Jar Jar was a brilliant inclusion in this episode, in my opinion, for keeping the younger audience's attention during this episode which focused more on the more mature, and perhaps boring, aspects of the war. I believe that the franchise should always target the younger generation but I also feel like it should cater to it's OG fans, such as myself, also. The reason the "The Last Jedi" was hated by so many was because Rian Johnson was obviously making fun of the OG fandom with scenes like Luke throwing the lightsaber over his shoulder in the beginning of the movie amd Kylo's, "forget the past. Kill it if you have to." I've never walked out of a theater feeling the way I did about that movie.
