      Thx! I hope this will be good. I know the Terminator one was too heavy for me for shallow fishing

    Is there a video on how best to use it

      inline spinners are easy.. slow roll it so stays in the specific water column. Key is figuring out the right blade to createa nd the weight combination so that you can get it run slow as possible where the blade would spin! I don't use much of these as the waters i fish doesn't allow it much. but I will probably make another larger one for the season for some fun :)

      @@rawrfishing well for one thing, I would make sure There was a metal bead after the plastic bead for the clevis to use as a bearing. A plastic bead might wear down faster, since it's soft. Than again, you still might lose the lure in a tree before that happens. I have made similar rigs before with smaller single hooks, and a small curl tail grub rigged. I used light wire to wrap a loop around aberdeen hooks, using them like a siwash hook. After that, I'd put them on a spinner shaft, and than wrap the wire loop shut. This was before I started using siwash hooks lol. Caught nearly everything on them like that too. They were killer for yellow perch, at one place I haven't been to in a few years. It doesn't hurt to have them with different hook sizes, big and small.

      that's very true. i was being cheap since i had more plastic beads lol. if it wears out i'll just cut it out and reuse the rest of the parts :P but yeah i'll be looking into some single hooks for smaller fish like crappies and perch. i'll look into the siwash ones :) thx for the info :)

    Won’t the swimbait rotate with an unweighted hook like that?

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, i was trying to redo the Meps and Terminator versions. Neither have a weighted hook. so some lures would spin. With that said, I have changed it up and started using weighted swimbait hooks, which means it uses twist locks to secure the bait. Else, weighted hooks works better on plastics like zman as they won't be destroyed after a rigging!
      have fun bending lures to get that rod to bend! tight lines

    Neat idea. Have you tried it out? It looks like it might be difficult to cast due to the wobble from the weight from the plastic to the tungsten weight. Unless the tungsten is real heavy?

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally have not tried this one that I have made; however, i used to buy Terminator version (Sub brand of Rapala) and theirs are 3/8th and 5/8th oz on a 4/0 hook. they come with a grub tail. I have used their 3/8th one and I liked it but i found it relatively large and also heavy for early season. This is why I have opted for lighter weights and the smaller hook for the smaller profile. The tungsten I have used is 1/8th oz, whether it's lead or tungsten, it's still 1/8th oz. The beauty of this DIY tutorial is that you now know how to make this rig and can choose the size of hook, weight and blade to fit your fishing needs :)
