Model designed by me - Hoang Tien Quyet.
From 1 uncut square of paper. Size 15x15cm results a 7cm high model.
Recommend paper: normal origami paper is fine.

So nice, found the cheap 10 by 10 kami i used to soften a bit to much from working it to keep the shape well so i split it into 5 by 5 pieces and that worked really well, It looks so cute when it is smaller

Can you make video for the fox, from photos very hard to follow? And origami seige doesn't make easy to see the steps. Please, I really like the model, it has the attractiveness of the fox.

i used 22.8x22.8cm and this time i actually successfully did t! looks good on the kitchen wall. thanks for great tutorial. love your work, could you please put up more of the intermediate models instead of just showing them off? :3 do you have a book out?

I'm pretty busy at the moment but I promise there will be more tutorials in the future. I haven't published any book yet, but I will try!
thanks for replying to a nobody, you're a pretty big deal in the origami world. I really hope you _do_ have time someday publish a book I can buy! I've been making the owls as gifts and almost have it memorized. I just had a 5 hour foot surgery about a week ago, so I'm doing lots of origami.
Once question, and no hurry at all b/c it wll be a few months, but when I get better, I'm creating a HQ video Robert Lang's Turtle from Origami Zoo, verbatim.There's variations on YT from the pros, but wherever I look none follow the original book diagram. _So, in your professional opinion what color contrasts best with green paper on a TH-cam video?_
Sorry so long, but just a last thing...I don't have fb but checked out your public page, I'm able to tell you're confident and aware of your own talent, just wanted to commend you on your dedication/talent & say never lose heart as a professional origamist in future endeavors; those of us who love to fold have an appreciation of that rare gift to take paper, wet-fold or implement geometric designs and manipulate them into original art (◕‿-)

What type of paper is that? It seems very strong and not easily torn. Does it have a particular brand name?
+Jeff Smith For the teaching model, I used normal origami paper (Kami). For the model in the photo, I used crumpled paper, from China, then I glued two sheets together. I think if you glue any two sheets of other paper together, the paper would also be quite strong.

Anh quyết cho em hỏi giấy này là kami hã anh? Em nghĩ là nếu mình làm hướng dẫn mà không nói gì thì có thể làm ghi chú phía dưới hoặc có thể cho thêm nhạc để thêm sinh động anh :)
+Duc Anh Nguyen Ừ đây là giấy Kami, anh thì ko thích thêm nhạc lắm, tại cũng ko biết chọn nhạc. Anh mới thêm ghi chú rồi.
Thấy giấy ăn nếp hơn Kami em hay gấp, Kami này là trọng lượng bao nhiêu anh? Ở Hà Nội có bán không anh? Anh thêm mấy bài không lời vào là được rồi anh :) Vừa nghe nhạc vừa gấp thú vị hơn :D

À giấy này của Hàn Quốc, anh được tặng chứ không mua ở VN. Giờ giấy Kami nhập về hay là loại made in China, chất lượng kém hơn, anh cũng chỉ để gấp nháp thôi.
Thực ra giấy Kami tốt đến mấy anh cũng không dùng gấp mẫu chính thức :D
+HTQuyet Origami Dạ em cảm ơn ạ :) Tại bữa em cũng có 1 xấp kami mà nó mỏng lắm không có ăn nếp và độ cứng như giấy này. Bữa nào làm video hướng dẫn hoàn thiện một số mẫu đi anh, ví dụ: như con ngựa... :D

Ừm mấy mẫu đó khó, thực ra từ hồi gấp xong con ngựa cho cuốn sách anh cũng chưa bao giờ gấp lại... Với cả anh cũng thích mọi người tự chế biến hơn :D . Để anh xem vậy

How do you fold the green thing the owl's sitting on please?
Hi, it's folded from kite base, then fold like a swan/bird head, which is only 3-4 steps from a square. I've also posted another video for folding another green tree for the owl. It's a bit different but still work.

+TheHoeSay21 Sorry, I haven't made diagrams of this model. In general, I don't draw diagrams frequently, just for few models, as I prefer designing. Making diagrams often requires lots of time, and isn't interesting... Sorry
