I really really liked this book. I loved Abigail/Elizabeth - her character, the way she was written and how she was unfolded slowly and painfully. I loved the police chief and his sweet family and spoiler - the love story between the two. There's just so much that I loved about this book... I'd be outlining the entire book - so, I'll just say, Super Book! Really worth the listen! (another good book from Nora Roberts that I just finished is: Identity. A lot like this one - check that one out too) I was trying to think of things I didn't like about the book and can't find one thing!
@@user22162 Totally and completely agree! In my college years, I read anything I could get my hands on by Nora Roberts... Then, I don't know, they got so bad after a while... so I gave up on her... It's been like 15 - 20 years since I've picked up any of her books. I guess, with this one, I was so surprised at how good it was, from what I remembered her to be... I've listened to several more of hers... they are OK... but seem to follow the same formula... like you read one, you've read them all... EXCEPT for Identity... That one was really good! lol
I dont usually listen to this type of vook but I enjoyed this so very much. It was a mixture of comedy, romace, and action. Very good and read excellently.
Great book. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Noticed a few words of the last sentence in the book were missing so here they are. And while the dog happily lapped at his share of champagne, she leaned her head on Brooks’s shoulder and watched the sun lower over the hills. Of home. 💞
I've listened to a lot of books, this book definitely has a WOW description, good one . I think the narrator did a awesome job.also. good books, I've enjoyed them all but this one went over the top!! Thankyou
Really loved this story!! Great characters. Wonderful narrator. Story started out slowly but those moments of revelation become quite important later on. Thanks for sharing!
Great fun novel. Wish the author wouldn't use names roughly the same: Brooks, Blake, Bickley. Really muddled for a while. Also in the Irish trilogy there was Wade and Cade. For quite a while I thought one of the characters was sleeping with her brother though no moral comment was in there! Very confusing.
For goodness sake! The chief of police (a very bright one too) in a little town explaining intimate details of his current love affair to his jealous ex-lover out loud in a cafe, naming names? With a private detective hired by his archenemy sipping coffee 10 feet away? I couldn't imagine a more absurd scene if I tried. That's the lowest point of the story. On second thought: perhaps Abigail trying very hard to blend in and be invisible going shopping at a local store with a big Glock on her hip is even more idiotic? Why not a shotgun? Better safe than sorry.
She is tiring i think, too brain, too much logical, rational, Scientific... Every thing must have explanation..... To live with such person is annoying, as there is no way to discuss things, ot having some arguments She always must have the last word. I agree she is smart, and that saves her life.alone.. But not socially!
I love the book, loved it, loved it. The insight to the main character was phenomenal. Also the reader was perfect in the way she used her voice.
This is my favorite book by Nora Roberts. So glad to have found it on audiobook!
Excellent book! First one of Nora Roberts. Loved the narrators voice as well! What a great job ! Thank you.
Great story this would make a wonderful in movie.

Loved it!! Thank you
Great book loved it 😅❤
This was a DOPE ass story❤😊
Love this book! Can you download Nora Robert’s ‘Obsession’ and ‘Undercurrents’?
Great book... 🎉❤
I wish they would have known it was her that took all there money away
I enjoyed the book but it would have been even better to have included the 12 running years as well
Did you really want the book to be 20 hours long? The 12 years was summarised cleverly and included at just the right spot.
@@janhenderson2521 Very well put.

I absolutely loved this book. It would have been perfect but for the unnecessary use of Jesus' name.
