This is one of the most beautiful poems written by H.H. Pope Shenouda III in year 1946, before he even became a monk. The poem was written in eloquent formal Arabic but was never completed, and H.H left it with a note, "It has not been completed yet, and its writer (referring to himself) wanted it to remain until it was completed, but it is alright if you, dear reader, want to complete it, if God's grace permits it"

The word "stranger" can be also translated as "alien" and the word "guest" can be translated as "sojourner"
Honestly, the translation does not do this masterpiece justice, but we have tried.
