Vince, thanks for sharing. I LOVE the idea of using your (very expensive) power tool batteries for things other than “just” powering tools (nothing is ever enough for us gear heads, huh?!). I have an Ego mower/trimmer/leaf blower, and three of their batteries (including the 7.5 Ah monster) and I use their 150W inverter to charge my phone/tablet/laptop when I’m off the grid. I work from home, and sometimes travel in my RV during the work week, so I need a way to power a few things while not connected to shore power. I have plans to add solar panels/big battery bank/inverter to my RV, but that’s a ways off in the future (probably 2-3 years). I plan on getting the Topoff soon, so I can have redundancy when it comes to powering my devices critical to my work when off grid. I think it would make a ton of sense for Milwaukee to develop a device similar to the Ego Nexus Power Station. Give us a pure sine wave inverter (at least 1,000 Watt peak) with four battery ports, two or three 120V outlets, a few USB ports, and here’s the real feature: a built-in solar charge controller that would allow us to plug in a portable solar panel (100-200W) to give us the means to charge our batteries while completely off the grid. Cherry on top: the device will integrate into your packout stack. I really hope that something like this is on Milwaukee’s radar!

They now have a m18 power supply, 4 battery ports, 2 outlets, 3600w/1800w, but needs all 4 batteries to run, no solar, and not integrated with packout. If they made it so you could run on one or two batteries while swapping the rest, that would be fine. Packout integration really doesn’t seem like it would be that difficult when you’re looking at this current design…they easily could’ve done exactly what you said; make a modified rolling box or even the XL. Could’ve had room to store extra batteries with that sort of design. Guessing they’re saving that for a fuel version/ second gen, and I’m no electrician but solar connectivity seems like it wouldn’t have been that hard either, especially if we’re providing our own equipment. They could make solar panels built into a packout power supply similar to the packout lights (they flip/fold out and rotate from the sides. That would be the ultimate electric power supply lol

I wonder if that would run a Garage Door Opener? I install Garage Doors and sometimes don’t have electricity to test the motor. That would save a return trip.
Milwaukee make same sweet stuff. The top off will probably catch flack because it can’t run your house during a power outage, but I’ll for sure be buying on for job site laptop mobility.
In theory the mini fridge should have worked as it only uses 114 watts, and the power supply is rated at 175 watts. It must be able to sense large inductive loads which are all the tools with motors in them, and will not run due to the type of load that is connected.
Reason mini fridge won’t wk is bc the startup power req to start the compressor (inrush) can easily be 3 times or more of the 114watts it’s says it draws. It’s only a fraction of a second but it’s enough to overload the inverter.
This is cool. Basically a mini inverter. I've got a 200ah battery in my truck with an 800w pure sine wave inverter- that thing will run a freezer in our truck for a week. Course the battery weighs about 110 pounds, but still.

Guess I need to try my 120 watt Peavey 6505+ guitar head and see if it will work! lol.
Did it work??? I have a PRS MT15 that I really need to take ice fishing.
@@ryanwilson5936 Plugged it in a few minutes ago. Played fine. You may wanna throw a noise gate in there, as I had some when I wasn't playing. My buddy bought a MT15 a couple months ago. Those things scream for 15 watts. lol.

That’s just awesome man lol. Yeah, I have one of the first run MT15’s with the 6l6 power section and it’s a beast for sure.
I wonder how going through a Furman first would have helped noise.
@@ryanwilson5936 The Furman should help. The Peavey and my pedals are running thru one that's plugged into the wall. I don't have any noise that way, and I don't have a noise gate either. But the plug for the Furman is buried behind metal racks, and I was too lazy to move the racks! You should post a video of you jamming out on the ice. That'd be sweet.
Best review of the Top Off ever!
My man Vince risking his laptop for us. Also he's like NO EFFFSSS GIVIN PLUGGING A DEWALT CABLE INTO MILWAUKEE TOOL! Haha love it!!!
Would it power an angle grinder? Was hoping it would replace the need to get a cordless grinder and just bring my corded one to a job site and also keep it in my truck as a laptop charger
I wonder if that would run a Garage Door Opener? I install Garage Doors and sometimes don’t have electricity to test the motor. That would save a return trip.
I don’t have any M 18 batteries but being able to do something like that, makes me think about buying an M 18 and the top off.
It could but garage door opener could pull up to 15 amps on start up
@@robthetech5595 in that case, probably best to just get the Dewalt power station. I’m sure that thing will do it.
Milwaukee make same sweet stuff. The top off will probably catch flack because it can’t run your house during a power outage, but I’ll for sure be buying on for job site laptop mobility.
” Topping off”the union guys are going have jokes for days
In theory the mini fridge should have worked as it only uses 114 watts, and the power supply is rated at 175 watts. It must be able to sense large inductive loads which are all the tools with motors in them, and will not run due to the type of load that is connected.
Reason mini fridge won’t wk is bc the startup power req to start the compressor (inrush) can easily be 3 times or more of the 114watts it’s says it draws. It’s only a fraction of a second but it’s enough to overload the inverter.
Will that top off fit Dewalt flexvolt batteries
Happy Thursday, VCG and the Gang! Keep up the great job 👍😍
Will it run a CPAP? If so how many hours will it stay running?
This is my first video from you I ever watched. You are too funny man. Earned yourself a sub
This is cool. Basically a mini inverter. I've got a 200ah battery in my truck with an 800w pure sine wave inverter- that thing will run a freezer in our truck for a week. Course the battery weighs about 110 pounds, but still.
Yes please do a long term review of the biscuit jointer.
I have one of those
Run the angle grinder just fine
And hummer drill
Not problem
Was wondering if this would be good for work place crockpot
Got milwaukee wire cutter today for 19.99 they are great cutter
International tool has Milwaukee brushless impact for $49.88
Don’t buy nothing from international tool. They aren’t honest.
I’m out of plutonium and I need to generate 1.21 jigowatts of electricity to power the flux capacitor in my time machine that I made from a Delorean to get back to the year 1985. Could I use this machine for that? Thanks for any input😎
You should paint the back scratcher in red & also write cordless on it
I wonder if it could power up a heated blanket when going camping
Portable heater for camping 🏕?
lol The fan voice at the end is definitely a classic
live milwaukee tools in turn love this channel thanks for the video
Thanks vince for taking the time out of your day for us
I just wished they made one big enough to power corded tools while staying on the the M18 line
Love the review but tell Milwaukee it's time for the generator systems already like let's go ! Merry Christmas
Liked 5 times for the Hall & Oates reference while I'm listening to them.
I have 2 of these in my possession, and they both read 93-100 volts. I've tried with 4 different fully charged batteries. Not sure if this is normal.
Definitely getting one of these bad boys for camping and shop stuff.
Got it!..love it outside for our phones
They did release a new Tower light, but that ain't it LOL! - Love You Guys! Happy Holidays!
Gotta have that tool. To know you can plug in a box fan and charge your stuff during a blackout is enough for me. Wonder if the tv would work with it.
Vince, would love to see a long term review on that DEWALT biscuit joiner 👍👍😎
Will it work for a garage door opener?
9:32 THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS WATCHING THIS I WAS HOPING AND PRAYING YOU WOULD TRY A SKIL WORM DRIVE!!!!!!!! the entire reason i want this is to use my skilsaw in the woods. subbed

I bought two of them so far to use on job sites, ( I’m a fire sprinkler fitter) and my intentions for it we’re charging batteries and runing lights off of it and a few odds and ends here and there, glad I watched this review thanks guys!
did you hear about the Fire Protection Engineer who embezzled millions and fled to Tehran? His plumber accomplice was not as fortunate,
I bought one yesterday. Pretty cool.
Good for camping
