I wouldn't really look too much into that since it's obvious that they couldn't do a standalone project alone, which is where the "collaboration" with other studios comes in like they mentioned before. They clearly said they are working on multiple projects but those projects will necessarily not be just by themselves but with other studios like Studio Trigger just as an example. Konami Animation for now is mainly suited for collaborative projects to add finishing touches so it isn't set in stone that we won't get a lore anime announcement and that we might end up still getting at least one announced during Jump Festa. That one piece of information isn't that much to go off of if we're being honest. I think we might still get lore anime at Jump Festa but who knows. It is very vague.
A lore anime never had a shot at coming right now. Yu-gi-oh has always limited itself to one series at a time to this point and the studio is still too young to go full force. The short was basically a tech demo of what they can do, not what they will do(Kinda like how gaming tech demos always look more impressive than 90+% of actual releases). Besides that Konami really does not care about Yu-gi-oh outside of the card sales and videogames. They still own the international destribution license for the existing anime and they are still showing us the L in regards to anime in general, look at how other languages never even got a Vrains dub or official subs for anything, even tho they would only license it out and wouldn't have to do any of the work.
Yeah, this is not good… I feel this is going to piss off a lot of people. For anyone following Konami Animation or even if you've been following their staff since they made the chronicles project the fact that they are a small studio geared towards support was very apperent. All the projects they've done so far have been done with outside help. For Chronicles for example they did the general planning for the project but the rest of the pipline was just outsourced to places like JC Staff and AtoriE I still do think they'll be making small PVs like the recent structure deck commercial, OPs and other lore based shorts like Dylan said.
I expected them not doing a lore anime if they still want to, first they should go where the pokemon jp channel went to, having short videos about pokemon's daily life with their trainers (like that slugma one) or a battle focus (like the 2 wild charcadet), like they can just have a short episode with the monster's point of view in their lore like when Kamui is running away while carrying the baby(Pirika) during the Verz/Evilswarm Infestation delivering just how horrible that event was
I think it’s way more likely that they make an anime adaptation of the OCG Stories Sky Striker manga before they make a full lore anime. It’s going to do well if they did do it and they already switched to the Magistus story so it’s also complete too.
I mean, at least on my part, I knew that this relatively new Animation Studio wouldn't be in a position to make a complete Lore Anime (it would be killing what you had started) However, that doesn't stop them from making small projects like OVAs or Animated Shorts. In fact, if you want to tell the Lore of the Archetypes, you can use these OVAs: they don't usually last long and are condensed. Pokemon does something similar: it uses small Animation Studios to create Shorts or small Stories that you can see on TH-cam or some special Channel.
That's not bad news, that's literally how every animation studios starts. Mappa started as a support/backup studio for.. Ufotable(?) I think, just as an example.

I could see an announcement for it at Jump Festa. I also agree that the lore Anime won't replace the mainstream Anime and will probably run simultaneously. Whatever the case, they have enough archetypes for at least a few Seasons depending on how many episodes they do per Season and such, like 8-10 episode Seasons would probably allow them to do like 5 Seasons or something.
Do you count her win and loss during arc 6? If so, her on screen record I believe is 11-7. If you don’t count arc 6, her record is 10-6. Regardless she has the best duel record for any girl and the only one who has cracked double digit wins. I 100% agree that if go rush season 3 were to happen, no girl character is coming close anytime soon.
I hope so, I think she might get 1 more duel in the series if it ends with season 3 but Yuamu's character and Dueling Style have really warmed to me. I think the only way this record is beaten is if there is a female protag in the future, which I have doubt for tbh.
I feel like we'll get Yu-Gi-Oh 9th anyway. Funnily enough, I'm one of those people who doesn't see a GO RUSH's Season 4 happening (considering that SEVENS also had material for a Season 3, but it ended in Season 2) I'm more in favor of that Yu-Gi-Oh 9th continuing with the plots we'll see in GO RUSH and its Ending (Season 3's Ending already seems to give a glimpse of the end of GO RUSH)
I don't think a whole anime production is viable or profitable enough endeavor. I do think they can do something like visual novels (they do employ a buttload of artists for card art to begin with). This way they have a product they can market and we get lore for archetypes we care about. People would be inclined to have a physical copy of it, like how concept/art books are liked.

@@davigabriel783I liked 5D’s I still can’t believe they ended Vrains to soon just to make Sevens, Season 3 of Vrains only had short episodes, what the heck were they thinking?
@@gerardorodriguez7500 Considering how much production problems Vrains anime had, it was not surprising that they decided to end early
@@davigabriel783 well that’s one of Japan’s biggest mistakes, I’m starting to think is Losing their touch, I mean they ended Urusei Yatsura 2022 to soon, they didn’t even remade the other episodes like Episode 82, I’m starting to think they’ll do the same for Ranma 1/2 2024 series with just 1 season, I’m stating to lose interest in Anime if they’re gonna make short seasons for now on
Yu-gi-oh has been bleeding international engagement for a long time and it is 100% not the fault of changing trends or the western fanbase(Even if the responce to Zexal as a whole was kinda scuffed, people over here really hated it despite it being really popular in japan), it is just not managed well. Other languages just don't even get half the material that english and japanese audiences get.
Aura with the pride flag is being very prideful lol as in the animation world currently it's cheaper to out source it then make it in house
I want a lore anime or even an anime series featuring just the monsters.
I really don’t want an anime that’s based on the card game anymore because early Yu-Gi-Oh just made stuff up and modern Yugioh is too complicated. They can have a high school anime featuring the different variations of dark magician and magician girl and vaguely WITCH monsters. Something like Harry Potter or little witch academia. I think TrickStars could be cheerleaders or a school Idols like a LoveLive. Maybe just outside of the school there’s a Forest of Death filled with bugs and the undead Maybe that’s where the Traptricks. The goblin attack force could be the football team And Punks are the school bullies
So Konami animation is worthless
As long as it's not another Rush Anime considering the fact it rebooted everything Kazuki Takahashi gave us.. normal summoning more than once in a single turn? And drawing 5 cards every turn? 😔💢😡 Sorry not sorry but the protagonist of Sevens ruined everything despite it being a spin off
At least it is better than set a monster and trap and end your turn like all caveman YGO
Stop crying
So pendulum didn't ruined everything?, links didn't ruined everything? Sound like a butthurt Rush hater if you ask me
@@jjasuka what I'm referring to is the era of fusion summoning ritual summoning Synchro summoning and XYZ summoning the Era between Dm - Zexal especially 5DS considering it was a chef's kiss I will admit pendulums can be toxic and links are just the matter of playing solitaire considering I've dealt with a few link summoners that took 10 minutes for a single turn anyways the classic era of Yu-Gi-Oh the days where Special Summons were ya know.. Special or when the plot was focused on the millennium items, the god cards and card games on motorcycles that stuff
Using AI, they will ygo 10
I'm not interested in a lore anime. But I would be interested in an anime based on the manga that plays actual yugioh. ( I forgot the name of it)
OCG Structures. I honestly fine if that manga was not animated since is just slice of life with people playing meta decks
When will there be a new part of Yugioh?
if nothing is out of the norm in april or so, we will get confirmation next week
