Nice flight.. I started out on nitro, so glad electric has gotten so much better, I still love to fly nitro every once in a while though, nothing like hearing and smelling a nitro motor ripping through the air 😁

I love the smell too Jon. I will never stop flying my glow 4-strokes and 2-strokes, never. Also, there is NOTHING better than a father and son flying and enjoying our great hobby together. I started in the mid 1970's with my dad, and the memories are priceless!!

Great to see NITRO being flown by youth. Nitro will never die. Ive been flying since '78, mainly nitros including many helicopters. I wish they could 'boost' the torque in nitro helis. They are sweet. Nice 4 stroke and it sounds great.

Thanks! I would love to get into a nitro heli!

There is NOTHING like inverting a nitro heli head level at dusk and watching the white cloud nitro stream flow out and back down into the rotor. @@JonsRC

    Love the smell of nitro!!
Sadly i missed the ''Nitro only'' days.
I am 27 years young and i buy helicopters that are as old or older than me!
I get weird looks at the field. Where all the people are flying the latest and greatest stuff im flying my old nitro flybar helicopters like Sceadu's and Raptors. With a big smile on my face.
Yes, electric has amazing power these days. And man is it easy to just plug in a batterypack and fly!
But there is nothing like starting a nitro engine and tuning it to perfection and making that puppy scream!
The scent of burning nitro fuel is like crack for me. 😆
It does me good seeying more people in my generation taking a gander at flying some nitro powered machines.

I do love my electric planes. They are convenient. But, there is just nothing like the sight, sound and smell of nitro!

Where are the contrails? Something in the background made them? ;)

Hi Jon. I'm new to the hobby...like still using the RF 9.5s for a few months new. Is it possible to fly different plane models with one transmitter? If so, what do you recommend?

    • @JonsRC
      @JonsRC  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

If you are new to the hobby, definitely go with a transmitter that will grow with you! I personally recommend the Spektrum NX8. It's an 8-channel transmitter with 250 model memory which is more than plenty! If you want to go lesser, then go with the Spektrum NX-7e. It's a 7 channel transmitter with 250 model memory also. You really want the additional channel past the 6th channel. Some planes will require: throttle, ailerons, elevator, rudder, flaps, and the SAFE SELECT gyro. There's your six channels right there. But, if you buy a plane that has retractable landing gears, you will need that 7th channel. Some planes have a back opening hatch and programmable lights. So, better to go with more channels and not need them than the other way around! Thanks for watching!

@@JonsRC Thank you. Is there a perfomance difference between Radiolink and Spektrum and have you ever done a transmitter comparison video?

Fly more those fuel powered planes. Electric is boring.
