**Important Note** We have updated the trigger to include a new retaining screw in the top of the trigger. Loosen the screw so that the disconnect bar can slide into the top of the trigger, then tighten the retaining screw down all the way. This will lock the disconnect bar to the top of the trigger and prevent it from walking forward, not allowing the trigger to reset. We now have video instructions for this step! I have discovered a quick way to install this and without having a spring and pin pop out. Put a 1/16” punch in the right pin hole through the trigger and stop with the punch resting lightly on the bench. Grip the trigger with your left finger and insert the spring and trigger with your thumb nail as you wiggle it in place. (Tip: If you place a piece of masking tape over top of the top of the gun and spring/pin, if it pops, it will stay in gun). Then wiggle the punch around as you look through the left pin hole. When it is aligned, insert pin. After the pin is inserted, push it through flush with trigger and insert bushing washer. The set pin. Done!
This should be in the instructions. Ceased all cussing immediately.
Great products! Installed the Trigger, Mag bumpers, and Halo charging ring today. The Trigger took a solid hour. Everything went step by step like the video. TIP: After the detente and spring went flying for the 3rd tim, I grabbed a pencil with a fresh eraser on it, using the eraser end to push the detente and spring down to maneuver it under the tab.

You wanna talk about "have some patience." I just spent the last three hours looking for that damn spring. The thing took a journey to land behind me. My shop is much cleaner now.

Just got my trigger installed and it's awesome.
One piece of advice to those of you following along and only half paying attention to the video as you complete each step: when installing the pre-travel adjustment screw be sure set it so it's flush with the TOP face of the trigger, not the bottom face. The screw head should be sticking out and not set to take up any pre-travel (see 10:55).
I missed that detail and ended up with a non-functioning pistol because the trigger couldn't reset. Certain I screwed something up I disassembled and installed everything a second time with the same results. Finally figured it out and felt dumb once I got it working. Learn from my mistake!
Mine moved on the first outing and wouldn't reset. As my trigger has to sit against the frame on forward travel I find no need of it but I understand that frames can vary.

Okay I just got my new barrel and I had the trigger and captured recoil spring so I decided today 1/28/23 was the day to install them. I’m very pleased with everything from tandemkross the products are of high quality and shipping is great. The only problem is how easy you made putting the spring and plunger into the new trigger in this video. It took 12 times to finely get it and the pin to work the washer was not easy but nothing compared to that plunger and spring almost lost them three times and my dog now knows some new phrases. Luckily I was home alone or my grandson may have learned how not to fix a problem. Thanks for what you do!!

You make it look sooo easy...what a nightmare for an old man! Thank God I had the spring assembly that goes under the trigger bar in a large clear bag...even with using a new pencil eraser it took me 45 minutes...it just would not stay under the bar ..I finally finished after about 2 frustrating hours...take apart was a snap. I would not attempt this again and I hope all goes well tomorrow at my weekly club pistol shoot!

Great video. I had no problems getting my trigger installed. I did take photos of the mechanisms as I went along so that I had references in case I ran into any issues.The other thing that I did was put a drop of Loctite blue on the retaining screw on the top of the trigger. I figure it can't hurt and would keep that screw from loosening up. I also purchased and installed the hive grip and halo charging ring at the same time. Can't wait to get to the range to try them out. Good job!

Just installed mine, awesome trigger!!! Even better than I was expecting. One tip I could give is when you're installing the trigger spring and plunger, put the whole gun in a plastic freezer bag till you get the trigger pin back in. That'll save you the hassle of trying to find the plunger and spring when they come flying out of the gun on you.

I installed my trigger from TK yesterday and I was able to shoot the pistol today. I like this trigger much more than the factory one. I also installed their carbon fiber barrel and it makes my Victory look really nice.

I watched this video a few times through beforehand and I was overly confident I wouldn't lose the detent. Nope, it went flying and by sheer LUCK I located it on my carpet! Highly recommend anyone attempting this to use a big sandwich bag or some type of clear bag and do that step inside there. Anyway, great trigger.

Good video for installing the TK trigger. I did run into quite a bit of frustration with the hammer locking in the fully cocked position. After several complete disassembly and reassembly exercises I called Tandemkross. Eric was great and explained that some of the SW Victory frames vary a little. What was happening was that my trigger was not moving far enough forward to reset. He suggested filing a small amount ( I filed about 1/16 inch) off of the trigger where it meets the frame. He also said if I screwed up the trigger don't worry as Tandemkross would replace it since they are the ones that suggested filing it. Works great now! Smooth and I don't have any wiggle side to side on the trigger as some have found with their installs. I had heard that a modified spacer is now being shipped so that is probably what I received. Installed the Halo slide handle and ordered the mag extenders. Impressed with the products. Another note now that I think of it: the disconnect bar retaining screw was slightly binding the disconnect bar if screwed down all the way. Backed off just enough to allow the trigger to move freely forward from the spring pressure but where the bar is still held in place.

That trigger is a beautiful thing. The SW22 makes you a good shooter to start with...your trigger takes it to the next level. The Halo charging handle was a huge improvement for the gun as well. These upgrades made this my favorite 22 plinking gun by far. I know I'll sound like an ad-man..but for the price these are a no-brainer if you own a SW22. (Thanks to 22plinkster for steering me your direction.)

Just got mine installed and can't wait to take it to the range! Getting the hammer pin out is easier if you put a small screwdriver between the front of the retaining spring and the frame. Twist slightly while pushing the hammer pin out. Then the retention spring will drop right out.

Good video Jake, thanks... Just installed the trigger and will take it out the next couple of days and try it... One small item, the washer that goes against the trigger was pretty tight to get in... Mine had a radius on one side which I put against the trigger... Seemed to fit in the radius of the trigger... I didn't check it before but I'm getting approx. two and a quarter pounds pull... Can't wait to try it out with real ammo instead of the snap caps... Thanks again for the instructive video...

I just installed the TANDEMKROSS Victory Trigger (Black) in my new, and free, S&W Victory (S&W customer service is phenomenal, if a bit slow . They replaced an old S&W22A (it had a broken rivet like pin just under the rear sight that attached a flat steel spring to the aluminum upper and held the upper to the lower at the rear) with a new Victory w/threaded barrel. Anyway, the curved trigger was really harsh on my trigger finger and needed to be replaced. After installing the TK trigger and adjusting it, I am extremely happy. It now has about 0.5 mm of take-up and no more than 0.5 mm over-travel

I started my disassembly yesterday and gave up after several attempts of trying to remove the pesky spring by the safety switch. I gave it hell again today for about an hour when the light bulb finally clicked. My picks were too thick making it difficult. Went and grabbed some needle nose hair tweezers and the spring was out within 10 seconds. On to assembly tomorrow. Great detailed video.
Trigger install took me 3 hrs ,chasing little spring all over the kitchen.

I really like my trigger. This video makes installation a snap.
My trigger had some lateral flex (especially to the left). I fixed that by wrapping the nylon washer with aluminum duct tape. The thickness went from 0.042inch to 0.051inch, so now a snug fit.

The installation of the Victory trigger was easy. I followed this video and had no troubles.
I installed my TK Victory Trigger a while back and finally gotten more range time to perform some test and tune. I found that my groups are tighter with the same ammo as I had used with the stock trigger. My original setup of the triggers adjustments were as per the video's recommendations and held true after rapid firing 6 mags in rapid succession. I fired 3 more mags to build a little heat and introduce more fouling in order to perform a real world trigger pull test. It stayed right at 2 lbs. It stayed at 2 lbs after firing 300 rounds without cleaning or additional adjustment. The flat face of this trigger will create new found trigger discipline for many shooters and or refinement of their finger placement and technique. With consistent technique you'll find very repeatable and consistent results. So far so good, I'm getting to know this trigger and the more I get to know it, the more I like it. My first impressions of this trigger are mostly positive. I only have one concern and it may be somewhat premature. The tactile feedback of the triggers return and reset are extremely soft, much softer than those of steel construction. I am attempting to acclimate to the triggers subtle feedback characteristics and as the trigger breaks in, I may find it more favorable. I hope to see more products from TK. Thank you TK, you've earned the respect you have amassed.

I just did my S&W Victory tonight . I was done in about an hour and that was with the wife talking and bugging me while I was trying to work. The only thing that gave me some issue was safety catch. That thing gave me big balls for a few minutes. Be sure to out the hammer going in towards the back, I tipped the gun back to make it easier. WOW much better trigger and the feel of that flat face is very nice. It ended up at 2.35 LBS and very crisp..
Very good video! Great detail shown, which is very helpful. The one thing I didn't see was the installation of the very small set screw that holds the trigger assembly to the trigger bar. I assume that anyone mechanically inclined enough to try this install, would have figured it out.
That small set screw was part of an update to the product that happened after this video was made. Now that we have consistent in-house video production, we'll be making a revamped video that includes that step as well as tips to make this install easier overall at some point in the near future.

After fooling around with the plunger and spring and picking them off the floor 3 times I changed the procedure. Put the disconnect bar in the trigger, screw in the set screw and install the trigger first. Then, put the spring and plunger in, turn the disconnect bar down and hook it on the sear. No fuss, no flying parts and no drama. Finish the hammer back portion and you are done. Trigger works fine. Thanks for a fine product.

thank you so much for the video took me like 30 min to install that little spring I lost 2 of them but I found them latter on so if u going to do it make sure you get those springs they r very difficult to install it love that video it's well worth it to do it yourself trigger job

Wow...love this trigger! After shooting only 10 rounds from my Victory with the newly installed TK trigger, my wife is getting one for her Victory. And she wants to install it herself. Looking forward to getting the Halo next. I probably should just order TWO. lol

Great trigger and video only thing I noticed is the tiny screw to lock the trigger to the release isn't in this video. Mine was a very small aluminum Allen screw that came in the kit, there is a tiny hole in the top of the trigger where it goes. Saw it in another video thankfully because I thought I missed something in your video. Love this trigger
First, great video....one of the best out there. So easy to see what you are doing. But, question, when are you applying the Loctite? If screws are placed in before adjustment, how can you then apply? If Loctite is applied before any screw manipulation, then screws are inserted into trigger, wouldn't it set-up and therefore allow no adjustment? Sorry, just not understanding when and how to apply the Loctite.
Go to www.fixvictory.com to purchase the Upgrade Takedown screw combination pack. The Fix: It is a permanent solution to the Takedown screw and Barrel set screw vibrating loose. It is the most inexpensive upgrade for the Smith & Wesson Victory 22LR.

i actually found out that sliding the washer/bushing from inside the trigger guard is easier than from above the trigger like the video shows. There is less fumbling around trying to align the washer to the pinhole.

Just fitted mine. Super crisp. What is the third, very small grub screw for? I assume it goes in the hole at the top of the trigger (internally), but it's not explained in this video.
Great video!! I recently picked up a performance center Victory. Any recommendations on upgrades? Or is the performance center model "The upgrade?"
The Performance Center version is upgraded over the basic stock version, but you can still install most of TANDEMKROSS's SW22 upgrades in it (other than our "hiveGrips", because it comes with those). Our "Victory" trigger and "Halo" charging handle are usually what I recommend people start with for upgrades.

Also, do you all recommend cleaning the bare piece prior to reassembly? Mine seems to have a good amount of residue after about 500 rounds.

The trigger kit shipped in 2018 have a set screw in the top of the trigger that must be installed. This video should be updated to reflect the hardware change.

Glad all you guys can do the plunger/spring thing with so little problem. I can't figure out how to do it with just two hands. The trigger has to be to the rear to get the assembly in. Then you must keep down pressure on it to hold it in, and move the trigger forward to get it under the arm on the trigger bar. (And hold it there while inserting the trigger pin.) For me, the trigger cannot be repositioned forward with the downward pressure in place. Launched the assembly one too many times, spring lost, pretty angry. Really, nobody else has this issue?

At min 12:44 you had the trigger plunger ans spring installed during a break in filming. I missed seeing how it was done without a Launch across the room.

What is the extra little silver screw for in this kit ?
After several times following your video thinking I was doing something wrong ,it ends up that the trigger bar will not engage the sear unless you press hard bottom left to right on the trigger as you pull it, it seems too sloppy even with the washer, not impressed turned a reliable gun into a non functioning one any tips would be appreciated
I just removed the trigger because it would fail to reset after a magazine or two. Upon inspection the trigger was not making contact with either pre or post adjustment screws. During removal I found the mystery screw sticking almost completely out of its hole and removed it with just a twist. Was this the cause of my problem?? I don't see any purpose for this screw and since I followed the install video I probably didn't touch it so it was probably in place as I found it when I installed the trigger. Regardless I trashed the TK trigger since there is nothing wrong with the original S&W. It feels and works just fine for this .22. I prefer flat face for larger caliber guns but it serves no real purpose for this .22.
That screw is in the product installation instructions and will need to be reinstalled. It is not in the video as the inclusion predates the original video. It is necessary on some pistols, and some will not need it. It sounds like this part was not installed with thread locker and backed off potentially. This screw is needed to capture the trigger bar, or else the trigger may not reset for you.
What a pain in the ass this firearm is to install a TK trigger, buy a Browning Buckmark piece of cake putting in
the TK trigger. I had one of these S&W Victory’s sold right after receiving and shooting my Buckmark Camper!
comment and question.. I installed the trigger kit and and fired 500 or so rounds. Very nice trigger. I started to have a problem with the hammer getting stuck when charging. Something is hanging up on the hammer. So I took it apart and found that the roll pin that connects the hammer and the hammer bar was really loose. It fell on the floor and I had a really hard time finding it. I came to the conclusion that dry firing causes stress on the roll pin and causes to close up causing a loose fit.
Question for tandemkross. The trigger in your kit has a set screw not shown in the instructional videos. I did find a reply to a previous question that suggested loosing up the screw to set the bar and then screwing in til flush. In my case when I turn the screw in it binds on the trigger bar arm causing less than free movement. Is the hole for the screw missed drilled?

Yikes!!! Wow do you dry fire the heck out of that thing? Thank you for the detailed video. I am getting ready to drop in my new trigger, but I almost couldn't watch it. Sent me into a complete tailspin every time you did it. As someone taught never to dry fire a .22, I am wondering if I missed something. Is it ok with this pistol and other competition pistols? Dry firing would sure make it easier to set the travel limits, but I can hardly bring myself to think about it. Is that why everybody is so set on removing the mag release safety? It doesn't bother me because I don't dry fire but is it somehow better for a competition pistol. Can you help me out with some of these questions or links to more info. Thanks for making great products.

Question. Why doesn't my plunger fit in my spring? Is this a new feature?
Got the SW22 a month ago. Added rail, red dot sight, halo, extended mag pads, +1 follower and super grips. Just got the trigger too. Now I noticed I have to remove the stock grips to install the trigger, which means, I will have to ruin the super grips as they go all the way around the grip and cover the bottom screw on either side. kinda sucks.
Hi MattyJoe, Thanks for reaching out! The SuperGrips are actually designed so they can be taken on and off (for cleaning the gun, installing parts, etc) without ruining the grips. They will maintain their stickiness and go back on without a problem! Let us know if you need any additional details or tips on how best to do this.

TandemKross. What is the purpose of the extra tiny screw that is included with the "new version?" of the trigger kit? In this video I do not see that tiny screw, but the kit I purchased has it. With my trigger kit, on the top face of the trigger bar near where the plunger spring is, I see a hole where I suspect that tiny screw goes in. But I do not know what its purpose is, which is not shown in this video. Please give me some instruction. Thank you in advance!
Good question, any answers? Will be making my attempt soon with the trigger install and I notice that there is this extra tiny screw as well with no seen explanation or instruction. Help!
Veda Sullivan. They said that small screw is to hold the trigger guide in place. Just tight it in that small hole with some blue lock tie
So I was in the process of putting in the trigger pin and the spring got loose and shot across the room. Found the spring, but not the little metal piece that goes into it. Any idea where I can get a new one? Or do I have to buy an entirely new trigger kit

Started the Trigger installation yesterday. Huge problem
: reinstalling safety. After pushing sear forward to get caught in the safety notch, trying to hold it by keeping the safety down, it would swivel up and disengage from the notch.. It took me a long time to get a punch to go through the Transfer Bar, Safety's two holes and the hammer, then it took me several tries pushing the hammer pin through. I had the gun clamped to a vice but one needs another three hands.
After doing the rear part reassembly, I trued to get the trigger plunger and spring in.One takeoff (I had no plastic bags) of the spring and plunger lucj=kily landed where I was able to "find" it with a magnetic telescoping wand. I stopped at the stage yesterday. I wasn't even sure if my Hammer and Safety installation was correct.

Thank you for your prompt reply and offer to help. I actually sent the gun AND the TK trigger to a Gunsmith in Quebec who are also the Ruger and S&W Warranty Centers. I know that their installing the TK trigger would void the warranty but, what the heck! I wanted that TK trigger installed on what I believe to be a fantastic handgun.

Hi there. Out of curiosity, would the new trigger void your warranty if you ever needed to send it back to S&W and they saw that you the factory trigger was removed? Couldn't you just place the factory trigger back in the gun then send it back for warranty? Also, if you're sending it to a Ruger/S&W warranty center then isn't the install covered? I'm asking because I'm thinking of doing the same thing, but I want to be sure first. Thanks.
32icon Yes. I discussed this with the armourer. The warranty is voided. But I had reached an impasse.
My trigger came with a third set screw that locked on the trigger disconnect bar. Do I really tighten it or just snug it? This video needs to be updated to show this.
Thanks, Rodney. We are working on updating the instructions now. In the meantime, here is some information you can use for the install: Loosen the screw so that the disconnect bar can slide into the top of the trigger, then tighten the retaining screw down all the way. This will lock the disconnect bar to the top of the trigger and prevent it from walking forward, not allowing the trigger to reset.
With it having to be so small I was afraid of stripping the threads. I gave it a good firm turn to tighten and it didn't strip so we're good to go. I think the set screw is a good move. Halo is on and just got the TK mag followers in the mags. Next is the grip.Thanks

Lost the trigger spring pin ....
I recently purchased a S&W 22lr Victory pistol. I asked S&W customer service, by phone and by email, whether it was ok to dry fire this pistol. I received a yes and a no. What do you say? I notice that you dry fire during this video.
Hi there, we do dry fire our Victorys very regularly, both for testing, for videos and when using the firearms at events. While it is often recommended not to dry fire, we have not had any issues with our firearms despite heavy dry firing. Hope this helps!
@@TANDEMKROSS Thank you for your response. My local gun shop said I should use Snap Caps but they had none in stock for my Victory. After further investigating the issue I found Ii could use plastic drywall anchors that work just as well and they're $6 for a hundred pieces.

I am not very familiar or comfortable installing a new trigger, are most gun shops able to do this for a cost?

Just installed mine you never updated the Video to show the retaining screw! had have to take it apart again fun fun please update your vid
The installation instructions on the Tandemkross website (www.tandemkross.com/assets/images/Instructions/SW22VictoryTriggerInstructions_v2.pdf) show that retaining screw in step 16 of the trigger installation.
Please make sure you turn off all TH-cam "video enhancements" when you upload. It screws up video pretty bad.
This could of been done without taking the whole thing apart!
Why are you using super glue? You say "locktite, but you show locktite superglue. Just don't want to super glue it if that's not the intention.

The “aggressive texture” on the trigger makes it the most uncomfortable trigger you will ever encounter. The serrated edge can be used for trimming your nails after each range trip. Feels like resting the bend of my finger on a steak knife.
