    How does mortgage work in Thailand ? Can you make a video on this ? I'm looking to buy a condo in Thailand but I want to take out a mortgage for 5-6 years. I have dual citizenship so I guess there won't be a problem owning the place. However, I have no idea how things work in Thailand. Does people just buy condo or houses with full payment or people have mortgage ?

      There is no mortgages for foreigners unless you have your business. In this case you can apply for one

    What happens after the 30 years lease is up? Do you have to pay the land owner again to extend the lease ? Can the land owner back out and keep the land and home ?

      of course the owner can back out as it's the lease for 30 years only.

    If you have a child with a thai citizen, you can just put the land or property in the child's name. At least that way, it's not in the partners name. Same with the company make the child 51%

    Couldn't this be circumvented with a bank mortgage? If a person bought a house on a mortgage for, say, 30 years. The real owner of such a property would be the bank. It seems like a safer option to me as a partner in a company with 51%

      It's possible if you run a business in thailand as a foreigner but.. its complicated
