I appreciate how your designs are always practical and never excessive. The touches of blue in your design have caught my eye, especially the blue tile on the kitchen floor and the blue dining chairs. Another impressive community project! ❤

I think this restaurant would work well with Carl's mod, which allows you to run a bar inside a restaurant. It really does make running a restaurant so much more enjoyable. Even if you don't want to run a restaurant, it makes dining out quicker and more bug-free!

Amazing and very helpful video! I've started to build my own community lots from scratch even if I really like a creation made by someone from the community. Usualy buildings are not play teasted so I use references and translate the concept to the gameplay friendly lot.
Not to forget: If you want your restaurant to run smoothly and have more fun options to customise it, get Carl's Dine Out Reloaded mod. It's everything that pack should have been, and still improving! 😉

I have experienced even if I assign a sink as bathroom, my sim still washes up the dishes in there even when the kitchen sink is closer and it is assigned "Kitchen". Very frustrating because my house is huge and it takes her forever to walk to the bathroom sink. lol Anyways, Thank you so much for your tips and this fantastic creation! Love it!

I'm playing a game where my sim buys a restaurant, gets it to 5 stars and then sells it and I've been running into some of the issues you mention, *especially* the standing and eating thing--or rather sims picking up their food and walking to a different location to eat it. SO annoying! I'm going to try removing the items from the table to see if that helps. Thanks!
Omg, yes, I was so frustrated with them standing and eating - Dine Out *could* be such an enjoyable pack, I hope it helps (Also, I think getting rid of any other distractions like the bar, speakers or anything like that helps too) Good luck!
Lovely bistro and story! One thing TS4 really got down, was the expressions of the Sims. I really became more engaged with the gameplay due to that. Your editing was great to show this off! The proposal scene must have been modded? If we're getting some sort of romance related pack, new ways to propose would be awesome. Yeah, I get so frustrated by that table décor glitch. That small candle in the globe (Little Light) and smallest flower vase (Table Lilies) from DO are the only ones that don't (usually) seem to cause problems. I never thought of elevating them from a lower floor, but that doesn't always seem to work, eh? This does explain why a restaurant I DLed from the Gallery worked pretty well, but they stood up to eat. "This is yummy, but I can't eat it with this huge Base Game Oil Lantern on the table!" Unrelated, but FYI, Zerbu's mod to change the venues that are locked still works well. This restaurant was on the Chalet Gardens lot, which I always want to make one. It did have a bar, which the mixologist eventually found after standing in the front for a couple hours. The bar didn't seem to interfere with anything on that lot. When DO first came out, I swear if there was a musical instrument, a musician would auto spawn, too, but maybe I am remembering wrong. I was able to hire a musician. After the meal was finished and we paid the bill, the musician was still playing, and they were actually good, so I was hanging out and listening. My companion kept going up and kicking the musician off the piano so they could play with two fingers, aargh! The booths have always been super finicky and buggy. I do hope they address the issues with this pack! Right now I took a break from playing because I invited my good friend to a Bar. They kept sitting at a different table and conversing with everyone but me, then right when I Asked To Hang Out, they left. I guess I get the hint....

See, I tried the small candle and the small vase and the little menu card and still had problems - it's okay with 1 diner, but more than 1 and someone is randomly standing up to eat. Overall it worked better with nothing on the table and I was getting irritated with the bugs, it shouldn't be so hard to build a playable restaurant - but yes, I really hope they prioritize this pack, I do enjoy managing a restaurant in game play.
@@Schnuck01 Ah, my Mint NSB Sim is about ready to make the big leap, so maybe I'll try that mod, thanks! I, too, like to occasionally take on the challenge of managing a restaurant and getting it high rated. It's been awhile since I built one. I mainly have used the those objects on dining tables in residential lots come to think of it, except for the menus of course. I can only put one of the smallest slotted objects in the very middle of small tables, even if it shows green with Move Objects off. With most décor they will choose another seat like a couch or outdoor table when eating. At least they seem to have fixed the bug I had where my uncontrolled Sim wouldn't eat or drink when dining out. It made for a very strange outing. ☺

I hope they fix the bugs in DineOut because I create so many restaurants. My last one was multi-level and contained platforms so it was buggy.
