The more I hear of Mr. Fripp's seriousness, the more I enjoy his youtube presence. Thank you sir, as much for that as well as for your music.

I think that many people think Robert “takes himself too seriously”. I don’t think he does, but he does take himself seriously and affords his questioners the courtesy of taking their questions seriously and giving serious answers.

I wasn’t feeling the love at the first performance of Frippertronics in my city. Apparently Robert wasn’t going to play until whomever in the lecture theatre with a recording device unless they showed it to Robert. Obviously no recordings or photos allowed. No one presented a device. About 30 minutes afterwards Robert played some sounds. By that time I’d moved about ten rows back. What was gained, and what was lost? Thankfully what was listed was regained through the intermission and the hibiscus tea shared and listening to Robert converse with a few gregarious souls. Glib conversations and people making connections. It’s what life is about in the sunset years, as we see here. The reason as to why no photos or recordings? Greed? Something spiritual? Fear and protections of integrity and protecting intellectual properties/ownership. Sure. Competition is on, go for it. I won’t be participating in the competition, I did move back from my front and centre seat away from the seriousness and the sound of it verbalized imho

what could be inappropriate in handling serious matters with the seriousness they necessitate, regardless of what external observers might insinuate ?
that being said, the statement about hope is really beautiful...
thank you for sharing those Qs & As ! 🙏🌠

"Love is the invisible glue which holds the universe together"
This, one of the Guitar Craft Aphorism's - possibly points us in a direction towards where music comes from, which to me - I actually thought that was a very very good thoughtful question which Robert was asked while in Japan in 2003, and although Robert's immediate response reminded me of The Lady of The Tiger? at the same time I felt Robert's answer was most appropriate.
But when Robert got back on to the question of taking one's self too seriously, that's when I knew without a doubt that Robert's life experiences has brought him to a level of greater understanding than many of us could ever hope to reach.

. Most people say what they know. I am wondering how many his thoughts mr Robert censors from presenting. I see/ hear his is doing quite effort to decide what he says. But I am happy to listen from him.

Watching Robert in the film and in these videos..I sense he may perhaps have been listening to Ram Dass as his mannerisms and centering himself as he speaks reminds me of him.

You may be speaking from your heart or personal experience . If referring to his, after spending a week with him in Lunlunta, Argentina I can safely say he is egoless and driven by the music, and love only.

I'm exist and I'm not exist in the same time like shrodinger's cat. I'm exist in my life in my art in my consciousness. but I'm not exist when this all are appropriated by abusers in this situation my personality is stolen.
