  • The new G2 Version of the ZTW SHARK Electronic Speed Control is now available. Using the new G2 LCD programming card lets program the ESC.
The new LCD card works on the shark plus some other models of ZTW ESC such as:
    Beatles g2
    Mantis g2
    Skyhawk
    Seal g2
    Dolphin

DSpower is making some really great servos!!!

Yes got the DS power in the boat and the bigger one I accidentally purchased for my boat is now in my 1/12 scale 4WD SCT wet weather basher RC car and it’s amazing!

Hi, I just watched your video again and I think you have a slight misunderstanding when you choose to not activate the "SR function". This function does not decrease or limit the output power of the motor, but it reduces FET losses in the ESC when at partial throttle. I tested this with another ESC with the same function, and I got 10% better efficiency at partial throttle this way. The ESC stays cooler as an additional benefit.

Great info, I will make sure to enable this feature on my 30amp Shark. If you watch my latest video you can see I blew up my 40amp Shark last week. Either some sea water got in or it overheated due to a kink in the cooling line.

Hi and thanks for your good video! I have a question concerning the throttle response: If you apply full throttle and then slam the trigger/stick into full reverse, how is the motor response? Quick and with a hard jerk, or rather smooth and soft? Thanks!

Hi and glad to hear you enjoyed the video. My boat is in pieces at the moment after the huge water leak and lost the battery completely. I have all new radio and esc and plumbing / connectors ready to go but have no time to install it until the summer in 5 months. I will certainly do the test then and you are welcome to remind me. But if I had to guess I would say smooth because it’s a quality direct drive brushless ESC system and not a cheap Chinese RTR toy if that makes sense

Did the test for you and it’s very smooth, as expected!

@@michaelinzitari Thank you very much, good Sir! Just what I needed to hear!

I just finished installing mine in the workshop, and indeed the transition of the rotational direction is smooth and unproblematic. Forwards or backwards, the ESC runs at partial power for a split second at first, before accellerating to full power. As in reverse, the power is just as much as forwards, I reduced the reverse throttle range to 25% in my TX. The programming mode does not work this way though; only with 100% throttle range also backwards. I am looking forward to testing this ESC in a lake soon.

Are you using the transmitter settings to reduce reverse end point instead of using the programmable esc to reduce reverse output? Is this so you have more easy access to settings in the future?

    Hi,
I recently got the G2 100A ESC without the programmer and I trying to run a 1900kV 3 -phase BLDC motor but for some reason the DC motor is not working. I am sending pwm signals through a raspberry pi to the ESC but nothing is working. Do I have to program the ESC first?

when nothing is working i go back to basic process of elimination. does the ESC make the motor spin if you use a known working TX + RX? does the raspberry pie send good signals to a simple known working brushed ESC+motor? Does the ESC work with another motor? Does the motor work with another ESC? once you have these basic questions answered the solution will either be obvious or youll know where you need to focus your energy, passion and footwork

can I parallel two of this with motor to a one 7300mAh battery?

a boat only needs one ESC with one motor. Number of batteries is irrelevant
