Not what I know as "Buckthorn" at least not Alder Buckthorn. Looks like Hawthorne. But regardless, a great tool. Thanks for sharing.

Nice tool. Good video. Thank you for making & posting it. Question, kindly. ¿Will that Pullbear tool also pull up those weeds that you pushed down with your foot, please? (I have tall weeds [Mullen, Goldenrod, and prickly Milk/Scotch Thisle] like this in a small grassy driveway we have, and pulling them by hand is hard on the back. Also, their reed stems are somewhat soft, not woody, so they do break easily if one bends the reed stem). It seems jaws like that, with two rows of 'teeth' on each side would cut the said stems. Thank you.
Good thoughts! I do not believe this would be a good tool for pulling individual grasses. I would however think that if the "grass clump" had a shallow root system, it may work if there was enough for the tool to grab onto. If the grass or weed had a tap root system that goes deep and is not a "woody" plant, it probably would not work. Hope that makes sense. and thanks for watching!

I'm ordering Pullerbear today ! what a back saver it will be. But I also need one to pull/dig tiny tree seedlings on my small native tree farm. Do you have something to do that?
Thanks for watching! Are your seedlings planted in a loose media like wood chips or in compacted soil? If they have a small enough root mass and in a loose media, I bet the puller bear would work if you wrapped the jaws in a towel or sleeve them with a rubber hose or something.. Just something to not damage the bark with the jaws.... just a suggestion.. never tried it though.

how does it work on hillsides and steep inclines?
I have had no issues with it.. I would suggest standing on the lower elevation side vs the top side.. you would actually have more leverage and distance lower the handle.
Not very impressed with it. I too have the xl321, i had to remove burrs inside the slide to get it to open freely when it first arrived. I would say it works good on 3/4 to 1 1/4 inch dia trees. Anything smaller than that and it just snapped the trunk leaving a stub sticking out of the ground. Anything bigger than 1 1/4 inches dia was very hard to pull out if it even would pull it out. I am 6'3 270lbs and my wife said the bar was bending as i was trying to pull the larger trees out. I would even work my way around the tree trying to find the weak spot of the roots to no avail. If you just have a few to removed a couple of times a year than it might be worth it. I was clearing a decent sized area so for me a chainsaw made quicker work and a lot less effort.

Doesn't look like any buckthorn I've ever seen. Guy doesn't even know what he's pulling. Guess if farming area it's appropriate to pull but if looking to take back native structure it's simply idiotic.
