Bruno Massot is very talented, but he only started to develop his full potential when Aljona, Alexander König and Bruno's original French coach became a team. At the beginning of this partnership most experts were very sceptical and surprised that Aljona, who was already one of the most successul female pair skaters ever, choose an unheralded Frenchman in order to pursue her dream of an Olympic gold medal. But together Savchenko and Massot became one of the best pairs ever. And while Aljona was initially far more accomplished, she says today that Bruno was her best partner. He was mentally more stable than Aljona's former partner Robin Szolkovi, and Bruno's fiancee was apparently more understanding than Robin's girlfriend. Robin was a great skater, and Ajona and Robin were a stunningly handsome pair. Bruno was taller and stronger, though, and he could throw Aljona really high into the air. I think he deserves more credit. Aljona couldn't have fulfilled her dream without Bruno's talent and dedication.
