At 5:40, I feel that in recent years the demons biggest bogey sides are the pies (from 2017 round 23 -now), the cats (Over the years) and the swans. Not a bad prediction, right about Brisbane, right about pies not being 2022 because they were absolutely better. Obviously Geelong, Freo and Tiges were kind've shit. Giants suprised us this year.
As an Essendon supporter we usually seem to do ok (make the 8) when there is no pressure on us. So I can see the Bombers scraping the 8 this year. We play WC, GWS, and NM twice….. ( hopefully 5-6 wins there ) but we tend to go ok against Collingwood and Sydney for some reason. And hopefully win more 50-50 games this year than loose. And just as a unique stat we do seem to make the Elimination Finals every second year. So I have a little hope. But the bombers have 4 winnable games in the first month. That will definitely let everyone know what kinda year we will have.

The disrespect of having us go 0-7 to start the season. There are too many talented players on the doggies list that they wouldn't sit back and let that happen. It's gonna be a tough start to the season and I don't have high expectations but I think we'll at least win 2 or 3 of those games.

What do you think now you've seen Adel vs Eagles practice. Eagles will have a solid outfit if they can avoid injuries. They lack depth. The problem is that they must rebuild with youth and put the kids in the key areas on the ground. That will mean losing games due to the kids only being in their first couple of years. The temptation to get an early pick in the Super draft of 2023 will be too much to ignore. If they only have 7 wins by round 16 then I reckon they'll end up just picking kids and end up near the bottom. I think they'll drop down a bit over the next two years, rebuild with some really talented kids and then start the rise. The 2021 and 2022 drafts were very good for them. In 2023 they currently have three picks in the top 33 approx. If they can trade an early pick for a few more draft picks then they'll be setting up a dynasty.

@@brettgleadell3576 Its a wake up call for us. Last year's draft was really good with Hough Bazzo Chesser Culley... Clark and Williams backups. Then Ginbey Hewitt Barnett are very important. Not sure about Long and Burgoile. Before then it was average for a couple of years sadly. Eagles really need another 2 years of early draft picks. Eagles also have to blood youngsters and that will be the challenge. They'll have guys that should be in the team, but if they're rebuilding those guys will be playing WAFL and they'll be promoting kids. Down back there seems to be 14 guys competing for six places, especially if Shuey and Ginbey run through there. I reckon the Eagles have to bite the bullet with a few guys. IF Duggan or Cole are ever going to play up the field then they need some opportunities in the midfield. Hunt needs to be in midfield too. These are guys in their mid 20s that can help in the transition of the team. The kids aren't ready. The older guys are getting injured and there is an abundance of defenders.
@@brettgleadell3576 I don't know what Branders problem was. Giants dumped him too. Perhaps there was another issue. Certainly looking at him pre match in warm ups he'd do things like kick goals 60 metres out, that he couldn't do match day. He was never going to make it as wingman. They should have kept him a key forward option. It would be very handy now. I think 2022 was a blessing in disguise as its helped fast track the rebuild. They were stuffed in the second half of 2021 and often that's a sign of what the next year will be like. 2022 obviously was impossible. They tried a new style of play and brought in new coaches and then copped injuries and covid. If they get thrashed again a few assistant coaches may be dumped.

I reckon 6th is about right for them. I reckon Fremantle is the most comparable to them, but I think the Dockers are stronger and have more upside with youth. Dockers 4th probably. Richmond is probably the tricky one along with Bulldogs. Carlton has better players. But Collingwood is a better team.
@@JCStorm76 Yes, lucky I'm not a Dorkers fan, but Eagles. But in the Western Derby the Freo midfield that is a class above will be too talented and hard at it for the Eagles. Freo's midfield will have desperation. Also Darcy and Jackson should absolutely monster the Eagles Williams and Waterman (a forward midfielder). Not sure if they'll pick Jamison or Barnett who are both very young. If Dockers lost this match it would be a real shock. Eagles seem determined to pick young guys at the moment, just because they're young. Yeo and Nic Nat are massively missed. But still wouldn't give us a win.

Collingwood doesn't have that strong a list. They did well losing all those close games, but there was a bit of luck involved and a style of play that teams found hard to counter in the closing minutes. Sides would now have copied Collingwood and also worked out how to combat their frenzy periods at the end of the last quarter. I doubt they'll have the same luck this year. Collingwood and Fremantle are similar, though Fremantle have better younger players.

@@TigerTime3672 I don’t see Port making the 8, I think JHF is a cultural parasite, I see West Coast making a leap to 8 (they have gone from a spoon to a prelim in the past), I see Dockers dropping out, I think they undervalued Acres I don’t know who else is going to provide their outside run, but I see Swans, Dockers and Dogs dropping out for West Coast, Hawthorn and Carlton, What you acquire in the draft is very important and the trade helps fill holes in your game if you apply the right mindset and not go in on money monsters and giving up 2 years of first rounders, so you want a good stock of trades and draftees

I feel that port would be around that middle range part of the ladder for this upcoming season as I feel that they are capable of competing against most teams, but I feel would be a bit inconsistent. I wouldn't be too surprised if west coast ends up making a huge leap this season as like you said they have achieved this fate before back in 2010 when they finished bottom but managed to finish around 4th in 2011. I wouldn't be surprised either if the swans end up having a bad start this season given after they lost in the 2016 grand final, they started the next season 0-6. I have a feeling that either the dockers or the dogs will miss the 8 this year where the replacement will be the blues.

Looks too much like last year. There will be a sleeper in the mix that you're missing and one of those high teams will be a slider. I think Hawks are wayyyyy too high. They will be bottom 4 for sure and I think Dons will do better than 14th. Who really knows though.
If hawthorn finishes 10th I’m going to be extremely happy. We have got such a young good group coming up and everyone is expecting us to finish wooden spooners. We are going to have some really good wins and we are also going to get blown away from the better sides putting up history numbers against us this year and that’s ok that’s part of playing footy It’s exciting times ahead for the mighty hawks.

cmon caden the giants list is still elite they needed a better game style to suit them and i think kingers is the right man. they will surprise a lot of people this year
Adelaide was very good in the practice match. Eagles still trying to bed down their new style of play, which started last year but they didn't have anyone on the park to bed it in. Having said that Adelaide put a lot of pressure on Eagles, causing turnovers and Eagles were chasing tails. GWS may be solid too. Essendon has to improve. Eagles good enough to be 12th but will blood youth. Hawks finish near bottom. Come round 16 and it will be a race to the bottom. Super draft in 2023, so if sides aren't going to make the 8 they'll aim to be close to the bottom to get an early draft pick. The incentive for the Eagles may be too much to bear.
A few calls from me Adelaide to make the Top 4 (Every year a Team makes Finals when no one expects it last year it was Fremantle 2021 was Sydney and 2020 was Port Adelaide and I believe in 2023 its Adelaides Turn) Geelong to finish 9th (It will be a one of bad year beacuse of the Retirements for Geelong and then bounce back in 2024 like nothing ever happened) Carlton to Miss out (Carlton fans always hype up Carlton and they never live up to the hype) North to Finish last (Norths Situation will get worse before it gets better Yes they have a 4x Premiership coach but it wont matter if they dont even have any good players) Essendon to Make Finals (I hate trying to predict Essendon they are so inconsistent one season they make Finals and get smashed in the Elimination Final and the next season they cant seem to win many games The Team that Finished 11th will finish 14-9 (Tight race for finals this year)

Underrating the roos besides the slightly disappointing performance against the dogs they gave Richmond a good run for their money and I love their surge off the half back they look like they could really flourish under the leadership of their vets and Clarko
Way too lenient for Hawthorn, they’re wooden spoon contenders in my book, way too depleted, I think Carlton will be hit and miss, 50/50 chance to make the 8 again tbh and Adelaide is a bit harsh, I think they’ll improve, but not too much. I agree with GWS and Bulldogs falling and also the Saints a bit, and pretty much everything else is similar to mine, give or take a few.
Your boys now got Grundy, but losing your wingers will be tiring for your inside midfield players, you still have a great spine but without outside run will be difficult to move the ball quickly

Bullish on the incredibly under experienced hawks is straight up bizarre dude. Even some of their younger players have been let downs let alone the onslaught of experience in one season. Any kind of logic points to a long long season at the bottom for the hawks.
I don’t think the western bulldogs will finsh 12th we’ve got a pretty good group atm imo The Bont will be healthier again got Lobb and jones and we had too many midfielders last year so I think that’s why we struggled a bit and had too many injuries and the loss off Dunkley will just give us fuel to go harder and win a lot more games hopefully this year 🤞🏻

Respect your opinion Cados but for someone who claims to know alot about footy I can't believe you think the Dogs will lose that many games and end up finishing 12th they are in a better position then Melbourne are statistically and physically for the record. And what happened last year doesn't dictate what will happen this year at all. We have new elite talls in our defence and forward including young guns some who will be coming into their prime this year and we have one of the most experienced/old lists in the comp it is actually impossible for them to not make finals this year.
I honestly think you were being to harsh on norf. Sheezel and Wardlaw alone are great for the side, and that's excluding Clarko as coach, Shiels, Tucker, Logue and many of the other recruits

@@brettgleadell3576 Its a wake up call for us. Last year's draft was really good with Hough Bazzo Chesser Culley... Clark and Williams backups. Then Ginbey Hewitt Barnett are very important. Not sure about Long and Burgoile. Before then it was average for a couple of years sadly. Eagles really need another 2 years of early draft picks. Eagles also have to blood youngsters and that will be the challenge. They'll have guys that should be in the team, but if they're rebuilding those guys will be playing WAFL and they'll be promoting kids. Down back there seems to be 14 guys competing for six places, especially if Shuey and Ginbey run through there. I reckon the Eagles have to bite the bullet with a few guys. IF Duggan or Cole are ever going to play up the field then they need some opportunities in the midfield. Hunt needs to be in midfield too. These are guys in their mid 20s that can help in the transition of the team. The kids aren't ready. The older guys are getting injured and there is an abundance of defenders.
@@brettgleadell3576 I don't know what Branders problem was. Giants dumped him too. Perhaps there was another issue. Certainly looking at him pre match in warm ups he'd do things like kick goals 60 metres out, that he couldn't do match day. He was never going to make it as wingman. They should have kept him a key forward option. It would be very handy now. I think 2022 was a blessing in disguise as its helped fast track the rebuild. They were stuffed in the second half of 2021 and often that's a sign of what the next year will be like. 2022 obviously was impossible. They tried a new style of play and brought in new coaches and then copped injuries and covid. If they get thrashed again a few assistant coaches may be dumped.

I reckon 6th is about right for them. I reckon Fremantle is the most comparable to them, but I think the Dockers are stronger and have more upside with youth. Dockers 4th probably. Richmond is probably the tricky one along with Bulldogs. Carlton has better players. But Collingwood is a better team.

@@JCStorm76 Yes, lucky I'm not a Dorkers fan, but Eagles. But in the Western Derby the Freo midfield that is a class above will be too talented and hard at it for the Eagles. Freo's midfield will have desperation. Also Darcy and Jackson should absolutely monster the Eagles Williams and Waterman (a forward midfielder). Not sure if they'll pick Jamison or Barnett who are both very young. If Dockers lost this match it would be a real shock. Eagles seem determined to pick young guys at the moment, just because they're young. Yeo and Nic Nat are massively missed. But still wouldn't give us a win.

I follow the Pies and surely with our list and all the MCG games we will be much higher than 8th.Adelaide have a decent list and will win a lot more than 5 games and maybe make the 8.I would have Gold Coast in the 8 instead of Carlton especially with Walsh missing early.Freo in the top 4 instead of the Dees but what would i know lol
Collingwood doesn't have that strong a list. They did well losing all those close games, but there was a bit of luck involved and a style of play that teams found hard to counter in the closing minutes. Sides would now have copied Collingwood and also worked out how to combat their frenzy periods at the end of the last quarter. I doubt they'll have the same luck this year. Collingwood and Fremantle are similar, though Fremantle have better younger players.

@@TigerTime3672 I don’t see Port making the 8, I think JHF is a cultural parasite, I see West Coast making a leap to 8 (they have gone from a spoon to a prelim in the past), I see Dockers dropping out, I think they undervalued Acres I don’t know who else is going to provide their outside run, but I see Swans, Dockers and Dogs dropping out for West Coast, Hawthorn and Carlton, What you acquire in the draft is very important and the trade helps fill holes in your game if you apply the right mindset and not go in on money monsters and giving up 2 years of first rounders, so you want a good stock of trades and draftees

I feel that port would be around that middle range part of the ladder for this upcoming season as I feel that they are capable of competing against most teams, but I feel would be a bit inconsistent. I wouldn't be too surprised if west coast ends up making a huge leap this season as like you said they have achieved this fate before back in 2010 when they finished bottom but managed to finish around 4th in 2011. I wouldn't be surprised either if the swans end up having a bad start this season given after they lost in the 2016 grand final, they started the next season 0-6. I have a feeling that either the dockers or the dogs will miss the 8 this year where the replacement will be the blues.

Looks too much like last year. There will be a sleeper in the mix that you're missing and one of those high teams will be a slider. I think Hawks are wayyyyy too high. They will be bottom 4 for sure and I think Dons will do better than 14th. Who really knows though.

Adelaide was very good in the practice match. Eagles still trying to bed down their new style of play, which started last year but they didn't have anyone on the park to bed it in. Having said that Adelaide put a lot of pressure on Eagles, causing turnovers and Eagles were chasing tails. GWS may be solid too. Essendon has to improve. Eagles good enough to be 12th but will blood youth. Hawks finish near bottom. Come round 16 and it will be a race to the bottom. Super draft in 2023, so if sides aren't going to make the 8 they'll aim to be close to the bottom to get an early draft pick. The incentive for the Eagles may be too much to bear.

Geelong to finish 9th (It will be a one of bad year beacuse of the Retirements for Geelong and then bounce back in 2024 like nothing ever happened)
Carlton to Miss out (Carlton fans always hype up Carlton and they never live up to the hype)
North to Finish last (Norths Situation will get worse before it gets better Yes they have a 4x Premiership coach but it wont matter if they dont even have any good players)
Essendon to Make Finals (I hate trying to predict Essendon they are so inconsistent one season they make Finals and get smashed in the Elimination Final and the next season they cant seem to win many games

I don’t think the western bulldogs will finsh 12th we’ve got a pretty good group atm imo The Bont will be healthier again got Lobb and jones and we had too many midfielders last year so I think that’s why we struggled a bit and had too many injuries and the loss off Dunkley will just give us fuel to go harder and win a lot more games hopefully this year 🤞🏻

Respect your opinion Cados but for someone who claims to know alot about footy I can't believe you think the Dogs will lose that many games and end up finishing 12th they are in a better position then Melbourne are statistically and physically for the record. And what happened last year doesn't dictate what will happen this year at all. We have new elite talls in our defence and forward including young guns some who will be coming into their prime this year and we have one of the most experienced/old lists in the comp it is actually impossible for them to not make finals this year.
