With an explosive cola flavor, we just needed to know how our Boom! Toothy Tabs get their teeth-cleaning awesomeness. Sara and Pinch from our manufacturing team blend together detoxifying ingredients like powdered charcoal and gunpowder tea to give your mouth a cleansing blast. They also add in black pepper oil and ground chili to give every tab a gentle warmth along with a yummy flavor. And don’t be fooled by its dark color, the charcoal gives #teeth a good scrub to get them #clean, but it washes away with a quick rinse to leave teeth sparkling!

i have ocd and cant use normal toothpaste, so these are really cool for me. i prefer them to just using regular baking soda, which i was doing till i discovered the toothy tabs last year.

Megan Krug I asked that same thing and they said it's not required. To me if I'm putting anything near my mouth I would rather hairnets were worn. I find it gross to see hair not in a net.

Parker Stephan - faulty comparison. You are prescribed a certain number of pills by your doctor and typically they have a pill counter which makes it less labor intensive. Most products are by weight. Example: you don’t get “500 pretzels” you get one ounce of pretzels. Nobody counts the individual pretzels. Medications are much different. However, toothy tabs are not in fact medication, however similar they may look. You are trying to compare apples to oranges.

I really hope people don't use this on a daily basis. Charcoal may whiten your teeth but it is extremely abrasive and will destroy your enamel eventually.

i think its all an illusion. your teeth turn black, and when rinsed off, they look super white.
@@missworld2007 Nah it's rather that the charcoal and sodium bicarbonate actually works as sandpaper on your teeth and files down the enamel, which is why it's not good to use if you want to keep your teeth. Why Lush produces and sells them I have no idea.

ambrozalia I believe that the paper boxes were scrapped because they would deteriorate if you left them next to the sink

have used your black pepper toothy tab a few years ago before it was discontinued. then I switched to the Charcoal + Coconut Oil flouride free toothpaste from the Hello Brand at local drugstores. recently went to lush to get some solid shampoo/conditioners to take on a trip I'm traveling to by plane. Remembering how much i loved the black pepper toothy tab years ago & now have a new love for charcoal toothpaste I got boom! and have not been disappointed at all. I could never go back to using things like Crest or Colgate.

Erhm well everything yall say is bullshit. The toothy tabs are just fine and doesnt to jack shit to your health. There's even experiments that people have done and they found that the tabs worked better than usual toothpaste. Toothpaste also had some issue with plastic so the tabs are way better than toothpaste in my opinion atleast. There's nothing to worry about. Yall wont die.
@Melle I think it's perfectly fair to question it... just because the toothy tabs LOOK like they're working doesn't mean they're not doing damage. Just look at the Radium Girls or the people who used to wear Venetian ceruse back in the day; they were told the products were safe and saw benefits from using them, so they never thought to question it until too late. Like, the Radium Girls *literally* glowed in the dark from radiation poisoning, but they thought it was quaint and harmless. A bit of an extreme example, but still applicable. These very well could be causing damage to our teeth, so why not do more research to find out for sure? Simply dismissing it as bullshit and saying there's nothing to worry about doesn't really help anyone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Believe it or not, I had never heard of Toothy Tabs before this. Now, after this video, I am definitely going to give them a go and buy them when I go shopping tomorrow.
i tried this as a sample in the lush store before the pandemic, it was interesting, it tastes like an explosion of different flavors in your and it has a spicy kick to it from the chili powder
I don’t really understand why people are complaining about the taste. I actually like the subtle flavor and the fact that the flavor doesn’t linger like normal minty toothpaste is really nice

Cream of tartar is used as a hardening agent.
Cream of tartar helps Toothy Tabs retain their shape, and it works along with the sodium bicarbonate to get those chompers sparkly and clean!
I love how you guys just tell us how you make them so we no there are no harsh chemicals in them
Steps how to make your own toothy boom!
Step 1: get a parchment paper
Step 2: make dots of toothpaste in the parch ment paper
Step 3: sprinkle that toothpaste dots with baking soda
Step 4: let dry
Step 5: BOOOOOOOOOM!!!! Your done

I miss the cardboard boxes they used to come in. I know the bottles are made of post consumer recycled plastic and can be recycled again, but paper is still so much better.
I looove the toothy tabs, so convenient and they work so well. I also love knowing they were made my fairly paid workers in first world conditions. So nice to be able to see for my own eyes on here how they are made.
I haven't tried the toothy tabs yet but, they look really cool and useful!
I got this about a week ago and after that I went traveling there really easy to carry around instead of a whole bottle! I really recommend it and it doesn’t taste bad at all! ❤️❤️

Ivan Chews I did a sort of experiment I guess u could call it where I tried normal toothpaste for a month and then the the charcoal toothy tabs, and there wasn't much difference however I realised using toothy tabs my teeth wasn't as sensitive or gained plaque within like a day
Some of my friends use just baking soda and water to brush their teeth because there has been some talks that say fluoride is not good for the health. This is a bit more natural.

Ivan Chews I really like it! It makes my mouth feel clean. I'm also doing an experiment. I used crest 3D white for 6 months and went to the dentist and now I'm using toothy tabs and I'll go back to the dentist in a few months. I'll see if I get a cavity or have more plaque build up.

I have bought "oral pleasure" in Lille, France. I was interested in lush products for a long time and when I went to the dentist they told me to be careful, cause it might potentially damage my teeth, so I have started to use just a half of the tablet in the morning and in the evening, btw the taste of the tablets are amazing and it is really convenient to use in my day to day routine!
P.S. please open a shop in Lithuania, cause than I could buy more of your products!

This kind of tab was the first one that I tried, I and really like it! The flavor is not that strong, so do not be scared by the charcoal in them. It has the same problem as Scrub Scrub Scrub Shower Scrub, it leaves your mouth a bit black, even greyish... excellent product anyway. Limelight is also recommendable

Also my suggestion is to not use this as a replacement for toothpaste, but as an enhancer. I only use this max 2 times a week (and only once out of the two times I brush). I also find that half a tab is enough!
for me, the tabs are very abrasive and if I use it too much, my tongue and gums will get sore (almost like the feeling on the tongue after eating a lot of pineapples).
