I like how the one who made the gamemode intended you to use suspension glitch for balance and turning, and ScrapMan is like: "WTF do I do with suspension and bearings?"
Probably because SM is one of the few that tries to avoid glitch builds. But your right. I do enjoy seeing him challenge himself without the glitch though.
This is exactly like "Build a boat for Treasure" game from Roblox xD That game is awesome and one of the OG's, still played to this day. You don't ever see people build boats now, they usually share their incredible technical or creative builds Edit: You know what I realized, the concept of the game mode and gameplay loop is the same, the difference being here is that you have to consider your buoyancy and the fact that because the water isn't a flat plate you also need to consider the orientation. You may consider this gamemode is on steroids because of it
I'm hoping you kAN or Kosmo decide to do a Naval Edition of Nomad Survival. Your base has to float and hold any vehicles (should work out better with the new physics). Using the lift to move it over sections of land to other water locations would be acceptable as long as your resting place is on the water. Base needs to be movable in the water under its own steam albiet with costly thrusters. I wouldn't fault you for modding for cheaper engines so its more feasible. Building wharfs in key spots would be acceptable for easier offloading of vehicles.
I see why the bearings are obtained so early, as soon as you get a timer or something, you can have the bearing wave around a protective arm to protect the build
I used to play something similar on Roblox, and everyone would join me because I had a 3-bedroom, 2-bath raft floating down the river! You want a tip? Think about tubing down a river: you don’t do it alone. You bring friends, and more importantly, you bring more tubes! Separate tubes could work like debris in front of you, clearing the path and absorbing damage before it hits your main raft. In this mod, building a flotilla of small 'sacrificial' rafts or structures to take the brunt of the damage might give you a real edge. More distance, more coins, and a safer ride!
you only need 1 propeller to really get started. all you need is the ability to move left/right, because the raft moves forward already. if you mount the propeller sideways and use it more like a bow thruster than a propulsion thruster, you should gain a bit of control over what is happening. also, maybe having an platform of exclusively plastic, on top of which you place one donut, and you surround the platform with concrete (or next best protection), you'll be able to get further. it might make you more vulnerable to level 3 and 4, but getting to levels 3 and 4 should be easier, resulting in more money earned.
I need more scrap mechanic modded survival play playthroughs that SM has been doing lately, they all really fun to watch and have been Generally really cool and exciting, just like When survival mode came out. And I hope. SM has the same amount of fun playing it. so, please do more I want more scrap mechanic :)
OH, this is based on a popular roblox game called "build a boat for treasure" EDIT: the difference between this game and build a boat for treasure is in build a boat there is a gotcha mechanic to get blocks and you can't sink if you are to heavy.
This was enjoyable. It was interesting to see how you balanced your weight and buoyancy. It looked like your craft was basically a floating ball though. Adding a piece of concrete or two to the bottom of your design would theoretically help counter the sway and offset when the outer protective layer started getting chewed away.
While I haven't touched Roblox, my brother's have played "Build a Boat for Treasure" on it before. Judging from what I've seen of them playing, 4:08 is the basic gameplay loop at the start, yeah.
Love the video. Just wanted to say that U don't need to build a raft. Just place a ton of strong blocks close to the water in your plot and then make a 3x3 of donuts further back. Let the hard stuff break the way through and then use the large donut platform to be more capable of reacting to the falling stuff. (not the best strategy, just one that would work some of what well and take less effort for good results based on luck)
Awesome series, keep it going! I feel like you need a keel below your craft which is heavy, to prevent the raft from tipping so much... maybe a few heavier blocks in a column downwards in the middle?
That seems like quite an interesting challenge, so I'd like to see more. Also if there is a next time, build a heavy keel on your boat to stop it rolling!
I would say if your progress is saved, then I'd love to see another episode or series of episodes. Love the way you explain your strategy and thought process.
the wood is useful. its heavier than air but lighter than water. if a wood is lifted out of the water, it adds weight to the side being lifted, helping it sink back down, all without causing the boat to sink more.
I love the retro Shop.exe UI. Reminds me of my early days with DOS in the early 90s. Yes, I suspect that ScrapMan and my high school diploma are about the same age. 🤣
One thing you might be able to do is use a chair and a bearing to rotate your build so the strongest sides are always facing the threats, at least until you build up enough money for propulsion?
Keel. I think a keel would help keep you upright and stop your craft from tumbling uncountably. A few heavy blocks at the very bottom middle, extending down into the water. They'd stay protected down there too. That's why sailboats have em ⛵
the best strategy probably making your boat as tiny as possible, maybe by making it upsidedown umbrella shaped, with the buoyancy block way under the water, and you just stand on the umbrela handle and hope you just thread the needle and don't hit anything
Honestly, looks like fun. Hope to see more of this. This looks like the sort of thing that'll end too soon, but the vid felt really authentic, and it was a pretty interesting game idea.
I'm not sure if you eventually try this, because I need to pause partway through and leave for work, but if you put a bunch of heavy blocks down below your raft, (the lower the better, stability-wise) that should help keep you from capsizing
Hope we get a second part
yeh
To
Yeah this is so fun
yup i hope he continue this
To
Make this into a small series, very enjoyable!
I would like it too!
Hoping scrapman sees this, this is actually based on a concept from an older roblox game!

@@2NDKS_Patriot1896 Yeah, that makes sense.
I kinda "hate" it when someone's first thought is: "how do I glitch/exploit" it. :D
@@Petq011 I kinda love it. Glitch hunting is a time honored tradition among gamers.
I sympathize with both sides of the conversation
does the doughnut have steering? because otherwise the suspension glitch isn't really a viable turning option
This is exactly like "Build a boat for Treasure" game from Roblox xD

they build everything but boats
@@idontwannatypeaname I have seen some boats aka the titanic and a military destroyer and that’s it
THATS EXACTLY WAHT I THOUGHT LOLZ (also play babft w me i need babft friends)
Whats your ign?@noxii601
kto601 is ma user
'my donuts are exposed to the direction of travel' is an unusual sentence
lol that one totally got me 😂
I didn't laugh when I heard it, but having it pointed out... Ya, kinda strange lol.
Build a boat for treasure but in scrap mechanic
FRFR
yes
Yup
Gotta finish it now Scrapman. It's like a challenge map.
Best SM series in a while!! We need more of this please!
Give us a full play through / series on this, Please.
this was actually surprisingly enjoyable, this is a very cool concept, please continue this as a miniseries!
It’s build a boat for treasure from roblox
Scrapman, PLEASE make more of this! I loved this episode, I wanna see more.
What currency is that?
*googling*
Turkish Lyria? Well, that's unexpected.
@Nevir202 Yeah, Turkish Lira. It's worthless as sh*t, 1 dollar is like 35 Turkish Lira.
I just wanted the comment to appear higher in the list
@@AresEverett Actually pretty smart. Shouldve used pesos or something

we got build a boat for treasure in scrap mechanic before gta 6

for those who dont know this mod is inspired by the game "Build A Boat For Treasure" i think, which is a game on the popular platform Roblox.
Yep build A boat for treasure from Roblox
i dont know why the creator of the mod didnt acknowledge that this is just a build a boat inspired mod being so identical to eachother
looks fun! make a serie of it..

This is like build a boat on Roblox
at least it's kind of better I think
THATS WHAT IM SAYING!
like? It is pretty much a 1 to 1 copy
With buoyancy though
Yea, and I played that like 2 years ago I think
This would make a really nice short series!
Literraly a roblox game
Yeah
Now ported to a better game!
Literaly BABFT
@haydenaldridge yeah thats it, forgot the name(build a boat for treasure)
i know people have also made a minecraft version
This ABSOLUTELY needs more content, what a fun concept! Hoping we get part 2!

Pretty sure gmod did It first

It is yea
You could use the uneven props to spin urself maybe
This is what I was thinking. A single prop would allow for rotation in one direction so he can aim the tough corners forward.
These floating rocks.... they keep braking my boat

This is exactly like build a boat. I had a lot of fun playing that game.
surprisingly fun to watch and would definitely watch an episode two
Love it. Cheaper idea. Put a controllable spinning arm on it to help steer around rocks. It’s a sacrifice to get through rocks. No propeller needed
This looks like fun and it seems like a good candidate for a short series, definitely hoping for more.
31:08 the rock came out of nowhere
I want a whole playthrough, this is sick.
That seems like quite an interesting challenge, so I'd like to see more.

Yeah, it was quite interesting! Go for a series!
scrap man is actually just underrated
It was definitely fun to watch! Maybe you need a roof for all those falling objects
Hyped for part 2!
This was actually soooo interesting and would love to see more!
Finally more scrap mechanic
Very enjoyable! Love the roguelite aspect.
Definitely a fun series to watch, I'd want to see more, especially with what ideas you got for the mechanical side of things.
Love watching this and playing along, I used to love playing Build a boat for treasure with my friends a couple years ago
you are a very patient man
I'd watch you finish this mod! Great video scrapman
What a challenging mod! Hope to see you crack the code on a perfect design
LOVED IT! Really wanna see some more!
OOC quotes: "Nooo my donuts are exposed!!!"

THIS is roblox build a boat for treasure. You should play it.
Yes please make this a series.
29:36 That sounded so wrong... You probably shouldn't expose your doughnuts in public. ;D
Finally a longer episode
29:23 "that worked out better than...", invisible rock just spawns in front of scrapman lol
"Roblox build a boat for treasure but players built anything but boat" kinda game😂....but i really enjoyed it though
I love the retro Shop.exe UI. Reminds me of my early days with DOS in the early 90s. Yes, I suspect that ScrapMan and my high school diploma are about the same age. 🤣
MAMA I'M A CRIMINAAALLL CRIMINALLL🗣🗣🗣
NEW SERIES YASSSSS!!!!! please please please
Love the retro DOS interface for Shop.exe :D Fun game.
I love how scrapman keeps using the doghnuts despite the fact that they're consistantly the weakest link in his boat
One thing you might be able to do is use a chair and a bearing to rotate your build so the strongest sides are always facing the threats, at least until you build up enough money for propulsion?
Keep going with this series please
More please! Lets see the grind

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. More of this please
Would love to see some more of this, ScrapMan. Especially since I can't play the game myself.
Make a platform of blocks and put your seat on top of it so it doesn’t all break in one shot
This challenge definitely feels so very addictive!
You should use a suspension glitch to avoid rotating
Keep playing this it was fun to watch
I need more of this!
I just bought scrap man merch today yippee
very interesting concept which I definitely think I would want to see again
I'd watch a series of this!
I was thinking about this exact thing yesterday.
What a coincidece
I love it when ScrapMan vids come out at 6:00 in the morning
real
I love this such a breath of fresh air
I’d love to see more!
this is literaly build a boat for treasure from roblox in scrap mechanic, thats so cool!
Vid title seems really interesting. Will update soon.
This is based off of a game on roblox called "build a boat for treasure" so seeing Scrapman be this confused is slightly infuriating :3
I would put money on balance being ‘balanced’ between float and strength, i.e. stronger than float blocks, weaker than strength blocks
BABFT is right here
continue plz wa fun to watch
strategy idea: Do you need to be seated to get coins? If you don't you might be able to use donuts and a big bouyency piece
trailmaker boat knowledge should work here to. give your raft a nice heavy weight below the buoyancy layer!
please continue it was enjoyable
A knife profile would be interesting, but one rotation is all it takes to end the run
feels like your old content , gets a like !
