The next four episodes are my favorite of the season. Get your tissues on hand. There are some wonderful emotional moments. We're mostly empathic toward Rebecca for Season 1. We get why she's upset and her mission, but at the same time, hate to see the Greyhounds crash and burn. Being relegated is a major loss and step backwards for a soccer club. Relegation means loss of sponsorship and revenue. People lose jobs. You would think making Richmond more successful would be the ultimate revenge. When Rupert ran the team, they consistently produced average to below average results. This is what happens when jealousy and rage takes over, and clouds your judgment. Sudeikis has said in the press that the show was inspired by the 2016 U.S Presidential Election and about the dangers of division. Ted Lasso is really about being a good person in a world full of greed, jealousy, division, and tragedy.

Yes. It wasn’t a coach. It was Allen Iverson in a press conference. He’d missed practice as a friend had passed, and was getting some schtick about it. Most of Ted’s practice rant is directly from Iverson. Search Iverson Practice 😊
