As a 50 year old Irish republican with a Protestant background, I have huge respect for these guys. Caught them at EP last year and the energy was class. Been enjoying them ever since and delighted to see them doing so well. They picked up a microphone instead of a gun and they speak a lot of sense that seems to be missing with the new wave of young republicans. Massive respect to the lads. Bring it on.

You speak the truth, and I'm forever grateful for that. Growing up in north county Dublin, most of the adults around us refused to talk about the situation in the north, anytime the topic came up - especially during the troubles - every adult in the room tut-tutted, shook their heads and quickly changed the subject. What a pathetic attitude! Thankfully, things have changed for the better and you guys are playing a role in that...Just for the record, one of my drinking buddys here is a fine, proud protestant from Lisburn, who celebrates St. Patrick's Day in fine style...May God bless you guys, 😆☘.

20.36 - the point about trying to wipe out a cultures language as the first step in the colonial project is bang on the money. Saddam Hussein tried to do the same to the Kurds, Slobodan Milosovic wanted to do it to the Kosovar Albanians. All 3 examples all involve peoples being forced out into the toughest mountainous regions of those places, and each is a story of perseverance and survival that can only be truly told in the mother tongue.

And now, the absolute icing on the cake, is they've made the Celtic Nations complicit in colonial genocide, again. I moved back home to Wales a few years ago, after living in Newcastle for just over a decade. Geordies absolute get it. They've been on the receiving end of it too.

Correct. I went to RC school in England (during The Troubles) and happened to have a lot of Irish and Scottish teachers so was taught a great deal of the history of the British Isles (in the eighties if you were RC in Southern England you mainly came from Ireland,Scotland or some other part of the Empire). I even had a fiercely Welsh music teacher who taught us some beautiful Welsh language songs and folktales. The first time I was ever around majority English people who had not come from RC or non English backgrounds was at University and it made me realise how little they knew about what colonialism did to countries like Ireland, Scotland, the Commonwealth etc. They really did not have a clue - they were brought up on BBC and Thatcher nonsense!

I've lived in Norn Iron 35 years , sent my son through integrated schools , so it's great to see these young men setting the story straight and bringing people together !

Wrong, the British government certainly does serve some people. They are the owner class ie the Establishment ie the ones who own all the banks and big corporations, the aristocracy, the people who have been the servants of the government and monarchy going back hundreds of years etc. Look to where the aristocrats went to take up careers when the government started to demand proper taxes from the aristocracy after the First World War - that will give you a clue.

Great interview with a group of well focused lads with their heads screwed on straight. I feel the biggest thing to take away from all the points they hit on is this idea of "inclusion" whether it be Irish, English, loyalist, nationalist etc. All this is not going to be solved without the participation of all sides, with all views and backgrounds accepted. The English government has always ruled as exclusionary and more pertinently, nothing anywhere has ever been solved by partitions, divisions, borders and walls. I wish these lads well on their journey and fully support them. Btw I'm English and work for the crown but enough is enough.

@@VectorTracker fine, anyone in the occupied counties can identity as they wish, but does not change the fact that everyone on the island of Ireland can identity as Irish, but not everyone can identity as British.... everyone is entitled to an Irish passport, but not everyone is entitled to a British one... and for good reason = it's an Irish island from top to bottom.
No amount of Planters will change that... greetings from Dublin ☘🇮🇪💚.

I’m living in the Uk. English working class have been shat in by the establishment too, and loyalists too.
Nearly every English person I know here has at least one Irish grandparent.
The Norrh ‘has established itself the UK’. Jaysus, who is the posh, ignorant dub. Folks would have paid towards his education too.
    I’m a dub - embarrassed listening

These 3 Guys from Belfast make me proud to come from the North. They know their history and the importance of language for a people colonized by the Brits. They donate for the Irish Language and for Palestine refugees and are welcoming to immigrants to Ireland. Full of Love. 15,000 Belfast anti fascist anti racist against 200 thugs. It’s always been about the elite rich hammering the working class. Education is how to beat the fascists! So anyone anywhere who’s been colonized. Decolonize your mind and learn your native language and educate yourself on colonialism. Find support from similar people. There’s millions of us. ❤

Didn't the Jews do that after defeating multiple Arab armies in an attempt to drive them into the sea and rebuilding their nation after 2000 years of exile and reviving their ancestral tongue as well.
