To be fair, a 10% clear rate is decently high. Contrary to what Matt said, ever death IS an attempt. So the average person would take 10 attempts to fully beat the level. Not bad.
Things arent "hard" until sub 5%, and not kaizo until sub 1%

The timer is the problem. I've seen so many people run out of time just before the flag.
That fist level, really felt like an actual Mario level, really impressed by the community there.
When Gavin is in the zone, he is surprisingly good. Those last two levels were great from him; the fact he got the first one pretty much straightaway was brilliant (Michael congratulating was also so precious) XD

Those 1-10% clear rate levels seem much closer to what AH should be doing - difficult enough to cause failures, easy enough that they're doable before the stream gets boring. Watching them spend a hour and a half on the same level just isn't interesting.
honestly the only reason most of them are 1-10% is because ive noticed if the level isn't so easy a 5 year old can beat it people don't play and finish it they instead leave adding the attempts to the clear rate pool and it having less clears in the process forcing it to have a lower clear rate
cause that celestial level is one of the easiest levels ive ever played and i don't understand why its only a 10% clear rate the only thought i have about it is that people just leave after failing once or twice

No, I am not remotely good. I have never successfully finished a Mario game - I'm more of a fan of longer, drawn out build up games like Factorio or the X-series. Also, I don't own a Switch
They definitely overestimate difficulty based on the clear rate. The average player is not great, and lots of people probably give up after a few deaths unless the level is themed really well or something.

@@nachoqt not true. As a person who has failed this level by running out of time on multiple occasions just before the flag, I can say I held right and run the whole time.

An explanation on clear rate and number of plays. Number of plays (the feet) is the number of unique people that have played it. The clear rate is the number of runs (not necessarily by different people) that completed the course. So for a level with a clear rate of 10%, 1 in 10 runs completed the course. Note this also includes people that never finished it, which means people that cleared the course on average did it in less than 10 attempts. A clear rate of 10% is fairly high, levels start to get hard once the clear rate hits 1% and under

That’s because it is incredibly easy to tie the “world record” on this level. You only have 20 seconds to complete it.
Not that they know it, but tying the record on that level is really easy
if you beat the level you tie the record the timer is incredibly tight you stop for even a second you lose
its why i hate those types of levels D: first person to beat it keeps record forever

Btw, each death IS an attempt. 10% is not hard, the average person takes 10 lives to beat the level, and people who quit because they end up not liking it count.

awww man i was hoping the mario crew would continue the campaign ): i purposely didn't watch other people play it bcs i wanna see them finish it. oh well, doesn't matter i guess bcs mario maker is still good content
ok nvm, you guys took too long so i watched the campaign from someone else's channel. i know AH probably don't care, but i just want to let them know so if when they actually did it and it got little to no views, i'm not one of the people who is held responsible for it. lol.

Back in the days of Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Geoff had made a comment about how Gavin goes from one extreme (flawless 17-0 runs) to the other (losing all your respawns within the first minute). This let’s play is a prime example.
They need to play 4 player coop in this game. Sure, having them take turns is fun but having AH scream at each other would be hilarious for this.
I think 4 player versus would also be fun(considering how utterly awful the servers are for it) but idk if they could set that up to record 4 switch consoles or not.

Does a 10% clear rate mean 10% of players who attempt the level clear it, or that 10% of the total number of attempts are clears? Seems like the latter would make more sense with some of those insanely low percentages for fairly easy levels.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the Horizon Zero Dawn DLC is not free, right? I'd have to pay for it? That game was so fun, beat it once, got all the trophies then never touched it.
It’s not free new game plus is free but he story dlc is £15 or whatever that is in dollars. It’s about 6-7 hours long I think. Can’t remember but it was basically more or the main game with new robots and snow
