well done to haribo and christina for enduring this 26 minute praise fest. i would not be able to cope. and of course absolutely supreme work so it's well deserved. every sightline is a masterclass.
This might be the best thing I’ve seen in the game. Unbelievable. Also, I spent so long trying to make Chinese rock work for my own Chinese garden and gave up but these two nailed it of course 😅
Geeze....Planet Botanic making me care about plants for 26 minutes--that's quite an accomplishment. Huge shout to all the creators. Just stunning. Zoo can look absolutely beautiful when in the right hands. Great job.
Brilliant work! The whole team on this garden took the Huntington Library garden in a creative direction while also capturing the picturesque quality of the original (which is mostly composed around key views as opposed to being explored as you guys mentioned). For the real life garden, significant work went into creating an accurate depiction of 18th century Japan. The architecture was original to that period then dissembled piece by piece and shipped to the Huntington to be rebuilt. So because of that, the buildings follow the proportioning of the ken unit system that links up floor plans with tatami mat coverings. Fences and gates at the garden however are simply regular lumber artistically aged with blow torches to match the original architecture.
The range of emotions you feel when you watch this level of work and craftsmanship is astonishing. Haribo and Christina really have mastered it all and each build feels more stunning than the next and just when you think they have reached the top of the mountain, something like this drops where they just make the mountain taller and climb to the top again.. so so so good!
Im so happy to have a mini "through the lense" in the end. While the work is obviously stunning, a also highly appreciate your talent in finding these beautiful shots like 25:13. So happy to see Planet Botanic again
I love how somehow each new vantage point of the same area, they've managed to partially obscure the other viewing areas, so you still feel like you're enjoying peaceful solitude on your own

This video and the park needs more recognition
Seeing a new Mike sheets video is like finding the holy grail. Took a lifetime & an entire life’s savings but when you see it, it’s all worth it

Wouldn't have thougt to see another episode of Planet Botanic, but here it is and it's stunning ❤
This is absolutely stunning! The details are so good. Beautiful work ❤
So many gorgeous shots, so many beautiful things to look at-I am absolutely speechless!
Another episode of planet botanic? I didn't think I'd live the day to see that. But I am glad you came around to continue the series!
Just when I thought I was getting good at Planet Zoo I see this...... *sigh*. This is so great.
At 3min in I'm already blown away! Maybe I'm biased but this is the best "Zoo" project out there
Fantastic episode of Planet jaw dropping! 👍👍👍
I literally was thinking about this series **today**, and lo and behold! A new episode! Thank you so much
Can we make “Oh my god” a drinking game? It might kill us though. lol
Simply inspiring. Amazing work.
Give me lots of Portland Japanese Garden vibes. ❤
Also gonna call you out on the first 4 minutes where you referred to a Schefflera as umbrella palm.
@otterlord5906 i was legit referring to cyperus alternifolius - but Schefflera is a more apt comparison
You really went to town on these cinematics, love it 😁
I accidentally jumped into the series on this video and holy hell, this is next level.
Extraordinary!
THIS. This is the blueprint.
**update: Not me thinking I was blacking out before the cinematic started. Lol
HOLY SHIT
Literally.
