Seriously, this will be worth your time.
I am 12 cards away from completing 72. That set is a monster and you get hit with double whammy’s because there is double the HOF with the “In Action” cards😂
One of the best episodes on any format. Collection was beyond amazing.
Thanks for watching!
I don't typically get in awe of robust collections because they tend to be unorganized and hard to digest, but WOW.... the organization, detail, and diversity is so awesome to see... time to get a museum in your back yard lol! Amazing to see!
I totally agree!
As Ben talks, you can just feel the passion on every single item he picks up. His knowledge of what every piece represents is incredible. Thanks for letting Chasing Cardboard share your collection with all of us. Great episode.
Well said!
The intentionality of this man and his faith are inspiring. Plus, we are big time into the same founders, authors and pastors. GREAT episode, I'm blessed that you steered from cards for a few minutes. And then what the heck with the cards. This collection just keeps giving.
When a streaming network inevitably picks you up, this episode could clinch it.
I was going to say the same thing@@mikeweaver71
Good to hear. Thanks for watching!
What can you say about this collection, Holy C#@$%&. It's the stuff that is just great to see ever if you can't have it. It is so impressive impressive
Wow you guys are so luck to find things that are our past the art of on the cards if they could tell a story its like time travel into our past. 😮
This is single handedly the coolest collection I've ever seen in my life.
Thanks for watching!
The collection was insane, but the knowledge Ben had for history is the most amazing part of the show. His faith is very evident, his knowledge unmatched and the collection is the best I've ever seen.
He’s pretty impressive.
Absolutely speechless! That HAS TO BE THE BEST VINTAGE COLLECTION OF ALL-TIME!!! And we only got to see a small taste of it (ie: casually passing right by multiple '48 Robinson Leafs chillin in a binder). Man, I can only imagine what else he had hidden in those things, let alone all those slabs we didn't see (minus a Mantle on top). What an incredible collection carefully put together by an incredible curator. Truly one-of-a-kind in the best way possible! Thank you for sharing!
@@Concatenate 2 totally different types of collections. Not talking value, which yes, would go to Fogel's. Talking overall quantity AND quality.
Glad you enjoyed it!
A reformed card collector. Love it!!
The best!
I don't know how you guys kept it together for this episode! I know superlatives are tossed around easily on TH-cam but this collection is truly AMAZING and INSANE. He was genuinely low key and humble about his collection. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
One of the best collections sports card collections I've ever seen, antique books, and the history of Texas. You can't beat that!
👍
Wow. Praise the Lord. I want to meet this brother in Christ! Actually this is my favorite episode of Chasing Cardboard by far! Wow.
Ty thanks for sharing this content. Can I ask too are you a Christian? It was encouraging to see how engaged you were in all the biblical texts and the Bibles.
You better believe it!
Sheesh!!! that 49 Stan Musial! 😯
Great episode. Ben was freaking awesome. It was great to see how much he trusted you guys. You’ve put out so much content and had a few times that you’ve travelled to leads that had nothing. It was great to see a show with a guy who really values his collection, enjoyed sharing it, had a genuine goal of selling, and was reasonable.
It’s also great at the end to see with the consignment deal how it’s possible that you guys can do well too. I think that’s a big part of the fun for me since I’m rooting for you guys and I believe that genuinely everyone who subscribes to this channel is doing the same
Thanks for watching!
when he brings out the big black binder, that was mind boggling. i literally had to pause video to regroup. Incredible collection and video!
Haha. Our camera crew did thee same thing!
It’s kinda crazy to say but watching this video made me emotional because you see the value this collection has in his heart. The passion he has for it and the sheer magnitude of historical value that he holds is not just impressive, it’s captivating. I hope he sees this and understands how much sharing that has meant to me and certainly others through our comments.
Thanks for sharing that Diddy!
BEST VIDEO! Ben is an American/Christian MAN! Well done BEN. Well done video and thank you from all of us for your kindness to this man. GREAT CONTENT!
Wow, thank you!
The first part of this episode (previous upload) was great, but this one just knocks it out the park!
Well done CC team!
As I mentioned in the last episode, what a great man Ben clearly is. His Faith, his knowledge, and his passion for the hobby are so refreshing - and behind every good man is a good woman, who has clearly supported him in putting together this amazing collection.
I hope you're able to get some great prices for the items you'll be selling on his behalf. He deserves it. 👍
Top work, lads. 👍
Appreciate it John! Everything you said about Ben and his family is spot on.
What a jaw-dropping collection. So impressed with Ben and his depth of care and understanding of what he pursues and what he has. I can only imagine how exciting that was to encounter and I do hope there is an everlasting kinship with him and the show!!
Thanks for watching!
5:12!!!! This is legit! Amazing! I read so many of his sermons.
Thanks for watching!
This an incredible collection guys..😮 His devotion to his family and faith is really cool just to hear his thoughts about history and his amazing collection of all sorts of different genres..😍😮 Love this and is my favorite episode ever..😊 Thanks for sharing everything with us guys.. Your Musial haul and Mike's fabulous cards is next level of excellence..❤ Take care..👍💕🔥👊
Thanks for watching!
Insane episode!!! A lot of work ahead but definitely quality stuff! Love seeing Ben open up about his faith! 🙏
Absolutely! Thanks for tuning in!
Insane curation of Memorabilia. The passion was excellent to see. I would have made that trade without a second thought then or now. Great episode.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That dude is an all around great guy, I can really tell. Such a thoughtful and caring guy, yet so bad@$$!!! He has such an interesting collection (I mean Curation) of AWESOME stuff. 1st speaking about his old books of faith literature and intertwining with how family oriented he is. 2nd showing off the old guns and 3rd to top it all off, THE CARDS!!!! Shout out to this fella. and Shoutout to the chasing cardboard for documenting with such another awesome video!!!
I want to get a beer with ben
Thanks for watching!
I am thinking it is truly amazing to see a person like this, who genuinely LOVES collecting just for collecting, there is no "investment" idea, there is no flip mindset, he truly loves his collection, he loves his cards, and he loves his hobby, it's a lost piece to the sports card world these days, and I am so thankful you guys were able to showcase this! Well done, also, Mike's face when the next binder kept coming had me LOLing! Awesome job guys!
K-Dub
Absolutely! Thanks K-Dub!
Variety is spice of life for collectors of all things. Hallelujah, and thank you.
Well said!
My Lord! I literally cried while watching and listening to Ben share the book and manuscript collection. Just hearing and taking in the connection he draws from faith based relics to strength of faith in his heart, caused a re-affirming bond in my personal walk.
Then the cards…WOW!
Amazing Grace and Amazing collection!
Wow, so cool!
The amount of knowledge this guy has across so many cool genres is absolutely mind blowing and the fact that he has done well enough in his life to be able to curate (buy) such an amazing , vast, and eclectic collection with so many cool stories it just incredible
Amazing guy
This guys the new most interesting man on earth.
Ha
By far, this is the BEST educational experience video I’ve ever saw in a collection. I loved hearing him tell the stories. Some gave me the goosebumps 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic collection....love his curating. And the gun collection!! Look forward to seeing more of Ben.
No doubt. Ben will be back on soon.
The way that Ben collects is exactly opposite of how I do it!😂 I have unorganized madness. Especially compared to him!🤣🤣🤣
You mean "organized chaos" ? That's how it's done, lol. I never want to show my mess to anyone!
Haha
Pretty awesome history lesson from beginning to end! I have definitely never seen anything quite like this.... Thanks for bringing us into your unique museum, Ben! Great episode fellas!
You got it Bmac!!!
you gotta bring this guy into the CHASING CARDBOARD family ~ I would partner with him on future deals ~ buying and selling
👍
I am speechless. I realized at one point that my mouth was hanging open and I wasn't breathing. Amazing. All of it. Not just the cards. The guns, the history, the bibles, all of it.
Thanks for watching!
He is the curator of his own Family museum and an overwhelming collection. Stan Musial is also my favorite player of all time. I attended his last game September 29, 1963 , took a 3 minute color film of the festivities at old Sportsman's Park, and his last at bats in which one hit went past rookie Pete Rose at second base. I have a brick at Musial Plaza with his statue at the present Busch Stadium commemorating this game. Obviously a big collector with my favorite card being the 1959 Topps as I still remember opening the pack with my friends and pulling a Musial. Good luck in putting together a Musial run I do not have them all but own a few items I do not believe you will see very often. Anyway great episode.
Wowza!!! What a story!
Great show. Ben and his collections are beyond impressive.
Agreed!
So I sat here with my jaw on the floor. I honestly have no words. God Bless Texas! Can't wait to see these come to market.
Haha! Pick up the jaw! :-)
My favorite episode to date. I am an antique collector/dealer also into cards. This was so awesome! One last thing...He gives me Bill Paxton Vibes.
That is awesome! Ha
He definitely proved there is a difference between being a collector and being a curator. You could turn this one collection into a mini series. I am curious to know more about him, where and how he searches for his collection, and a deep dive into some of these sets.
He’s a gem!
What! Everything about this one was great. Thanks for guiding us along the journey, I'm speechless.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was fabulous from start to finish. I imagine being there in person was quite an experience. Amazing collection, great guy and superb video. 👍. Hit the thumbs up 3 times 😊😊
Yes!! Three likes is the best! ;-)
49 Paige, 49 Jackie, 51 Mantle, Bible of an entire community, M2 50 Cal. Amazing.
We found the Patron Saint of Baseball Cards
Ha
Can Ben get his own history show? Honestly, his voice is so soothing, I could tell he has a passion for it. He is so articulate with his stories. I could listen to him talk all day.
Haha
Bruh this guy... This is a GOAT collection. #onlyindreams
Right!
This is the best episode in regards to Sportscards and collecting that I’ve ever seen on any channel ever. Great episode !!!
Wow, thanks!
What an incredible collection. His house is a literal museum 😮
Haha
I’m surprised this channel hasn’t blown up with the quality of editing, story telling, and just the love of the hobby. It’s just like American Pickers but for sports cards and more added in
We’re still pretty new. Only been live for a 16 months. Thanks for the support! Help us grow! Share on your social accounts.
Super wholesome episode! Now I just want to treat Ben to some T22 chicken and talk books and cards 🙌🏼
I guarantee you he'd love that!
Nice to see the Red Man set in the episode.
Yes
I’ve never collected cards, never played baseball nor football (American), I live on the other side of the planet in mountains of New Zealand, yet for some inextricable reason found your show and have been absolutely hooked for the last couple of weeks on your innate ability to tell great stories! I love the passion you both have for exploring like mind individuals, especially this particular guy who truly curated his own master piece rather than simply hoarding for the sake of money. What you are doing with your channel is phenomenal and clearly your reach is far beyond that of what I suspect you set out to do. Great stuff, you gained a total random subscriber from afar 🤙
Unbelievable collection! Great episode, as always!
Appreciate it KTD!
Wow that collection has something for everyone! I'm surprised he didn't pull out some coins. Those guns and those Bibles are just jaw dropping...and the cards! Just wow!!
Haha
Just wanted to say AMEN 🙏 A Spiritual Episide
Thanks for watching!
Wow, what an amazing collection. Fantastic cards. And the Texas museum, Wow. Great video guys.
Thanks so much!
Such a great two-part episode. Ben seems like such a cool dude and when he collects something, he doesn't mess around. And I see you got some Summer Moon coffee, they are the best. Their moon milk is like crack!
Couldn't agree more!
Fantastic collection! Most organized curator i have seen.
He’s a pro!
More of this, please. History, non-sports, etc. Epic book collection!
Thanks for watching!
This is absolutely NUTS!!! ⚾️🔥
Thanks for watching!
Truly an amazing collection!! You always think of collections like this but yet so few ever see the light of day. Thank you for sharing it loved the satchel Paige that didn’t get talked about lol I sure eye spied it real quick. Again thank you for the episode so worth it to watch over and over and I was freezing the video taking snap shots to see thru your eyes 👀!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Ben might be on of the most interesting well spoken guy I've seen on TH-cam, ever. What a couple of episodes! Well done
Thanks RW - Ben is pretty amazing.
I have to comment again, I'm speechless on this collection
Haha
Ty, you rocked about a half-dozen Jim Halpert-smirks-at-the-camera moves in this episode. 🙃😅
"Hey, Dwight, uh… send in the subs!"
Sola Deo Gloria!
Amen!
Wow! Super blessed to see some of those early theological works that have shaped my understanding of God and His word.
Yes indeed!
This guy needs his own YoutTube, so please share if he does. Best TH-cam I've seen in a long time.
Haha
I could only imagine Rebecca from Pawn Stars looking at that book collection
Ha
Totally bonkers!!!!
Yup
Best episode yet!
Agreed!
Dang! My kinda episode! One of my favorite episodes to date guys. Well done!
Thanks for watching!
Man what a collection, I think we all can learn something from Ben and how he collects, I know I'm going to rethink on how I do my PC. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks for watching!
Wow! The most impressive collection EVER! I would LOVE the opportunity to purchase some the great vintage items.
Glad you like them! We’re helping him sell stuff, so they’ll be in our eBay store.
One of the coolest collections I have ever seen hands down!!
Yeah right!? Crazy.
Brilliant episode guys! You are creating content at another level. Very well done
Thanks 😊
craziest personal collection i have ever seen
Same! Haha
Where did he get those binders and sheets? What an amazing collection. He might have the best collection on this show.
Would like to know also
Not sure. Thanks for watching!
For real tho, Ben was awesome! What a collector! That guy really takes good care of his stuff and I’m sure it was fun for him to participate in this episode as well. It would’ve been so cool to see those in person!
Curator… haha
Haha true! 'Curator', That's when you know you're taking it to another level! No wonder his stuff was so good @@CHASINGCARDBOARD
As a card collector and a Texan this was awesome!
What an amazing collection!! Oh my. I can’t wait for the next episode!! If I had some money I would love to own something like that
Thanks for watching!
This guy was top notch with his collection of history.
His knowledge is unmatched.
Vintage card collection is insane! Nice guy with very cool interests.
Agreed!
Love the faith documents of this man… and the cards… and the historical relics! Wow!!

11:49 love that look of excitement they shared.
What a collection! - The cards! The history! What an incredible episode!!! Great additions to your collections.
Thanks a bunch!
OM GOSH Crazy collection Those binders with two 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson I saw a Satchel Paige rookie in there also not to mention the 51 Mantle and Mays rookies
Thanks for watching!
Again, Epic video and EPIC series. It was very refreshing to see the care in curating and bonds of friendship in the hobby!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing collection and wealth of knowledge Ben has! The book collection and hearing about his faith was truly inspiring. I sure hope you film your Dad's reaction as well to getting those Stan the Man cards, that would be great to see Ty!
Totally agree!
Crazy crazy collection love to see it always.
You and me both!
@@CHASINGCARDBOARD I think I speak for everyone when I say LETS SEE MORE BIGGER AND BETTER VIDEOS. Keep up the good work guys.
The ..."acumen of curation "....the collection...the cards..the binders..all impressive..however..
The pattern of thought..specifically his own description and presentation of his craft...quite impressive and unique in the hobby.
Faith is the bridge between humanity and god..interesting to see how he combines curation and his faith...
Conversation would be enjoyable.
Well done guys..
Tj.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome collection to look at, plus the historical items that are not sports related. You picked up some fantastic items.
Thanks for watching!
I love how many "Jim from the Office" moments Ty has in this episode! Just staring at the camera in complete disbelief. 😂😂😂
Haha. We had to wake him up here and there from his fainting.
Best I ever seen ❤
Yup!
