I bought one of those battery powered steam trains myself a couple of years ago, never worked so its interesting to see it in action, especially going round tight curves. Been watching your videos for a few weeks now, really enjoying them so far!

Thanks Tom, really appreciate that! Shame it didn’t work; have you tried replacing the motor or cleaning up the contacts? When mine arrived the batteries had dried up and the contacts needing a good cleaning but it works well now. Hopefully you can get it going :)
      Best wishes

Very nice work and good videos, I do have a question, what track did you use ?

Thanks very much! It’s a mix of Peco SM32 and Cliff Barker stainless steel track. The majority of the track is Cliff Barker.

Hi, just wanted to say how much I've been enjoying your videos. Great little railway, love your approach. Shows how garden railways don't have to be just about expensive live steam locos and so on. What types of paint do you use for your locos and stock?

Thanks very much Tom, very nice of you to reach out. I definitely aim to try and champion that approach to garden railways. Cheap and cheerful but no less fun! I tend to use Humbrol enamel paints or normal acrylics with a coat or two of varnish afterwards.
I will check out the garden railway forum. I’ve been meaning to join there for a while now.
      Best wishes
