Im personally voting for the sniffer. Mojang said that with this mob there would be some more plant based blocks and items. I think that would be a great vcome back for the "Wild Update"

tbh my theory with the rascal currently is that one of the things you can get from it is a bundle, since that would qualify as something that could help with mining as it gives you more space to put your ores that you mine. And they have yet to make a way to obtain it in survival (without commands), so it would be a fun way to obtain it without commands.
Counter agruement is that the sniffer will bring the archeology update since it is an ancient mob

Yeah, the Sniffer was thought to be extinct, which means that extinct creatures have existed in the Minecraft lore, which would support MatPat’s theory on the ancient builders.

My vote is on the sniffer. I don’t think the rascals gonna give out diamond pickaxes, it’ll be way to overpowered. People would just be able to trap a bunch in one spot and a make a farm out of it, and considering farms are one of the biggest components in Minecraft, Mojang has definitely thought of this.
Good thinking maybe they thought of it and gave made them a feature so that they disappear after and can't be trapped? That would be smart

True cause it will just make an iron nugget farm or at least a xp farm from grinding the enchatned pickaxes which would suck. Sniffer adds to the archeology and new plants which can give rise to more updates and new mob types in the future. Vote Sniffer
sniffer has the most useful, but rascals i think would be nice in a medieval themed world i guess, could make them as elves or goblin workers etc.

I love the sniffer. Because its cute, put more stuff in the ocean, and bonus plants. Rascal has a high chance of being boring late game if it doesn't level up. The golem is just a reskined ally you can make. It has the possibility to move items but it could be another decorative pet with a situation purpose.
I guess the sniffer is the most advanced in terms of gameplay and new stuff. And its ancient and mysterious appearance is great.
Edit: What makes me love the sniffer even more, is that there is now another reason to search and explore the ocean ruins of the aquatic update. And its the only mob of the 3 that has a little and big version of itself.

The Sniffer would be PERFECT for trying to find which grass plants give seeds when broken, which as everyone knows, is necessary for wheat farming.

As much as I want another golem, I'm gonna have to say sniffer. A great idea would be to take the second runner up from each mob vote and put them in a vote as well. That would be cool.
I want a nether golem one with 150 health and the ability to give you accent debris while being hostile to enemy mobs.

the tuff golem is the most useless mob in the game its literally a moving item frame or a land allay
The Sniffer takes my vote, I’m personally a plant lover and I believe this would be a great addition for the wild update, with the wild update ai feel underwhelmed as we only got a fraction of what was promised. But to add onto that, the sniffer’s adorable.
The sniffer is the best option, more seeds and food will be pretty useful, also just generally looking for seeds is already quite hard. The Rascal doesn't seem very useful, trying to find it 3 times can be quite hard since it could always leave the mines if the mine has any other caves or ravines to go to, plus people will just put them on a lead and take it to a prison and let it keep giving you items as a farm. And the Tuff golem is just the alay. but it doesn't give the items to you and it doesn't find the items. And if you wanted to store the items just put them in a chest. And the allay already sucks, it doesn't find things it just picks up what you left behind, and it doesn't even do that unless you have 2 of what you left and you remember what you left.
The tuff golem seems to literally just be a living DISPLAY CASE.
The rascal is interesting, but would probably become obsolete later in game.
Sniffer has my vote because if it's being introduced with new plants and sniffing out seeds, it's probably focusing specifically on those rare plants and not giving us wheat.

Dan is great respect Icon for the questionable community of TH-cam and the Sniffer would probably encourage the supposed archaeology update and might be if you look at the 3 mobs
I'm personally voting for the sniffer! However, I wouldn't mind if the other two became the new mob. However, they should make the Rascal capable of hiding your stuff if you upset it (instead of just rewarding the player with pickaxes/other prizes after finding it three times). It would be great if the Tuff Golem could place stuff down after a while or if he could interact with the Ally. Since the Ally can pick up stuff and bring it to the player, I can imagine it chasing after the Tuff Golem or something. 😅

Sniffer would be amazing. New plants could be a ton of stuff, new crops, new food, possibly healing/defending plants, sniffers would be so cute and so cool
the tuff golem goes back to its spot you placed it after picking up an item. i think if its able to hold a whole stack of an item that would be awesome for making automatic mining systems,
Sniffer seems a lot more cooler, and plus I would love to see new plants that have value or uses.

I'm voting for the sniffer, definitely the best option here BUT, I wouldn't me mad if in an update coming up, adding both the copper and tuff golem wouldn't be terrible, if what Dan predicts, there being another golem next vote, is true, maybe 1.25 or something could add the 3 variants, if they're all similar in size as the copper/tuff golem appear, I would definitely agree with adding them to the game.
Alternatively, and I think more likely for mojang to actually do, would be to add the second runner up from three consecutive mob votes and add them into every fourth mob vote, giving them a second chance.
Personally, I kinda only play in one world and after the allay, I am SICK of mobs I have to explore to find. I know that’s kinda the point of Minecraft to explore, but for mob votes, I don’t have the storage to load more chunks. As I have plenty of tuff, I’m going golem.

I think it would be cool if the rascal gave you loot based off of the loot in your inventory. So if you had a full set of netherite it might give you really good diamond pickaxes or weak netherite ones.
Mojang always includes most of the information on each of the mobs. With this information it is likely that, unless it is changed, the rascal will only drop enchanted stone and iron pickaxes. This means that the rascal would become more of an annoyance later on since you typically reach level Y=0 when you have a very good pickaxe. Since the tuff golem can't be controlled (because it wasn't stated in the information on each mob) it becomes a hassle if you allow it to roam free in a massive location since some people have massive bases, it could be crossed off. Using this knowledge, the Sniffer is left and also brings Minecraft more blocks, plants, and seeds. Not only this, but the Sniffer also brings more potential to Minecraft since it could lead to more blocks if the seeds are harvested, planted, or even taken care of in special ways. It wouldn't be said if this is the case, since this is a mob vote and not a plant vote. It also brings more water exploration and farming. Think about it!
This is just my opinion and reasoning for my thinking! (I am also trying to convince people who haven't voted yet 😂)

The rascal was super close to what Dan thought! I’ll definitely have to go for the sniffer though… it’s so cute and I can’t wait to see what kind of new plants it will bring!

My take:
Tuff golem: just an allay but doesn't fly
Rascal: as Dan said, it loses its value later down the road
Sniffer: they mentioned new plants which we didn't have for years
Would say that the sniffer would be cool in all stages, and it generally looks cool
but it doesn't do what the allay does.
The Tuff Golem isn't even close to what the Allay does... it's basically a glorified item frame.

@@Poxeled Are you serious, the tuff golem and allay were made for two completely separate purposes. One was meant to retrieve items and sort them, and the other is meant to display them.
If the only thing that you can think of about them is how they pick up items and "randomly" move around, then foxes are also allays, villagers are allays, so many things have suddenly become allays.
they need a golem that can follow you around and carry items for you. when its full it goes back to base
I am voting for the sniffer. It will add more plants to the game. I personally think if the rascal gave you more than just a silly pickaxe I would vote for it but if it just drops a pickaxe then it will lose its use in the future.

I am ganna vote for the sniffer personally because it is a ancient mob and it will bring more plants which would maybe help with interrior designs and it is an ancient mob which will come with more lore and the possibility of more ancient mobs coming in later updates and mob votes.
Voting for the Sniffer all the way. Based on lore alone, the Sniffer will provide a ton of peeks into the Overworld's past. It's also the cutest in my opinion of the 3 mobs.

The tuft golem is a mash up of the copper golem and the allay from last year. I just wish that fireflies was part of the mob vote

I don't play Minecraft as often as I used too, but I'm mainly for the design in games and the aesthetics of it. So I love the look of the Rascal however I just love the look of the sniffer and the factor of more plants. It looks so incredibly cute.
I think the sniffer would be more content full. And better. I thought the rascal was better because of the free stuff, but really, it dosent add any content, other than just an entity, itself.
The sniffer = more flowers n plants
Tuff golem = moving item frame for museums
Rascal = free stuff for a simple hide n seek

It'd be cool if we got something akin to a golem update, where they add a golem for every ore and some other materials (coal, stone, copper, gold, lapis, redstone, diamond, and even netherite). They could all have unique behaviors and abilities. At least one of them should be able to put things into hoppers too. In addition to building them, some could also spawn naturally (it would be extremely rare though), and those that spawn randomly could have special or enhanced abilities and look slightly different.
Imagine having a living factory based off most of the ore golems that would be cool

pumpkin ontop of a haybale and it turns into a wheat golem, they will rot over the course of 5 minecraft days but will pick up crops and store them, when you walk near them they drop it to you. or whenever you kill them/they rot you get the seeds/crops

You know when you make big projects, if you use tnt then the tuff golem can pick up the scraps off the ground, and put it in hoppers.
Personally I'm excited for the rascal it kinda reminds me of those treasure goblins or treasure based creatures and mobs in fantasy RPGs

I’m going for the rascal, but it will really depend on if they elaborate on the loot drops. For instance if there is a chance of it dropping a diamond pickaxe…. that would be huge.
I think it's just enchanted iron tools, I saw somewhere else it giving an enchanted iron shovel.

I think most people should vote "the sniffer" because for one it's an ancient mob so you know what that means another mob for the lore so we will probably going to get a Banger video from Matt patt but anyways, it's another passive mob and it's another pet so just imagine how many pets are in the game we got wolves, parrots, ocelots aka cats, and the most recent one and I think the most helpful axolotls so we don't have to be lonely throughout our adventures and lastly it's another reason to go water expedition deep down and explore more.
Tip why you should choose tuff golem cause imagin the farms you can make with it
I choose the sniffer over a walking item frame and although the rascal could be a cool way to stay in the mines longer in the early stages of the game, i don’t see it having higher value in late game when compared to the sniffer. (Unless the rascal would give an exclusive item that is not farmable without the rascal itself.)
And also, having the sniffer in game not only brings a cuteness to our worlds, but it also gives more meaning to explore underwater ruins and such. I feel those ruins have been lacking a lot since they were released, mainly their loot.

I'm pretty sure that the rascal only gives an iron pickaxe for enchants efficiency will give 1-3 and unbreaking 1-2.
If the archeology update is coming in 1.20 then the ainchient sniffer would fit in perfectly.

tuff golems should stay still and hold an item but if another player takes it, the golem wakes up and attacks the player
I can't decide between all of them. The Tuff golem could be used for building. the Rascal helps you and plays a game with you. and the sniffiler adds more to the game and is cute

If you haven't seen yet, the video they made that had all 3 mobs in one video, they did show the rascal giving a different item, a shovel
I don't think anyone should make a firm decision on their vote, usually during the Minecraft event they reveal MORE information about EACH mob. So pay attention during the event and we canlearn some VERY important information.💚

The Tuff Golem prevents items from despawning by picking them up, incase you dropped something or don't have inventory space for that item

The tuff golem triggers observers when it does blocks, also we got robbed last year of the copper golem because people thought allay duped items

I think that the sniffer would be perfect for either a gardening update or an archeology update
your not wrong be the plants will be only for looks, maybe you can place them around your garden?
I love making gardens in minecraft. I hope it's another fruit plant but I wouldn't say no to more decor plants
