Great video and comparsion Matt. I wouldn't trade my VX-6R for nothing. Don't forget you have a future YL, maybe the Baofeng would be a great starter radio for her. Just thinking out loud. Thank you for sharing Matt.

My VX-6R isn't going anywhere either :) Good idea on giving the YL the Baofeng. As long as we stay out of the rain it should be just fine! Then eventually move up to a VX-6R

Fantastic video Thank you, oh and thanks for doing the test on 6 meters with the vx6r but I would very much like to see a range test on it as well. Thanks again.

You're welcome! I will add range testing for the next two VX-6R videos I do.

A built-in rain gauge! Listen up, Yaesu! 😂

My son and I currently have matching FT-70d radios. I hoping at some point we can get matching VX-6r radios. I have always loved how rugged it is and its features. Great video.

Thank you! I gave the UV-9R to my 8 year old daughter. She loves it but eventually want to get a third VX-6R and give it to her. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year

Matt, after watching the rest of the comparison, maybe you shouldn’t give the Bad Baofeng to your YL. Thank you again for proving that the VX-6R is what it says, quality.

After opening up the bad Baofeng and drying it out it is functioning just fine but seriously lacking any type of water protection. I may be able to solve that but why go through all the trouble when you can get a VX-6R or similar quality HT? Thanks again for watcing :)
