Legendary status is not just a matter of stats. Before Shankly arrived, Liverpool were a second tier side permanently in the shadow of Everton. He changed than and laid the foundations for what came after. Klopp is a legend because of his relationship with the fans and because he broke the 30 year run of seasons without a league title. 3 CL finals is also remarkable. City have dominated his time in control, so he failed in his ultimate ambition of returning Liverpool to England's undisputed top team which they were from late sixties to late eighties, but neither Sir A or AW would have had their success if Pep's sides had been competing back then.

Let's not forget that stretch of games from 18/19 going into 19/20 when Liverpool won 35 out of 36 games in a row, only drawing with Utd.

The term legend is subjective. He's a Liverpool legend forever. Whether he's s premier League legend or not is irrelevant. Some will say yes, some will say no. He's a hall of famer and an iconic figure for sure. He's probably no.5 for me behind Ferguson, Pep, Wenger, Mourinho. Obviously another league title or two would've been nice but given how long he was here. The teams that he built, the magic moments, the connection he built with the fanbase. The charisma. That all speaks for itself. He'll be remembered very fondly and respected once the years roll by, the tribalism calms down, and ppl look back on his time here.

I think what Klopp has done is legendary. If it wasn’t for Lance Armstrong FC he’d have at least 3 PLs. Fergie only got over 90 points once and regularly won the title with points totals in the 70s and 80s. It’s a different game now.

LFC fans should be so happy City won the PL and not Arsenal. Why? Bc the second Arsenal were to be winners, their fanbase would constantly be comparing Klopp to Arteta having won the same number of PLs. You all know this would be happening and they would get carried away questioning the greatness of Klopp.

Wenger did have a shocking team for about 8 years defensively you could argue 16 years

Wenger had serious financial restrictions after the building of the Emirates. He did remarkably well to keep Arsenal in the top 4 for as long as he did and as soon as they dropped out for a couple of seasons, he was relieved of his duties.
