Younger athletes now has their era right now, maybe. But there is one and only Yuzuru Hanyu. Imagine, he sacrificed Olympic gold in Beijing for 4axel. Means gold is not really important always to him but to achieve his goal. And who motivates younger athletes to execute that axel, is it not Yuzuru? Who keeps pushing himself with that axel and so many are inspired by him with that 4axel. Even that 4axel had done already by new athletes, it is really different when Yuzuru Hanyu will be the one to successfully landed that 4axel, because his execution of each elements, step sequence, artistry and others is out of this world! Perfection! Superb! Sublime! And Legend! Period! That is Hanyu San of Figure Skating! I also mention Arthur Dmitriev in 4axel, very good. This is my opinion. I don’t mean to argue with anybody. Nobody skates like Yuzuru Hanyu!❤peace!

Es más importante su salud física y mental, a mí también se me hace difícil saber que Yuzuru ya no competirá, pero su deporte ya no lo merece. La ISU fue muy injusta con Yuzuru, impuso su "campeón" y a Yuzuru lo dejo en segundo lugar, cómo si esto fuera posible, Yuzuru siempre fue y será el mejor. Si Yuzuru seguía compitiendo la ISU pondría a Ilia siempre en primer lugar y a Yuzuru lo seguirían calificando bajo. Es mejor que Yuzuru sea feliz haciendo sus shows donde es libre de hacer lo que quiera y dónde el público reconoce su talento ❤️

I love his competitive spirit which is balanced with positive attitude. All the competitors need to be competitive and everyone knows that. He voices it out, but you can see from his interactions with others he doesn't mean malice and loves to interact with them. Just in this video, he showed competitiveness to Javier, but they are close friends. Also, props to others for taking it professionally and kindly.
