That is helpful. I was told it doesn't work on the very fine thread. I was advised to try PTFE coated cord for pipe fitting. I have sent off for some. We will see. I have PTFE tape in my garage.

If it’s leaking at the seal holder thread try some ptfe tape Hugh. Worked for me

Maybe take the fork off, lay it down on some paper to see where the leak's coming from?
