I think this comment is just made to entertain the thought that we should not fixate too much on things we can't control body, dna etc. But to continue witnessing life with our conciousness.

The lyrics of this song are especially empty, meant to sound thought-provoking when in reality they don't seem to mean or be referring to anything specific at all. It's a shame too because they sound great otherwise.
The chorus (and the whole lyrics really) is proof that you can convey a meaningful message using simple words.

my first time listening, very impressed. I find it funny that there's English subtitles for an English song .... sung perfectly, with perfect diction throughout; yet someone in her camp decides that English subtitles were needed to promote in such a way. Marina is a pleasure to discover for sure, she has such an obviously blessed talent for singing. I'm tagging her now because I have to hear more. If your DNA is replicated inside of microbial cells 10 years after you've died, is that "you" in the petri dish? What we call "self" cannot be quantified in terms of the physical parts alone.

I feel like I'm just hitching a ride on someone else and the longer I watch them try to function, the more frustrated I get for them that everything's going wrong and we can't fix it. Life's happening around them, but the things we can change don't fix anything. Only thing I can do is talk to them and try to get us through everything, day by day. I'm both the passenger and the driver yet I feel like neither, both, and nowhere near the front seats. I'm not them, I'm not me, I'm not this body, mind, or brain, but I'm still thinking, therefore I still am?
