This is almost like imitating classic lever machine pressure profile. I guess you will have quite med to high body with strong flavors without over extracting. Brilliant.
you should do a video to show exactly how to achieve the same using the paddle, with and without pre infusion. to highlight the same/differences to having or not having the V3 upgrade.
Well noted, i shall do that when i have the machine on my Coffee Bar here. At Italy we did not really have much time to explore further. Thank you so much for your suggestion, will do that
Do you happen to know is the new standby mode possible to be turned off (I read that this mode turns both boilers off after 30 mins of inactivity)? I didn't find information about this yet.
Handy video, expains it much more clearly than the user guide. I think a decent diagram and/or renaming the menus would help a lot, even the Lelit expert got the settings mixed up one time! I love my bianca V3 and with preinfusion and low flow can leave it set at my regular settings and only play with the paddle when I want to experiment. One feature request would be a 'manual override' or 'use just the paddle' option which temporarily disables any preinfusion/low flow settings for one shot then returns to the presets.
I think i know what you mean. We should be able to save our setting (Preset 1 and preset 2), then we can activate or deactivate whenever we want to, will convey this to LELIT HQ
@@StefanusGoanaYes this would be a great firmware upgrade! It would also aid with the ability to turn auto profiling on/off in one option instead of having to disable each individual menu item. So all the low flow and pre-infusion menus would belong to a parent menu called something like "Auto Profile". You could also allow for up to 5 auto profiles. The menu would go something like Auto Profile Enable? [ON/OFF], IF ON THEN display sub menu to enable Auto profiles. E.g. Auto Profile 1 > ON [Pre inf on, pre infusion start, low flow start, low flow final]. Only one Auto Profile can be enabled at a time, so Auto Profile 2-5 would be OFF. Also, in the advanced manual diagrams it is very hard to understand how the functions work. It would be clearer to first explain what time is set for each setting in each example, and then have the diagrams clearly labelled to indicate where the Low Flow START, Pre-infusion ON and Pre-infusion OFF begins and ends.
Hi Stefanus, what are your suggestions/expreriences? When should one use Low Flow or Preinfusion? For how lon? For what kind of beans? I would like to have some kind of a starting point, some general suggestions. Or do you have to start with every bean new? First without Preinfusion/LowFlow, then activating the one or the other?
Haha that digital interface is sooooo bad the host of interview can’t even work it out as a sales rep of the brand. And they have to cut the video to remove their struggle to work out how to set lo flow. Nice machine. But the interface is from 2003. 5:54
Hi thanks for the comment but rest assure the reason i may cut the video is to shorten it and not to make it boring. 5:54 looks fine to me. Pre infusion usually between 2-4 Low flow can be 4-6 Then full 9 bar Back to 4-6 low flow again and stop.
@StefanusGoana Thx Stefanus, but I don't need silent pump. I just want to use preinfusion features like bloom preinfusion. For this is necessary new pump?
Thank you for the video, really informative! How can we tell if we get the new V3 version or V2 if we order a Bianca in March 2022? Will some V3 have the red logo sticker but upgraded LCC/solenoid or all V3 have new black logo like Mara X?
I was wondering the same thing. At 2:04, it sounds like he's asking this question and is told that you can do the upgrade. You'll likely have to buy some new parts?
Hi Stefanus, after looking for Victoria, then Elizabeth I finally decided that it's gonna be a Bianca V3. Those features are so well thought and superior to other E61 machines. And I'm already waiting on the V4 upgrade (Added 3 position switch for custom/factory pressure profiling presets and more pressure profiling ability, Lelit can do that!) 🙂 What can you say about the heat up time of Bianca? I read that Lelit implemented a special heat up program where the brew boiler heats up to 120-125°C to speed up the heating of the E61 group. And so Bianca should be ready to brew in about 20 minutes. Can you confirm that.
Hi for E61 grouphead no matter what i think we still need time for the grouohead to be ready as well. So heating up boiler is easy and can be done faster but the whole experience has to be the same too: 1. Cup warmer: cups should be hot enough 2. grouphead and portafilter should be hot as well Then we are super ready
Hi there back in my country many are using Bianca, even MaraX, Elizabeth. If you ever heard of Starbike they even use Anna. So depend on how many cups are you planning to serve per day, for Bianca around 50 cups is perfect
You can't, but it is so easy and cheap to buy a $10 smart plug. Even better you can control your smart plug from your handphone. I'm a random person doesn't wake up and sleep the same time, so when i'm free to pass by my home for a quick coffee i turn it on while drive to home and when i reach home its ready to brew. Before i sleep, i set the timer for tomorrow morning as well. If you always wake up at 7 then smart plug can be programmed just like your alarm clock
