That said, I learned some good things from you and having caught a few winter steelhead, I can say your reproduction is excellent. It looks very real, and that is the goal, isn't it!

@@trinitymountainarts1196 Yeah I’m a taxidermist in Ohio we have a lot of steelhead here and I like to pat my own back on doing paint work on a steel head but I always want to improve and I’m actually thinking about doing pan pastels a shot this year that statutory bronze powder by Newburgh ebel is Siad Taxidermy Supply guy or
I generally use pan pastel colors on the head and fleshy areas only. I use a lot of watercolors to replicate the oil layers under the scales to establish my base layer.
