But nah, this man writing perfectly with a MOUSE, MIGHT I ADD, and his voice is so soothing and clear.

    Ah, thank you so much for this, my teacher was VERY lazy to give us an example. They didn't even bother to do an online class. They just give out lots of homeworks without explaining or showing examples. But this video helped me a lot so thank you

    agree so much with other comments. 2nd year psyche student who you just landed a concept for that i had not got till now. I have to say though when we talk about a dependent variable being the thing " measured" can still be confusing as you are measuring amount of IV ( sunlight in this case ) as well as the DV... anyways food for thought!
