Hey I’ve been really into watching planet zoo videos for a while now and I really love your builds! I also think it’d be cool to see a time lapse of you building everything but other than that your video is really good.
This would be an amazing backdrop for the otters. Currently rewatching your amazing work as I finally have a computer which can cope with Planet Zoo. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
I love the design, great work! Also (warning nerd moment) an aqua-terrarium is more professionally called a paludarium. In-spite of my obnoxious scientific vocabulary, am glad that more people are becoming interested in designing these kinds of setups.
I really appreciate the people who truly think about how their builds and structures would work in person and if things actually make sense AND look pleasing to the eye.
Might not see this comment now, but Imma say it anyway: Good sir! Builds, exhibits, and planning in this game are nice and all but this.. THIS? This is outstanding work. Organic, logical, and very thoughtful design. I've only ever watched you on your Koali Zoo ep2 and already had been captivated by the vision and process. You've a brilliant mind. Truly wish you all the best in your work and hobby and life! Might sound overly dramatic and slightly creepy now but if I could, I'd hit subscribe a thousand times over.
This very much reminds me of my local zoo Burger's Zoo. They have a section there called Burger's Bush which is the same concept and has lots of foliage and various birds free-roaming the exhibit as well as a few gator and tortoise exhibits. It's amazing, really looking forward to the rest of your series!
I've visited Burger's Zoo once when we visited the Netherlands and it was spectacular. Best zoo I've been to. Although another time my grandparents drove us there, took one look at the price, and packed us back in the car and we went somewhere else. Not sure why we didn't look up the price beforehand. :P
Here comes the Zoo series, cant be that good.. wait plants? This will be boring ye? Okay this is more inpressive than anything in planco and I can’t wait for the next episode haha. This is stunning work! You really know your plants well. Would love to see an path with steps going up to that platform like a smaller adventurous path between steep rocks. And ofcourse the rope hoist platform for the disabled because zoo’s have to be wheelchair friendly ya know. Keep up the good work.
I've always loved the concept of how plants can really give a feeling of character or just give a bit of spice to a scenery or build. Yet people didn't really focus on plants. Until I found this channel
If you’re looking for references The Eden project in the UK has a tropical biome that is very similar with elevated paths and a huge waterfall. PS stunning work as always!
You're a botanist by profession? Man, there's no way I can compete with that. I've got a water Lilly house plant called Vito, I struggle weekly to keep him alive.
Wow you are pure inspiration in these games mate. I love it and instantly wanna create something. Really hope to see fish and maybe even sharks etc. in this game.
Very impressive how this came together so quickly on day one.. I repeat myself but your foliage game is on another level, looking forward to following this project.
Amazing! It's just crying out for butterflies, hummingbirds and some tropical fish. If you haven't already done so, you should check out some pictures of Jurong Bird Park in Singapore, especially the "Lory Loft" - I have a feeling it'd be right up your street.
I see stuff I build and at the time i’m like “damn this looks awesome”. I come to TH-cam and see stuff like this and I’m like “well.....never mind than...I’m just not that talented” lol This looks amazing!!!! 💕
Superb build and idea. I've not seen your stuff before and came via a tweet from @Geekism. Lovely build so far. I'd recommend having a look at The Eden Project in the UK, its in lovely Cornwall and is an amazing indoor Botanical Garden. I'm looking forward to seeing where this project takes you.
Hmm, first video that actually made me wanna get the game. The foliage is just so beautiful, its everything that planco is missing! Good job on the rockwork, it looks very realistic! I imagine this place having quite some age to it, so by now vines and small greenery would have gotten its way up the sides of the glass. This could be cool if the game would allow it. As always, love your videos Mike. Can't wait for ep. 2! :)
This is so amazing! You master the art of vegetation like no one else. I'm very excited to see where this is going! My only frustration is that we don't get to see more of the creation process. The building must be very complex, but I am sure it would really benefit from being put in timelapses - or at least, I would enjoy it even more, for sure!
I would love it if they added smaller animals like fish, bees, and termites that had looped animations like the terrarium animals but the only difference is that they wouldn’t be in a terrarium!!! It’d be even cooler if you could take care of them and stuff and they had a large radius of space to go so you wouldn’t have to worry about the animations looking weird!!!
This kinda reminds me of a higher budget Tropical World in Leeds UK, which is basically a giant greenhouse/Botanical Garden, with different climate environments, there's a rainforest, desert, waterfall etc, each with plants and animals from that region. there is a similar one but much smaller and lower budget in Halifax UK too, I went to these loads when i was a kid and still go now. They are my Planet Zoo Inspiration for when I can afford the game, so I'm rather excited by your project.
''if you liked what you saw today...'' if-IF!? WHO IS NOT LIKING THIS!!!??? Holy s*it Mike you are talented! This isn't even planet zoo anymore… this is planet AMAZE EVRYONE TO THE POINT OF INFERIORITY COMPLEX.
You could have the rocks as one of the first things guests see and then have the guests gradually work their way up to the elevated platform halfway through the gardens
This is beautiful! I really hope they add some pure aquatic species (planet aquarium is my dream) I adore aquascaping and this is just my absolute favourite
Mike. To soften the outside, perhaps building smaller connected greenhouses could work. Similar to the US Botanical Garden Conservatory. Excellent start!
I don't have much knowledge about zoos, but I really want this game anyway just for the scenery and lighting, plus architectural potential! I ain't rich, but $45 is $45 😂
woooooooow, this is stunning!! So excited to see where you take this game. Does anything like this exist irl?? The Cloud Forest in Singapore is all that I can think of. My only input would be to sink the entire structure a bit underground so it's not so massively tall from the outside.
@@ilyxr Yeah his videos are very satisfying. I like the jungle one he did the most, not sure how easy it would be to make those vines in PZ tho. Amazing video as always.
Was it Serpa Design that you watched for inspiration? If not, check them out! Great first episode! I knew you were going to do amazing things with all the foliage we have.
There should be a DLC that specializes your zoo either as a botanical garden with butterflies and stuff or an aquarium
If i worked at frontier i would definitely try to implement that!
Its better do the same things at the same time without specializes
Looks so realistic, almost a shame that there are no fish swimming in the pool
Builds something incredible and beautiful
Guests : The view is ok I guess
Hey I’ve been really into watching planet zoo videos for a while now and I really love your builds! I also think it’d be cool to see a time lapse of you building everything but other than that your video is really good.
Aw yis! Was just going to bed, but this dropped. I am excite.
As a research zoologist, this is the content I've been dying to get from a YT'ber. My inner nerd is fully satisfied.
This would be an amazing backdrop for the otters.
Currently rewatching your amazing work as I finally have a computer which can cope with Planet Zoo. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
Uhm. That looks absolutely stellar! Wow ! Can´t wait to see more Mike!
Woah this is beautiful Mike ♥ LOVE IT!!!

I love that you know what they're more professionally called - nerdism FTW!
It’s official, Mike Sheets is the king of the “Planet” series.
I really appreciate the people who truly think about how their builds and structures would work in person and if things actually make sense AND look pleasing to the eye.
This game has seriously allowed so many people to come out and create beautiful things. This is amazing!
This is absolutely stunning. Insect inclusion in a DLC would be cool.
they should do a dlc for butterflies so you can do a butterfly garden
Dude I can literally smell and feel the humidity of this space. It’s coming through my screen. Can’t wait to see where (if) this goes!
This is so beautiful!!! You could do, like, a 1 hour version of ambience sound with this as the background and I would watch it on repeat!
It looks perfect for a butterfly house. Wish Frontier would include free roaming animals like local bird-, insects-, small mammals- and fish species.
WoW, just wow. butterflies and fish would make a great addition to the species collection, especially if you could mix species as you can bision etc.

@@warb_of_fire Yeah the prices at Burger's has increased quite a bit over the years haha. Still is my go to zoo though whenever I want to visit one.

This. Is. Incredible. I am almost embarrassed about my Planet Zoo videos now. You have earned a new sub.
This build is insane! Definitely inspired to build my own green house outside of my zoo.
there's people who build in planet games, and then there's people who *build* in planet games. just found your channel but i'm already entranced!
I've always loved the concept of how plants can really give a feeling of character or just give a bit of spice to a scenery or build. Yet people didn't really focus on plants.
Until I found this channel
I'm a botanical nerd, what can I say? haha.
Oh, I love plants so much. I’m excited for this series.
this is amazing!
This is beautiful! Foliage is so important to create immersive zoos 😍

Damn man! Freaking spectacular start! Can already tell this is going to be one of my favorite series
Very impressive how this came together so quickly on day one.. I repeat myself but your foliage game is on another level, looking forward to following this project.
Wow, that looks verry impressiv and realistic!! Great job!

That looks incredible! Really makes you appreciate all the things you can do in the game and also gives a lot of inspiration.
Well, what is there to say. Looks great, smells great, sounds great.
This looks like The Rainforest building I was talking to you about last night, except your version is on steroids! Wow!
If they ever add fish to this game (like aquarium style).....this would be cool as hell to put them in.
Absolutely stunning, reminds me of the Steinhardt Conservatory in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens
I love how you block the view to the guests with the Tamarind to keep you 'in' the environment. Great start man. I love this!
Plus that little area under the tamarind. That is some amazing coverage of a small area.
FISH DLC will come !! Very very amazing Mr.mike. good job.
Geeking out right there with you, man. Looking amazing 🙌🏻
I see stuff I build and at the time i’m like “damn this looks awesome”.

I will keep that in mind in more complex builds! This glass cover was surprisingly easy - a lot of the pieces just work really well in Zoo.
@@ilyxr It seems so! But yeah, I found the updates to be a bit abrupt because the changes were so big every time. Anyway, keep up the great work!

This reminds me of the entrance to the Baltimore Aquarium. It looks really nice.
Loved the build, looking forward to the next one!!
Wow dude. Just wow. Simply amazing work. I love it!

jesus, your introduction woke me up, i had headphones on
Remember masked saying in a Planet BC episode that you will go bananas wen planZoo will drop... This is beautiful!
This is incredible! Wow!
Amazing work!
Oh my the details in this are incredible (already)! :o

This looks amazing :) can't wait to see what else you come up with!
I didnt know there was a sequel to Planet Zoo. :P
Looks really lovely :D
This is sick
I'm overwhelmed at the size of it
Mike. To soften the outside, perhaps building smaller connected greenhouses could work. Similar to the US Botanical Garden Conservatory. Excellent start!
colored lights in the waterfalls for at night, along with other small lights well placed in the plants and trees.
AMAZING doesn’t come close to the work you have done here.
Wooohooo miiike is back! Niiiiiice! 👌

Bingo! Yeah that's exactly what I thought I should do once I have my estate better set up. You guys are on fire with the suggestions!
YEs!! im waiting for a botanical garden simulator/tycoon or even just a regular garden/park one :DD
Gawtdamn, that's beautiful.
Loved it. Quite impressed! You said you are a plant nerd by profession. What is your job if you don't mind me asking?
Perfection...
How am just now hearing about you. Very very amazing.
my plant\simulation game dreams also came true with this game!
Mike uploads video. I click.
This is awesome it would be cool if you had short timelapses between each stage
We need to teach you about speed builds! This looks so amazing
lol... "intoxicating aroma" ... way to make plants sound inappropriate. Creep. Great series...I guess.
Are you playing the same game I'm playing? Unreal. Great job.
I knew I recognised your voice! You are part of koali zoo
Duuudeee 😱 this is sooooo fcking beautiful 🥰🥰 i cant belive
Love this! Any lighting for nighttime?
Not yet, but that will be something I include in a few gardens!
Hey I watch that aqua terrarium guy aswell!
Isn't he absolutely INCREDIBLE? His videos are what i imagine people who do asmr are into. So peacful during the build!
@@ilyxr Yeah his videos are very satisfying. I like the jungle one he did the most, not sure how easy it would be to make those vines in PZ tho. Amazing video as always.
Oh and for anybody wondering the channel is 植物男子 Asu (th-cam.com/channels/zkjgi_ssPh82uiro89uvNA.html)
Lol, that casual display of cruelty towards that poor, stranded staff member all alone on that platform, stuck. At least they have a beautiful view
Hey Mike, I have seen a video or two where you discuss landscape design, I am looking for more of that. Do you have anymore that I may have missed ?
Was it Serpa Design that you watched for inspiration? If not, check them out! Great first episode! I knew you were going to do amazing things with all the foliage we have.
@MikeSheets do you watch Serpa Design as well?
I would love to See you Build a Orang Utan exhibit
Its been a really long time, but there at least used to be something very similar at the Cleveland Zoo
I know i am late, but consider me hooked, :)
Will you be adding this to the workshop?
is this somewhere on the workshop? :)
