I recently compared a horribly tasteless (possibly stale or just very bad) Alishan from a local store to one I got from Teahome. Night and day difference, of course the one at Teahome was 1/3rd the price or less.
Thank you. I’m curious about the water temperature you used. You mentioned some people like to brew cooler. Are you using boiling or near boiling water? If not could you please give a rough idea for a starting point to try if I am new to this type of Oolong?

I swear by teahome too! Only get my TW oolong from here for now

Yep using boiling and near boiling.
