I just started following you but I live all your crafts!!! That spatula is pretty accessible anywhere and cheaper than Dollar Tree. But it's actual purpose is for putting on beauty masks. I also use a small one to scrape the last of makeup products out of containers so there's no waste. ❤️❤️
First one was my favorite, then you did the second one and that was my favorite. By the time you did the third, I forgot what the first one was (Good thing I put checkers, shower rings, and hula skirt on my list😊)and the third was my favorite. Once again my talented friend, I choose them all.

Lol, very sharp knife! They are also not real cork I think. Someone told me there are synthetic corks and I didn’t know this. Mine are very smooth inside and don’t crumble like natural cork. I suspect they are the synthetic ones. 🥰❤️🍁🍁🦃🦃🎃🎃🌻🌻

If DT would just embrace DIY culture and start selling bulk materials like wooden spheres, blocks, discs and dowels in a variety of shapes and sizes, they'd make so much money off of what are basically scrap materials
For REALS! Even tho u can get those things for cheaper I would pay for the convenience of being able to buy it cut to certain sizes or whatever. DT DOES sell dowels and wooden cubes in crafters square At least mine does.
You can get bags of specific wooden or cardboard cutouts at Michaels, hobby lobby online, walmart. Very common since 1980s.. & dt used to have bags of several shapes but stopped

That acorn is absolutely adorable! Now, my D. T. has already swiped away all signs of Summer and is full on Fall. (I expect to see Christmas showing up any day now). I do, however, have something that just might make an acorn. In my crafting stash, I have some Legg’s eggs...remember those? Yes! You most certainly could! You can use the shape of anything that is similar to the shape of a coconut. I also have a plastic vase that would have worked. If you go out to look for items to do this, .....look for the shape and not necessarily for the coconut in case your DT doesn’t have it. These are all so expensive looking Holly! I thought that I might use a jumbo plastic egg I have leftover from Easter to make the acorn! I used half of one to make a bee hive. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone needs some ideas on what to use. Thanks again Holly for the inspiration.

Silicone spatula continued: I bought one them about 2 months ago and the package says face mask applicator. I tried it and fingers work so much better. I almost threw it away until I saw some TH-camrs using it for hit glue. I like the pumpkin made with checkers. I was thinking maybe I could use canning jar lids. I have a few of the handle jars and no idea what to do with them.
Lids are a fantastic idea! Thank you for the info about the spatula! Interesting! Nice to know other TH-cam crafters use them too! I did actually buy it for hot glue to try, but it wasn’t premeditated. I had a sudden brainstorm at the DT when I walked past it. Honestly I expected it to melt and was thinking I would have to keep replacing it. Was so happy to realize it was real silicone! Do you remember which TH-camrs use it? Thank you Debbie! That is good to know! Unfortunately wish stole my credit card once and put $800 on it. The bank put it back but I have been hesitant to use that website again. My daughter told me that is a really common problem with Wish so be careful. I was thinking about getting a separate bank account that only has $100 in and using that card to prevent that in the future. Thanks for the tip though because it’s good to know! I started to make the acorn last year using brown irregular glass beads for the top..but yours looks so good… maybe i could finish it with the rope.

I'm going to have to look for supplies in our poundland but our wine bottles all seam to be screw tops instead of cork now so I'll have to see if I can get my hands on some corks! If DT would just embrace DIY culture and start selling bulk materials like wooden spheres, blocks, discs and dowels in a variety of shapes and sizes, they'd make so much money off of what are basically scrap materials

For REALS! Even tho u can get those things for cheaper I would pay for the convenience of being able to buy it cut to certain sizes or whatever. DT DOES sell dowels and wooden cubes in crafters square At least mine does.

You can get bags of specific wooden or cardboard cutouts at Michaels, hobby lobby online, walmart. Very common since 1980s.. & dt used to have bags of several shapes but stopped

That acorn is absolutely adorable! Now, my D. T. has already swiped away all signs of Summer and is full on Fall. (I expect to see Christmas showing up any day now). I do, however, have something that just might make an acorn. In my crafting stash, I have some Legg’s eggs...remember those? They may still make them, but I don’t wear pantyhose anymore, so I don’t know. Maybe I could make it work? 🤔 I like all of your projects today. You have a good start on Fall decor. 😊👍🏻🍁🎃

Hi. The same (or very similar) little silicone spatula can be found at Dollar Tree, in the cosmetics section. It is labeled as a Silicone Clay Mask applicator. So, be on the lookout ou n the next DT trip!

This is where I got my original spatula, but some people are having a hard time finding it at the DT including me, so my subs came on and gave information about where we can find it elsewhere. Yes! You most certainly could! You can use the shape of anything that is similar to the shape of a coconut. I also have a plastic vase that would have worked. If you go out to look for items to do this, .....look for the shape and not necessarily for the coconut in case your DT doesn’t have it. I've seen people use the mesh tube from the dollar tree instead of rope. Don't remember how much you get? But that might be an alternative ☺️
I’m not keen on the mesh from the dollar tree, but if it was wrapped tightly you wouldn’t notice and it would work. I don’t know how much comes on a roll because I have never purchased it. Thank you for the idea though! Much love to you! 🥰🍁🍁🎃🎃🦃🦃🤗
These are all so expensive looking Holly! I thought that I might use a jumbo plastic egg I have leftover from Easter to make the acorn! I used half of one to make a bee hive. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone needs some ideas on what to use. Thanks again Holly for the inspiration.

Dollar tree silicone make up spatula. You can find them at Walmart and on Amazon as well.

Silicone spatula continued: I bought one them about 2 months ago and the package says face mask applicator. I tried it and fingers work so much better. I almost threw it away until I saw some TH-camrs using it for hit glue.
I like the pumpkin made with checkers. I was thinking maybe I could use canning jar lids. I have a few of the handle jars and no idea what to do with them.

I found some small wood slices on the wish app for free last year and just paid shipping, before shipping got all crazy.
Thank you Debbie! That is good to know! Unfortunately wish stole my credit card once and put $800 on it. The bank put it back but I have been hesitant to use that website again. My daughter told me that is a really common problem with Wish so be careful. I was thinking about getting a separate bank account that only has $100 in and using that card to prevent that in the future. Thanks for the tip though because it’s good to know!
