There's no excuse in not optimising the game for everyone. If it wouldn't be such a crappy experience then players wouldn't leave it. I myself and a lot of my friends quit just because ping in the EU doesnt get better, it's a joke how I get 70ms in other games on eu server but even with the "fix" i get 120ms at best.
i was gona quit because of ping it's just bad all time it never gets below 170 ms and that's annoying i was trying for months to get my S badge for mad eyes but i just fell im not fast enough at these walls because of the ping it's not even fair playing with a bad ping against people with good ping . it's not my fault or me being bad at the game it's the game itself (Btw i got my first S badge this week im the 9th )
I'm going to made a bold guess, but I think the NA/EU server is actually located in Mexico or closer to the South of the USA. I'm from Brazil and my ping oscillates from 130-170 ping. I play other games and Ik one of them the NA server is located in Ohio and I get around 170~ ping there too. So I'd say that based on my game experience it'd be between Ohio and Mexico (bc 130 is considerably a very low ping if the server is actually in the USA). Also, I think one of the things that would help IDV the most, even if it's unfair, is let PC players match with mobile players. Ik there is an advantage by PC gamers, but it's still a way to try reducing the matchmaking issues (at least imo). Edit: Also even if IDV is seen as a copy of DBD, I think if they marketed it properly, it'd really help them increase the fanbase. The characters are very marketable (as there is already tons of products related to the game) and the game constantly gets collabs with popular stuff, which could bring both younger and older audiences. I think mainly to the younger audiences it could help that the characters are doll-like (and horror) considering it's a popular theme in most recent horror games. I think IDV has a potential to grow (not in big levels like csgo, lol, etc.) into being a bigger game. If you watch CN competitive matches you can see that in the tournaments they can't fill the whole place, but just by it having a studio and people attending to it and spending a lot of money already shows that IDV is doing quite well financially. NAEU has a lot of whales, so they could def gamble on trying to get a better server (or more servers around the world/place). Edit2: Also I always see people asking for a Brazilian server and I find it so bizarre bc even if the lag affects a bit of the game, it's quite surprising that people think that the server would do well considering we are just a really small fraction of players huehue
3:38 I have to disagree, 80-150 ping is not decent playing. The hitboxes are literally nuddles flapping arround. In dbd it was horrible, like crazy. This is also bad, just that it's not meant to have fun playing this game. Eitherway i agree with the rest of your video.
I can relate, for me the game if I am correct, in 2020 or 2019 the game for me was going smooth and okay, had some bad ping time to time but it wasn't that bad, now I am just wondering why did I download the game again
Na/Eu servers already have 2 servers in them. 1 in eu and 1 in na. The only isue is that they wont split them. Also they prioritise the american audience couse for it to connect to eu servers everyone has to be from eu. If there is even a single american, everybody gets thrown into na servers hell. All they need to fix situation is to split the servers and advertise it in better non cringe way
The worst game ever. Literally unplayable. I played so many online games (CoC, CoDM, PUBGM, MLBB) not one is comparable to this horrendous game. - Network diagnostic said it's 150ms by server, 60ms by base station, but inside match, it went up to 250-500-700-900+ms which is totally unplayable. People said to use vpn. Nope, it gets worse, trust me. - Rank mode & certain events are locked & only open in certain time. LOL. First time I've ever seen something like this. So no doubt this game only focuses on certain group of players. My guess is, china & japan players. - A story mode which plays like a mystery game, which is too long, only tell the story, thus unnecessary & unrelated to the core gameplay, and finally just add more size to the game files. The total size is a whopping 7+gb.
Bro.player base is small cuz everyone uninstall this game after a couple of matches with this ping. If they fix this problem im prettty sure the player base will rise

Players in NA/EU service has a better ping than me. I live in Australia and my ping remains around 250ms in Aisa service.
