As a former case worker and retired nurse for PLHIV I give you huge kudos. The 80's and 90's were a terrible time for PLHIV. They are somewhat better now due to effective drugs, but their is an air of complacency now with preventive therapy. Condoms do sooo much to prevent STD's as well as HIV transmission. Kudos big time, guys!
As a non-partying gay, I think I found my *clique* with the community service center. I feel like I can relate more now lol. Not much going on in my private life, but I would still like to be a listening ear for someone and pass on what I learned
KDさんの最後のまとめが素晴らしかった!!やや目立ち気味の作業服や緑のTシャツでDELIVERY BOYSやaktaの存在を知ってもらう事も二丁目の健康維持につながるんですね。 Andrew & Meng, I appreciated your effort in featuring akta's services again :)
This was cute and you guys deserve a round of applause for donating your time to such a good cause. Meng can be quite competitive. Or is that only when it comes to Andrew? He is also his own biggest critic. 7 out of 10? Not even. 9 out of 10 was reasonable but I think 10 out of 10 was also a possibility. Give yourself more credit Meng.
If anyone needs testing or is worried about STI related health issues, I totally recommend the Shirakaba Clinic In Akebonobashi - very close to Ni-chome. 100% gay friendly clinic that opens Wednesday to Friday afternoon and evenings and usual hours on Saturday AND Sunday. Plus they are a really good general medical practice. I’ve only ever seen male patients there though there are a few female staff.
There should be a pouch of condoms in each toilet stall or by the hand dryer. And the bar counter can have something like a sample display tray or a calendar showing which designs are older or more recent.
Thank you very much for the help you provided this wonderful organization! Education and prevention are the key, and I pray everyone in the community pays attention to the warnings; science has come so far but there is always more to be done, and always take precautions! I had gay friends who didn't make it past the eighties and I will never forget how many were disowned by their families and many friends, it was a horrendous time I don't ever want to see again. 😢🙏 EVERYONE needs to be careful, diseases do not discriminate, so listen to the people who know! Please protect yourselves!🤗💗
Strongly agree. I love the episodes where they are learning from our predecessors the most. I always find it fascinating how we ended up at this point and enjoy hearing the context of how it was established. And he's got cute boss energy too.
I spent a lot of time in ni-chome in the 80s and then again in the 90s. Happy to see Kusuo (one of the bars I frequented) and also happy that you guys are spreading information about PREP, STIs, etc. Fun video!
Thank you for your job today. It is very meaningful. Totally agree that condom itself is not the key point but starting a conversation about STD prevention is much more imperative.
This is a little late, but thanks guys for all you do❤ Shout out to Andrew for rock-in those overalls, grrrrrrr…he can stop my door anytime with a handful of condoms😂🎉❤
10:00 Having been in cities in the US and the rampant jaywalking, seeing the nearly 99% adherence to the crosswalk signs in all the major Japanese cities I visited this year was amazing. I began feeling so out of place taking a very safe jaywalk that I simply stopped looking/thinking and just waited with the crowds!
I did HIV/AIDS outreach work in the 90s in San Francisco and Phoenix, and this brought back so many memories. Yes, your showing up is the work; the condoms and pamphlets are symbolic. And, of course, your video about the work helps continue the work.
Great Video, I loved all the little bars. I used to climb the staircase of a small gay bar in London in the '90s, I'm surprised I never fell down them on my way out.
The bartender at DONPAN was cute! But that bar is the size of my closet. I’m 6 feet 3 inches built like an American football player, I can’t fit in like 80% of the bars in Nichome 😅😅 This was a great vid and I commend TOKYO BTM for their service!
I developed a crush on KD-san at the end of the video?? On a separate note, I was hoping for more snazzy merch from this channel-you are tackling Japan+Lgbt! Your shirts should have endless possibilities!!! I will definitely get myself one if ever! The AKTA shirts look so cute already!
> Good for you guys - this was fun, and the community loves you - and i think Andrew looks fierce in that jumpsuit - i did take a condom from Eagle Blue when i was there last April ~
it's kinda wild that this video of 3 men going from bar to bar giving out sex ed info and condoms is the closest thing I've seen as an adult to a Mr. Rodgers episode. makes me wanna visit :)
I think I could see that you were uncomfortable being a delivery boy even though you looked great! However I think it's so important that TH-cam influencers get involved in so called 'community' support initiatives because Tokyo BTM carries a certain amount of gravitas now and does get people talking about the subject. It also gives Tokyo BTM kudos in the local community. So don't give up the idea of serving the 'community' in future in some fashion or other as I do feel it benefits your local community and your audience and benefits yourselves too.....a little bit of pain but a lot to gain. 😉😘
Syphilis is on the rise here in Ohio too. I saw a sign on a Canton, OH bus today, two lovely bearded men embracing, it read, "give them everything, except syphilis."
Wouldn't it be more effective if bar owners were like "hey it's free..take one or 2". I don't know how often they pass them out but if it's on a weekly basis then isn't it a waste if no one dares take one ? KD is the man.
A great content, Was japan few weeks ago and people did more bareback than I usually am used to even ( on dark rooms and saunas ). You will see foreign people have condom or lube onhand but didn't see much Japanese guys have. As it was nice to be adventurous , health and safety should come first.
It's a shame more in the community don't volunteer to do this, as it would be immensely helpful to the project and wider sexual health of the population especially if people like gogo boys and porn actors spread the message. That being said, I will always admire Japanese culture at how polite and courteous everyone is in addition to the bar owners being receptive at spreading awareness. You were very personable Andrew! Meng stop blushing when hot guys are near because you'd make for a good correspondent/reporter on gay news & topics.
It's logic that they don't grab a condom when they go to a bar, the reason to go to a bar is to have fun, encounter new people... perhaps it's more likely they ll grab in sex clubs or sauna s? Would it make a difference if u handle it out on the streets in daylight? 🤔 Overall u both did a good job 👍👍👍 xx
"Your presence today in itself brought value", that's such a good line! Props to KD-san, that should be on a t-shirt or marketing material for AKTA.
That was so great to get that firsthand perspective on community outreach in the 90s and what it takes to still be involved today.

Thank you so much for your service 👏🏼💕
@@sugar_shohei thanks. It was gratifying and horrifying simultaneously
Disease prevention is so admirable. Thank you for this very important video. Not frivolous at all though presented with fun and humour!
I adoreeee that cute bear guy!!! He is so gentle and attentive!!! Cute boy!!!
He is cute and sexy!
@@justy93❤❤❤ very hot 🔥
Yeah he's handsome and quite the sweetheart. I loved how he told it like it was and was polite to everyone. Politeness is one an underrated attribute.
As a non-partying gay, I think I found my *clique* with the community service center.
I feel like I can relate more now lol.

I am very happy with this clip. Community service is really a good work.
Community service is so important, especially spreading information. ❤
I think Andrew's found his look!

Andrew is giving Tokyo Top Energy
Yeah! my handsome buddy Mitsuo is featured. I had no idea he was at the vanguard of HIV awareness in Japan 😍

Meng makes such a cute delivery boy xx

Please Visit the small Art Bar with the snacks again you can title it "worlds smallest gay Bar" I think it would do well and the owner seemed so sweet
I have high esteem to this kind of service to the community bringing awareness and education. Well done guys and to AKTA!
Omg now i want to volunteer too in that lgbt center, seems like fun ❤❤❤❤ good job bottoms!!
This video was awesome! Distributing condoms sounds like my kind of pilgrimage. 👏🏽
Great work, delivery boys! The 3 of you are an inspiration.
5:36 oh that man is fineeeeeee 🥵 with the deep voice too... can we interview him again? 👉👈😳
Strongly agree. I love the episodes where they are learning from our predecessors the most. I always find it fascinating how we ended up at this point and enjoy hearing the context of how it was established. And he's got cute boss energy too.
What great video guys I love watching you going to the multiple bars and interacting with the bar owners. Keep up the good work guys
13:58 UNBOTHERED QUEEN 👸
Enjoyed this cute video
This was a great video and is a great community service project. Thank you!
I love the shade thrown at waiting at the crosswalk when nobody was around 🙃 😄 💅🏽

The bar owner with the goatee and apron was really hot 😍, really friendly too! Great job, you guys. That's trully important work.

Fukushima-san ans all the bar masters/managers in this episode are so cute X//3

Well done Andrew, not 'Ghost Busters' but 'Safe Sex Busters'! You looked great and I thought did really well! 😘
This is one of your best episodes yet ❤
Loved this video, educational and entertaining. Great content guys!!
OMG, I've been to AiiRO Cafe this August. That's so sweet
Great Video, I loved all the little bars. I used to climb the staircase of a small gay bar in London in the '90s, I'm surprised I never fell down them on my way out.
I love you guys but i click faster than ever when i see KD san in the thumbnail 😂
this was so fun and informative! i hope you can touch on procedure for hiv testing and prep/pep medication in japan.
Now this is something I could get behind! Awesome, guys
So many cute bears!

this was way better than the community service they had to do in Ab Fab.
I developed a crush on KD-san at the end of the video??

Loved seeing the community in this video!
Yass serving the ✨ community ✨

I love your hedonistic punk energy Meng. This was a joy to watch. Thank you for your awesome work 🙏🙏🙏
Meng: “So, it’s my turn to do the delivery boy.”
Me: “You do you.”
great community work, well done.
Congratulations on 103 patrons.
Syphilis is on the rise here in Ohio too. I saw a sign on a Canton, OH bus today, two lovely bearded men embracing, it read, "give them everything, except syphilis."
I love this!
I miss Japan! gotta get back there... anyone need a dance teacher? I teach quite a few different styles.
I can perform too.
Good on you for helping out the community. Plus your outfits looked cute!
Thank you!! 😊
Proud of you! 😘

applauding Ming for tamping down on his internal cringe at all the times yall had to say 'community' in this vid
1:49 If it was in pink, it’d be like recreating ‘Barbie’.

Great Initiative! Are all these places LGBT bars? Do you also remove or advise to remove condoms in the box that are past their expiry date?
There's something so cute about Andrew speaking japanese ❤
Meng 🤝 Me
Distracted by hot people when doing something important.
Is being a top a form of community service?
wait, andrew got buff?

Lets keep it real, people dont prep because they wear condoms. They should, but they don't.
Ok but the title though 👀
Acceptable click bait
U=Uって教えしない?
It’s probably intentional but 名前大丈夫そ?💀😂
