they do not recommend that, however, yeah you totally could as long as you were careful about power loss. If you counter weighted it, that would help too.
A little pricey, but not ridiculously so. Didn't see any real drawbacks that weren't a function of being portable. Big question, though: can it do metals? At least aluminum, maybe tougher stuff? Also, did it come with a US plug? Would like to see it compared with the lowrider ("upgrade" from the MPCNC).
But, in reality, it doesn't! You are welcome to come by my shop to get a look at the SmartBench and get a full demo of the machine cutting YOUR type of projects. It certainly is a different approach to CNC machine layout, but it works very well and is very repeatable. We're no longer locked into the idea that a 10,000 lb machine is necessary to cut wood, HDMP, aluminum, brass, wood etc... because, it clearly isn't needed. I look forward to speaking to you and answering any questions you may have.
@@scottlyttle5586 Sounds good. An onsite demo day makes sense --- you see the machine, we design and cut YOUR products. Start to finish. You can contact me through the contact info linked to my TH-cam account - www.YetiSmartBench.com I look forward to working with you.
if u route the cable from the lavmic through your shirt it makes you look twice as professional. low lets continue with the remaining 10 min 5 sec of the video ;)
I have a $6k router at the Makerspace, and I wish this was available 3 years ago when we started. I would much rather have this!
I would love to have this machine, it would great for cutting out things to paint on. Great video Caleb.

Yes, please.

Would be nice to see it being used

I love these machine reviews! I hope you review my soon coming machine someday
I hope so too!
WILL YOU PLEASE COME BACK TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA!!!!!!! We miss going to the maker faire 🙂
Could this be mounted against a wall?
Unfortunately not at the moment as there isn't a fall arrest system in case of a power loss.

Thanks for the comment James! It can do metals such as aluminium, brass and copper. Yes, we include the correct plug for you region ☺️
nice review ! I am thinking about purchasing. Could you list some negative points of the tool? Because it all sounded so great haha
can this be operated in a vertical orientation (on a wall etc)?

@@YetiToolLtd good answer! thx
I love how you start explaining a sheet of wood to your non US viewers, but then only mention the imperial measurements 😉
2440 x 1220. The web site actually says 2500 x 1220.
@@brucelee3388 SmartBench can process 2500mm x 1200mm edge to edge :)
haha, good point.
Super machine cool👍👍🇳🇱
Was expecting it to cost more.
Hi, thanks for the comment! We've priced it to make full size CNC more accessible to small and medium businesses.
Trim guys can stress custom now, If a customer can dream it, It can be done,,,
Looks like it will have a ton of vibration issues

holy crap! Why didn't anyone tell me this before! Thank you so much!!!!!!111!!
Really dull chain in your saw!!
it looks like it is sagging in one shot, but maybe that is an artifact of the camera lens?
This would certainly be the camera lens. The bench is a solid aluminium construction.
the frame does not sag. It's a trick of the camera and stuff
