Sir JP, what kind of works can a Psychometrician do without the supervision of a Psychologist? In the HR setting po kase i often see that they hire Psychometricians even though they don't have a Psychologist in their department, and these Psychometrician give tests, interpret results and they also write a written reports of these results, but in the RA 10029 there is a statement under the activities of a Psychometrician which states that "Provided, that these activities shall all the times be conducted under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Psychologist. All the assessment reports prepared by the Psychometrician shall always bear the signature of the supervising Psychologist who shall take full responsibility for the integrity of the report. So, another question that pops in my mind is does the work of the Psychometrician under the HR Setting still valid kahit walang supervision and signature of a Psychologist?
Technically, by law, ang pede lang gawin ng psychomet without psychologist is intake interview.. Pero practically kasi, when we do intake we will also write a report which is something na di pedeng gawin ng psychomet lang. If we will follow the law, the situation na sinabi mo is technically invalid, therefore any report na gagawin ng isang psychomet with no supervision of a psychologist cannot be used as a legal document.
In short, psychometrician license is close to being useless in a practical sense. Pero useful naman siya sa employment purposes (increased chance of being hired, dagdag sahod) + bragging rights and making your parents proud points, so worth it pa rin naman siyang kunin.

I agree with you sir, sometimes nagiging inaccurate na ang result dahil ang test na tinake ni client is hindi nya masyado naiintindhn. Nagkakaroon ng language barrier.

good day po sir, thank you for this lecture! pwede po ba humingi ng onting clarification po sa article VII, section B, paragraph 3 (concerning third party interpreters po)? like sino po ang pasok sa criteria ng interpreter, ano po yung mga common examples ng situations na magco-concern dito, and ano po yung mga limitations ng mag-o-obtain nating data? thank you po in advance :)

I ask na magpa psych eval sya because sa nagawa nyang crime. Irereport ba to ng doctor sa mga authority?
Question lang po, sa anong circumstance po pwede pauwiin yung mga test takers? If big group po like entrance exam or board exam po? Thank you

Maganda and interesting yung mga studies na inattendan ko hehe. although yung talagang tumatak sa akin sa PAPCON is yung career progression ng mga psychometrician. Based on the presentation, RPm is just a stepping stone and not really a career track. Psychologist pa rin ang talagang may track since practically powerless talaga ang RPm at bachelor's degree. kailangan ng masters talaga. it is what it is, i think. haha
wala pa po ba for education and training? medyo confuse pa kase ako at may presentation po ako HEHE

diba sa right of privacy and confidentiality ng client. D dapat tayo mag ddisclose ng info niya depende nalang if minor. If example nasa legal age nako client moko, tas sinabi ko sayo na papatayin ko tong si ano kasi ganun may threat na sa part ko. Tas dinisclose mo na yang info sa authority or sa loved ones ko ganun ganyan and nalaman ko as client na sinabi mo yun so parang nasira tiwala ko sayo ganun. Mangyayari ba yan, irerefer mo na ako sa ibang psychologist or ikaw pa rin maghahandle sakin? Ano po ang next na mangyayari jan sir? Kaso na po ganun? continuous pa rin ba therapy ko jan.. hehe thanks
Usually in practice kasi before magstart therapy dinidiscuss ung limitations ng confidentiality. So one of the limits nga is ung mga ganyang scenario na may harm na na pedeng mangyari sa client or ibang tao. So, alam ng client yon. tapos kung sasabihin niya nga na may ihaharm siyang ibang tao, sasabihin ng psychologist sa kanya na obligated siyang i-share yung information na yon sa authorities and loved ones.
now regarding sa therapeutic relationship, I guess it still depends sa both parties. Kung willing pa si therapist and willing si client, pwede pa naman ituloy ang therapy. pero kung hindi na willing ang isa sa kanila, the ethical thing to do is to terminate and refer the client na.
