According to Bill Paxton, this was the toughest scene in the movie to film. Plus, the Ferris Wheel was full-scale, so they only had one chance of getting it right.

Superb music composition coupled with class animatronics and a heartwrenching scene. What really gets me is the eyes. They were so realistic, they say the eyes are the window to the soul and they managed to capture that and show a genuine care in Joe's eyes. The look of a kind soul recognising a young boy in danger as he once was and a need to help and save an innocent from a purely unselfish preposition. This was truely a beautiful scene.

This was aired on HBO and Star Movies when I was a kid, back before 2008's, one of my fav. movies. Man that decade was so nostaglic, sitting in front of TV and watching all these movies!
George of the Jungle, Jingle all the way, The Mummy, The Mummy returns, Dunston checks in, Ace Ventura pet detective, Liar liar and so many more!

I watched that movie when I was a boy, not more than 4-5. and because of this scene I was always afraid of the Wheel, but I reassured myself saying that if it turns bad Joe will be there

I havent seen this movie in so long. I remember being 5 and bawling at this part AND when they locked Joe away. But this scene is just too much for my little heart.

I remember crying when Joe was unconscious, I really thought he was dead but luckily Jason and he survived, I swear the Ferris wheel tipping is a homage to King Kong falling off the skyscraper.

You can see when they were gonna hit the ground, Joe hugs the boy in close so that he took all the impact of the fall. If he didn’t do that the boy would have been seriously injured or died from the fall. He has a hero for doing that.

I Am Very Proud Of Joe The Gorilla After He Risked His Life To Save Jason's Life From The Burning Ferris Wheel This Scene Makes Me Cry In Tears I Got Very Worried About Joe The Gorilla He Was Very Close To Commit Suicide He Just Landed On The Ground Unconscious
