VENOM4WD Raptor Modular Cross Bar Install | Lexus GX470 Toyota 4Runner

Can you install roof top tent on your stock roof rack? Installing Venom4WD Ruggedized Raptor Modular Crossbars on my Lexus GX470. Super satisfied with how they look and how easy they were to install. I mounted Dometic's TRT140 Air Rooftop Tent & had no issues driving to the campsite. The Raptor Modular Crossbars are slotted so it mounting your tent or gear on top with ease! Reminder the factory bars can only hold 165lbs. I am doubtful that these bars can handle a tent and 2 average people. If it can hold over 350lbs id be shocked and amazed.

Right, but I'm curious if that only applies when the car is moving. it seemed to hold up pretty well from my last 2 night camping trip. Im about 180lbs and the tent is 102. So It seem to hold up ok holding 282 lbs. Need to add another person to see how it goes.

Hello there! 165lbs is dynamic weight rating while the vehicle is moving. Static weight can support a lot more. We have tons of customers mounting roof top tents with ease!
