She is all those and MORE!!! I hadn't seen this gem of an appearance and the sound effects were even more amazing than she normally does! She was bringin' it! (all that talent encased in such a sweet little package!) I will go on record and say she does the best pterodactyl impressions of anyone. She is in a class all her own, phenomenal❤!
***** lol alright man. I don't have to convince you, and I'm not alone in thinking Bamford is a sharp comedian. She's very well respected by the alt-comedy world, especially by other comedians. If you don't think she's funny, fine. But if you think it's about impersonations and funny sounds; you're not getting the jokes.
maria bamford is a genius. shes the funniest most original comic working today and thats an objective fact. I'm right about it because I'm a comic and everyone else must agree with me.
Such a big fan. I travel for work and can't tell you how many strange looks I've gotten over the years, staring out at the clouds, trying and failing to hold in the laughter. So grateful to be alive now, not at a time before Maria.
I can relate, my next door neighbor probably thinks I'm plump crazy laughing in the middle of the night. She is such a blessing, so phenomenal-love her!
She's hands down my favorite female comic, the only woman with an act that I consider captivating, original, honest, earnest and sincere. I love her so much, she's awesome.
I don't think so. She's incredibly humble. And besides, if you're an artist thinking about being better than another artist, you've lost sight of the art.
I just love Maria Bamford. I first saw her on a Just for Laughs DVD from 2003 and still believe she is the funniest comedian I have ever seen. She's genius!
+Neil Highley ... I was a lifelong fan of Robin's too.. too soon? Don't leave me hanging on this comment said David Carradine, how many jokes was that two?
Norman Singh ..LOL.. Most of us knew Robin was crazy since he poached Earth in his Orkan egg around 1978 but we didn't think he would volunteer for the Dead Comics Society
OMG I heard a clip of her once on a comedy radio since been searching for more of her acts....I can't get enough of this girls wild imagination. and jokes.. I die every time I listen to her ....
What can we produce for this woman to do? Her own Simpsons style show with her doing the voices?? Her own half hour sketch show? A louis CK type reality show thing? An hour long Carol Burnett variety? A big Broadway review a la Lily Tomlin? We need to get this brilliant woman her own show, and extend the cult. She is just too damn good. She's the best. I sit here and watch her TH-cam videos and am just blown away.
I don’t actually know if Maria reads these but it would be so awesome if so. I suffer from bi polar and sever intrusive thoughts and also have body dismorphic disorder. I just wanted to say hat it’s so refreshing to have someone who talks about ocd and mental illness making it they’re own! I stilll am struggling but every time I’m blue I just say if Maria can do it so can I, I’m not a comic or anything but just getting out of my house has been a struggle for four years. Now I’m not naive and I know I am definitely not the only person suffering on this planet. I guess.. if she does read these I would love insight after all she is my hero and I respect her emensly. So Maria, if you do read this if you have any advice that would be great if not, then this is just a stupid post. Oh well
*QUESTION #2:* If Maria's boyfriend is in a *folk band* but he only smokes pot every *other* day, what percentage of the rent will he be able to contribute? *HAH.*
Zany woman and a real treat to see a stand up act with an original approach to comedy that doesn't involve genitalia jokes or being obnoxious. The use of voices and sound effects are reminiscent of Robin Williams.
I have loved Maria Bamford ever since I saw the “Comedians of Comedy” documentary years and years ago- check it out if you’ve never seen it. I think she’s the most underrated comedian, and wish her the best career so I can see her more often.
I absolutely LOVE this woman. I would love her to go to this years Marine Corps Birthday Ball with me. Since it's apparently the "popular craze" in the media for famous women to attend the ball with a male marine.....
Arguably the best comedienne today. I wonder why she doesn't use the "executive woman" voice in her daily life, though her speaking voice is certainly much more comedic.
Two of those voices Iliza shlesingerare doing now too. I'm assuming Bamford came up with those voices in her lab, cause it's the rawest and unpolished form out there of it. They both are great tho imo.
She's so smart. "Anybody here aging? No?" is a surrealist satire of the sort of thing a standup comic would say.
Brazilian Atlantis, and doubly so as they’re in Hollywood.
This reminds me of what Patton Oswald said about her; “a martian telling racist jokes about humans”.
She is deep, then does her silly voices. She will be in the cartoon world as long as she wants. I can only do a Droopy impression, so sad.
Brilliant. Charming. Compassionate. And easily one of the most talented comedians on the face of this planet. We are so lucky to have her!
YES ‼️
She is all those and MORE!!! I hadn't seen this gem of an appearance and the sound effects were even more amazing than she normally does! She was bringin' it! (all that talent encased in such a sweet little package!) I will go on record and say she does the best pterodactyl impressions of anyone. She is in a class all her own, phenomenal❤!
Every time I see clips of her performing I become more and more certain that the two of us would be the best of friends. I love her.
Agreed, she is the best comedian out there!
Fuck she's smart. Way faster than the crowd can handle. Loved it, I think she might just be one of the smarter comediennes around.
Agreed!
Colin Bell You're a bitch, homie.
***** I hate to say it, but if that's what you thought the jokes were, then they flew over your head.
***** Lol you want me to explain a stand up comedian's jokes to you?
***** lol alright man. I don't have to convince you, and I'm not alone in thinking Bamford is a sharp comedian. She's very well respected by the alt-comedy world, especially by other comedians. Well Ok. But just this one time
Not everyone is into her humor, I am but many don't get how smart comedically she is
"Are we fighting now?" Love her.
Ha ha--that killed me too! "guess we'll have to throw down then!" mmmwhahaw!
Love love LOVE this woman and her original comedy! She was born to do this
I think she's one of the best female comics ever! Very imaginative, and over most peoples heads.
Female comedians love being told they're your favourite FEMALE comedian
TRIGGERED
edward doherty well she's definitely not my favorite male comedian. women are people to you sexist pig.
D Jay T lol, I love it when you guys get triggered. You're so laid back about it.
FLAMENCO68 Don't worry, I knew what you meant
Ten years later and this is still brilliant.
She is such a blessing, so phenomenal-love her!
she makes me so happy
She's hands down my favorite female comic, the only woman with an act that I consider captivating, original, honest, earnest and sincere. I love her so much, she's awesome.
I hope Maria Bamford walked onstage knowing full well she was 400 times funnier than Paul Rodriguez
I agree.
Oh she definitely did.
I will say it again Yes‼️ and she knew ❗
I don't think so. She's incredibly humble. And besides, if you're an artist thinking about being better than another artist, you've lost sight of the art.
I realize I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online ?
I am in awe of Maria's hair in this clip.
Way to not be weird, mate
Hair. Clipped. I get it.
I just love Maria Bamford. I first saw her on a Just for Laughs DVD from 2003 and still believe she is the funniest comedian I have ever seen. She's genius!
I finally found a comedian I can fully relate to
👊
is it the spanish folk songs that got you?)
She was amazing on Colbert. Soon to be a lifelong fan.
+Neil Highley Me too!
+JazzKeyboardist1 Robin Williams sucks. No sympathy. My bad
Terry Hesticles ... Robin was probably trying an Aladdin Genie rope trick but instead he got Popeyes.
"tell me something I dont know playa!" LOL
I love you, Maria Bamford. You are my kind of crazy❤
A masterclass...... I Love you Maria Bamford.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I must atone for the toner!"
Yes, we must prostate ourselves in remorse for the trees 😂
She is FN un-hinged. Love it.
I love this woman. She's so weird
I love this woman!
If I was to get surgery I'd get the part of my brain removed that cares what other people think.
...
LOVE IT!!!
She’s a comedic genius! No doubt one of the funniest comics of our generation!
She's so good at voices, a rare talent!
So fresh. Both grounded and off the wall at the same time. She doesn't remind me of ANYONE!
"I love my country . . . maybe that's because I'm white and rich" LOLOLOL I love comedic honesty about the racism and classism entrenched in America.
Or maybe you wouldn't know satire if it crawled up your leg and bit you on the bottom.
frogsoda ironically, you're the one who missed it
Alex Wiles Did you really repost this person's comment as if it were your own? You obviously have never had an original thought.
my cleaning woman says the same thing
I was laughing so hard at the end when she told the old macdonald joke, OMG! She is just awesome!
Her pterodactyl impression never fails to kill me--always makes me laugh so hard!
I feel like the crowd wasn't nearly as responsive as she deserved...
bandita43 maybe the microphone didn’t pick up as much noise 😆
shitty intro 'oh she's a woman yeah like female person wow' but brilliant performance. Love her.
Probably 99% of the comics on the stage at that time were male, so.... it's almost worth pointing out the obvious. A woman! What a surprise!
Even for the time, that was a horrible intro for a comic. So low energy.
She is so nice. Nice enough to send me an autographed picture.
I'm in-love with her brain and talent, also her voice. In this video, she also looks amazing. She's gorgeous.
I've fallen in love with her just a little bit and I'm only 5 mins in
She's amazing in Arrested Development season 4, and just incredible in general.
omg, so adorable!
OMG I heard a clip of her once on a comedy radio since been searching for more of her acts....I can't get enough of this girls wild imagination. and jokes.. I die every time I listen to her ....
This is my kind of comedy she is slightly off kilter!
The Bammer!
I love u Bamford!!!!
girl... I love you girl. dang you funny. xxxoooxxx.
"anybody here aging?" now that some crowd work! XD
I love her!!! She inspires me!
I love that she just got married a few years ago, that's actually really inspiring
A mad genius of comedy like Norm MacDonald, Mitch Hedberg, and Zach Galafinakis.
I love her so much!
She killed ! Such a great set.
smarter than sarah silverman and not one tenth as obnoxious,
.. and she has the advantage of Silverman in that she is actually funny.
FreedomZealot Silverman is talented too. But less.
FreedomZealot No contest.
I don't know why we'd even compare the two of them. They're colleagues.

*HAH.*
Ms J ~just watched this & that^^ was literally my favourite bit. 👌🏾
I want to see Maria Bamford in a fight with Vanette!
That last joke was a killer! All the other ones were just as amazing, but she was too smart for the audience! Genius!
I love her. She reminds me a little bit of Rita Rudner.
Zany woman and a real treat to see a stand up act with an original approach to comedy that doesn't involve genitalia jokes or being obnoxious. The use of voices and sound effects are reminiscent of Robin Williams.
holy sweet christ, was that intro real?
it was like something the simpsons would've parody'd in the 90s
James Hodson sounds like someone needs a little more FEMME FATALISM in his life!
LoLz Simpsons historical accurate.
i want maria to be my spirit animal.
tell me something I don't know playa
love her in that tim and eric skit about cats, you gotta see it if you havent lol
This is classic Bamford. This sketch will never be topped. Unless it's by Maria.
I have loved Maria Bamford ever since I saw the “Comedians of Comedy” documentary years and years ago- check it out if you’ve never seen it. I think she’s the most underrated comedian, and wish her the best career so I can see her more often.
One of the best working today!
She's awesome.
she is more than a tonic she is awesome!
OMG 3:12-3:14 looks just like Cecily Strong from SNL in "Girlfriends Talk Show' sketches
Love Maria... :)
She's an absolute gem.
The pterodactyl joke always makes me laugh. It's like that dolphin 🐬 censoring in SpongeBob.
She is hilarious. Very brilliant comedian.
She does good voices. She should do more voice acting.
She uncanny good.
I absolutely LOVE this woman. I would love her to go to this years Marine Corps Birthday Ball with me. Since it's apparently the "popular craze" in the media for famous women to attend the ball with a male marine.....
EXTREME MAKEOVER!!!!!!
This is amazing. Welcome to Night Vale, the early years.
Everybody, seriously watch her netflix series, Lady Dynamite! She could tell you you have cancer and make it funny...
Oh. My. God. I'm. Dead. :D :'D
She's fantastic!
I am blessed with the gift of thinking she is hilarious WITHOUT illegal drugs...saves money!!!!!
that Pterodactyl ahahhaha!
With Sheila E as well?! What a treat!
My favorite comic!
She is awesome!!!
Best 90’s crush
Arguably the best comedienne today. I wonder why she doesn't use the "executive woman" voice in her daily life, though her speaking voice is certainly much more comedic.
she is beyond genius...my favorite female comedian...the crowd missed the "compounds interest daily" punch line @ 6:44
llorando se fue...my favorite to sing in the unisex bathroom
im 19, and i wanna marry this woman
I laughed so much I cried.
she did this routine on a 2006 episode of the Now Show (a BBC Radio 4 satirical show) that's when I found out about her.
Thumbs up for Benevolent Armadillo! :3
"She tickles my fancy"
She tickles something else on me. Can't help it, she's cute.
i love the confused jocks in the front row
Her act makes more sense when I'm baked....I love that about her
Maria Bamford 4lyfe
I watch this at least once a month
Dear God, that's gotta be the phoniest intro I've ever seen.
Two of those voices Iliza shlesingerare doing now too. I'm assuming Bamford came up with those voices in her lab, cause it's the rawest and unpolished form out there of it. They both are great tho imo.
0:56 "Fem Fatalism" is a good description of Maria's humor.
thanks for the upload
