hi Sir thanks for the video , i have a question about gopro hero 5 Session , When I am connected wirelessly to my Session from smart phone, after about 10 minutes of no activity, it beeps and flashes several times and then turns off. How can I keep it from turning off ever ? please help me
I’m having trouble! My friend gave me this camera so it had been setup on his phone. So when I go to setup with mine, it’s not giving me the same options as I see on every single video. I don’t get the connection settings, it never pops up.
If you're not seeing the connection settings, it may be that your firmware on your camera is out of date. Try doing a manual update on the camera. That should take care of the issue for you. Instructions on how to do a manual update for the HERO5 Session are at gopro.com/update/hero5_session.
I have problem! When I push the button I don’t have here connection settings. Only enter photo mode, camera settings, app, rc and exit. I need to connect my GoPro with my new mobile, I restarted WiFi on GoPro and deleted GoPro app on my old phone. I don’t know what to do. Can you help me please?
The App & RC option will turn on the Connection settings on the HERO4 Session. Try that and you should see blue lights blinking to indicate that the wifi is on.
Hi, after a few months using my Hero somehow it got disconfigured and I can´t connect again! also my camera setting keeps going back to Night mode, how coud I probably reinstall the system again? thank you
i makes it's own wifi you said. So for this you need internet connection? I want to buy the gopro and mount it on very high telescopic pole and use it the smartphone to watch what I'm filming. This works with your method? still confused
You don't need to be connected to the Internet to pair your GoPro to the app. You can be in the middle of nowhere and still make it happen. And, yes, you would be able to see what your GoPro sees by looking at the app. The range varies based on environmental factors, but you should be able to maintain the connection between the camera and your phone for up to 35-50 feet.
It should be basically the same. I did this walkthrough a couple of years ago, so there may be some slight differences as the app or camera's firmware have been updated since then.
When you're connected to your camera, the camera provides that wifi signal. If you do anything else on the phone that requires data content (surf the Internet, use other apps, etc.) it would use your cellular data to get that data. If you're asking if you can connect Capture to the camera using your cellular data, the answer there is no. The connection is by wifi.
Might be a good idea to reset your camera's wifi and password. Instructions are at gopro.com/help/articles/Block/How-to-Reset-the-Camera-s-Wi-Fi-Name-and-Password.
If you're not seeing that setting, the best thing to do is to update your firmware on your camera. I always recommend doing a manual update. Instructions for doing a manual update on every GoPro camera can be found at gopro.com/update/.
Aira F Where are you having the issue? Is it getting the wireless connection turned on on you Session, or are you able to do that but not find the wireless signal on your phone? We can try to help here, and the GoPro Support team can help too.
Jeff Terrell yea i could not find the wireless signal. Couldn't find the GPxxx from wifi settings. Tried factory reset, uninstalling the app but still couldn't find it.
Aira F Got it. If you're able to turn the wireless connection on on your Session (you'll see the wireless signal next to the battery indicator on the screen when you press the button on the back of the camera) but aren't seeing the signal on your phone, try turning wifi and Bluetooth on your phone off and then back on again. That should reset the signal and hopefully you'll see it then. If not, the only other solution I can think of is that the camera is having an issue sending out its signal. Doing a manual reset on the camera's firmware can help with that. Instructions are at the bottom of the page at gopro.com/update/hero5_session.
You can have more than one GoPro in the listing in the app so switching between your cameras is really easy, but you can't control more than one camera at a time using the app. To control multiple cameras simultaneously, the best option is the GoPro Smart Remote.
If you're getting different instructions, you may be using an older version of the firmware on the camera. Try doing a manual update. Instructions are at gopro.com/update/hero5_session. If that doesn't resolve it, try turning the wifi and the bluetooth off and then back on on your phone's settings to reset those connections.
Jeff Terrell thanks for the fast reply. I'm an idiot that's the problem lol. I have the hero session NOT the 5. I was selecting 5. Once I hit session it connected no issues

Jeff Terrell I cant find the app the update
i know I am pretty off topic but does anyone know a good website to stream new movies online?
@Connor Korbin Lately I have been using flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Braydon Micah definitely, have been using Flixzone for since march myself :)
does this app still exist
I have problem! When I push the button I don’t have here connection settings. Only enter photo mode, camera settings, app, rc and exit. I need to connect my GoPro with my new mobile, I restarted WiFi on GoPro and deleted GoPro app on my old phone. I don’t know what to do. Can you help me please?

@@JeffTerrellMr Terrell what if I want to control 2 hero session 5 at the same time?
And whats the range on the live streaming on your phone ???
It depends on a number of factors - distance, other signals causing interference, obstacles, etc. I’ve had good luck in the 20-50 foot range.
Hi, after a few months using my Hero somehow it got disconfigured and I can´t connect again! also my camera setting keeps going back to Night mode, how coud I probably reinstall the system again? thank you
It's funny I was able to do all this without reading or watching video instructions . It's only after that I came on TH-cam to watch them .
Great info...

@@JeffTerrell thank you Jeff! Now I understand!
Thank you
Thank you so much
For some reason this app isn’t on the App Store? Which app is it?
The app to use now is the GoPro Quik app.
Thank you :)
does it work the same with the lower model of Gopro Session? thanks
It should be basically the same. I did this walkthrough a couple of years ago, so there may be some slight differences as the app or camera's firmware have been updated since then.
Cual es el numero de pin predeterminado de una gopro session 4
nice tutorial
thank you!!
Plz Sher Capture App link
The Capture app isn't around anymore. The GoPro Quik app is the one to use. The process has changed some over the past few years though.
Will this work for cellular data

When I try to connect using the wifi, right after choosing the "GoPro App" it's comes up with id: and password: but doesn't show either of them
Might be a good idea to reset your camera's wifi and password. Instructions are at gopro.com/help/articles/Block/How-to-Reset-the-Camera-s-Wi-Fi-Name-and-Password.
everytime I open the app it says can't connect to your camera or its loading and never connects. any tips on how to fix it?
Try turning on/off your wifi and bluetooth on the phone to refresh the connection.
Thank you for the reply but I ended up returning it and I got the hero black 5. No issues with that one.
I don't have connection settings on my cam what can I do?

The wifi won't show up my device? There's no wifi signal for my go pro. Someone please help me

Jeff Terrell how does the wireless signal looks like any pic? Im experiencing the same problem. Tq
Aira Kay any solutions to fixing it?
can i conect more than one GP?

my camera has different settings!! it asks for app pairing like it wants to use Bluetooth but wont give me wifi connection instructions!! wtf??

Glad it worked out.
Worst app and directions ever. None of this worked.
Doesn't work any more sadly. The new GoPro app is shit...
You should get old app version
Y sck
You have to be a computer Guru to make one of these work . I don't recommend it .
Sorry GoPro not for me
