      I saw this video of the crow 1994 starting Brandon Lee playing as superhero is Eric Draven after his last set on the crow movie 1994 when the actor played funboy played by Michael Masses was accidentally just shot a real life Brandon lee on the set. Just like bruce lee playing game of death early 1978 was shot on the set and he died got assassination by the Mel Novak the actor played stick he puts a real caliber bullet on his revolver he shot bruce lee into his face and came out to the left cheek on his face''

      Lee and The Crow should have gone on to create and still be creating the greatest of all the comic book heroes and stories in a universe that is one large gold mine for best actors, directors and writers of our day. It works in film, TV, anthology format, miniseries etc. The timeless and inexhaustible themes of life, love, loss, bonds that cant be broken, evil in the world, revenge, the nature of time and our brief moment of life, afterlife, memory, crime, sex, death, hope and love overcoming all. The character has the most interesting superpowers of psychometry or ability to touch items and see its past, events associated with it like with the rings at the pawn and to see events through others and absorb emotions through them and even pass it on to another as with Albrect memories and Shelley pain he gave to and killed Top Dollar. Tactile empathy.( not many superheroes with empathy as a superpower but it is) the connection with The Crow and sharing its eyesight and night vision, even being able to transform into a crow and fly, invulnerability, never sleeps or eats or needs to, feels no pain, off the charts reflexes and strength, speed and endurance that allow him to use guns knives or anything to the very limits of what would be possible according to laws of physics and the capabilities of the weapon or material. If the gun can do it and bullet travel far enough then the crow could make any shot or hit any target and he could make just about any miss him. He can see, hear, smell and nearly be present in two places at nearly unlimited distances at once because of his connection with The Crow and his control of. Seeing Sarah be kidnapped and making the bird peck the eyes out of Myca while he fights Top Dollar are examples. The inner turmoil and rage, bordering on psychotic at times and the great depression and loss are basically unique to any hero in comics. There beyond that experienced by even the most evil villains. When combined with the sense of humor and the energy and playful mischievous personality, and most importantly empathy, sense of justice and the great depth of love The Crow has it creates a character of unsurpassed complexity. Feeling love in the present for or from anyone or anything or remembering love for another or the love of another whether dead or alive causes The Crow to grow stronger and stronger. It is the true origin of the powers and resurrection from death as well as what truly sustains and strengthens them. Without love so great and grief and rage so deep and intense The Crow would have never been brought back. The bird is the link and a vessel for the power but the true link and source is love so that even if the bird dies the man, though weakened, could still carry on to finish what he came back for. Imo that beats getting bit by a radioactive spider. The Crow can be man or woman, any race, and can return to the afterlife or in some cases remain on earth. Usually in cases where its redemption that is sought and not vengeance will it remain for longer periods of what could be centuries or even longer. Basically immortal if not actually. It has appeared in many times and places. How we got a really good movie, 1 great hero and a villain and 4 of the worst sequels and even worst movies ever made period and 4 forgettable or atrocious protagonist and a slew of villains and stories choices that beggar belief when a truly inexhaustible world exists from which to create new heroes and villains and stories and to revisit and intertwine them with the old to make them ever deeper and nuanced with unsurpassed opportunity for variety and timeliness as well as timelessness. Too deep for most to create anything but a mess.

    a lot of people commenting like this was the scene where he was shot, it wasn't.
    He was shot filming the flashback scenes, when Eric comes into the room and Michael Massees' (may he also rest in peace) character Funboy shoots him it was that moment, the magnum thats used through out most of the film was not properly checked and something lodged in the barrel.
    The actual footage is not in the film at all.

    • @yoursafeplace8476
      @yoursafeplace8476 5 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      What got lodged in the barrel was a prop bullet they had loaded in for closeups of the revolver. The barrel wasn't checked/cleaned properly so when they loaded in the blank they created a live round essentially.

    This is not the scene where Brandon Lee was shot. The flashback scene where Eric walks in on T bird and his crew attacking Shelly and they shoot Eric is the actual scene where he was shot. That footage is not in the film and was destroyed by the police after their investigation out of respect to Brandon and his family to avoid any public viewing of it. Michael Massee ( Funboy ) is the actor who unfortunately fired the gun and he was devastated by it for the rest of his life. They finished the scene where he was shot and the few others he hadn't completed with his stunt doubles and CGI. This is why in some scenes his face is not shown such as his transformation scene and his face was placed on his double with CGI during the lightning strikes during the end of that scene. The scene where Eric kills T bird was done with his double and footage of Brandon that had been filmed earlier for another scene , which is why Eric doesn't speak in that scene.

Even though he killed Brandon by accident, he never forgave himself for it, but I'm pretty sure Brandon's family forgave him. Because if you do something very wrong and you feel guilty about it and you don't expect anyone to forgive you, they'll forgive you eventually.

      @Shanethefilmmaker 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The crow isn't just his weakness. It's an extension of his powers. He sees what it sees and it guides him to where he needs to go. Like a familiar or a spirit guide.

      @michaelsong5555 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Shanethefilmmaker I know he uses it to see from a different angle (the movie showed several times he did that), but having it so open on the ground level (of all thing) was stupid. It didn't provide anything extra, except expose its weakness. I mean, the villain made it very clear where his position was. And the crow didn't provide any new line of sight due to it being on the ground level.

      Except for Ceser Romero (Batman: the Movie, 1966) and Jack Nicholson (Batman, 1989). The Crow came out in 1994. Four other Batman movies were made between 1992 to 2006 with no Joker in the story. The Joker did not appear in Batman movies until 2008, with Heath Ledger as the Joker.

    • @amadousef846

      Nope. Most iterations of the joker was either based on Alan Moore’s The Killing Joke, or Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns. The Crow comic took elements of both Batman and Joker into the character.
