Yep, same here. I was in high school (75-79) when I listened to this. Cool thing is the actors and sound effects were so good you could imagine the actors like they were in a TV show. I never forgot this series.
Radio - the Theater of the Mind - great way to spend the evening, you can do other things while listening - not so with TV and now the fad is cell phones...
I've been listening to these radio plays my whole life all the way back when my mom and my aunt would listen to them with the radio that was on my kitchen table and that was in 1968. My question to the provider that has this on TH-cam today ? ---- how can you absolutely prove that this play itself was the very first play / episode that was played/ produced when the show was brand-new on the air ? ----- I've been trying to research this myself and it's not as easy as it seems. I remember this play but it was not the first play I remember it being somewhere in the 80s of another provider Broadcasting here on TH-cam. ------ So if you could read and clarify my question it would be much appreciated......
if thses sre likethe ones that were played on the radio many years ago "from the macabre" then thank you sooo much that wouldbe great tobring them back scary spooky stories that were just a littlescary but not so much that would'd keep you up at night hope they come back these don't seem like thesame ones but love them anyway thanks!!!!!!!

I didn't remember than Anheiser Busch sponsored the show (in part). Great to hear the commercial with Ed McMahon.
Pleasant dreams. I loved E.G. Marshall's voice
I agree on The Voice. I wouldn't mind a bed made with his voice. Surround sound. Btw I used to know a Mary Ellen Rudd. from camping in the 70s
Yes!great voice!
The creaky door, the "Come in" and "Welcome" introduction were used in honor of the Suspense radio serials of the 1940s. It opened the exact same way.
Thank you for providing these dramas...they help me fall asleep!🤪
