MLB The Show 23 How to add created Players to your franchise

I appreciate you taking the time to do this, but the title is a little misleading. You're not adding a player to a franchise, you're loading a custom roster for creating a franchise. In NBA 2K basketball, you can actually add a created player to an already-existing franchise. But I guess there is just no way to do that in The Show, from the looks of it.
Again though, thank you for taking the time with this. And by the way, just as an FYI regarding saving your franchise, whenever you go to save it, and that "need to be saved" checkbox next to "Franchise" is empty, it means your latest changes to the franchise have already been saved. But if it has an "X" in the checkbox, it means your latest changes have no been saved.

Every time I create a player, I end up losing him and have to start over again unless I put him on a team and start franchise mode. Is there a way to create players and be able to save them without having to put them on a team and start franchise mode? Is there a place they can be saved as to not have to waste time creating them again?

As long as you make sure you save roster after you create your player than they should definitely still be there as long as you load that saved roster
